A Sweet Thank You

Happy World Card Making Day everyone!

Recently my Red Hat Sisters and I enjoyed a day of fun and shopping in the historic downtown district of our Main Street Community. At one of the shops we were greeted with a fabulous presentation of food and drinks. A little birdie told the lady we would be dropping by! That was so sweet of her!

Using a sketch from RAQ'S Inspirational Challenge 9/29-10/6, my card is a Thank You card for this friend! I enjoy doing fun cards with a Red Hat theme using Cricut cuts and Cuttlebug folders! I just received Cricut Create a Critter cartridge and knew the cow would be a perfect cut for a collector!

Cricut Cartridges:
Create a Critter- Cow cut 2 1/2 inches. This is my first cut using this cartridge and I found that Layer 1 and Layer 2 are reversed on the cuts. Hope other cuts are not this way! Finally cut a cow!!
Everyday Paper Dolls - Hat cut 3 3/4 inch.
Paper Doll Dress Up - Grass cut 1 1/2 inch; Fence cut 1 1/2 inch
A Child's Year - Sweet Balloon cut 4 inch in Red and handcut purple to go under it.
Lovely Floral---Another new cart! Thank you cut 2 1/4 inch in green and shift at the same size in red.

Cuttlebug folders:
Swiss Dots - Hat
Diamonds in the Rough -- Purple background
Houndstooth - Fence

Martha Stewart: Ink and Daisy Dot Edge Punch (small flowers on background are the cutouts from a previous card)
Added a bow using DMC thread to tie the balloon to the cow's tail. Pop-dotted the fence.

Sympathy Card using Home Decor/Cuttlebug

Gee! Why did I wait so long to start a blog!!
As time is available, I am adding cards that were made before I joined the blogging world, thinking my blog would be a great place to keep all my cards. These cards were added on Cricut Community Message Board....you may have seen some of them. Some family and friends have not seen them so I am sharing!

Using one of the lovely sketches from RAQ's Challenge 8/4-8/10 2010 on the Cricut Messageboard, I entered the card at http://www.cuttlebugchallenge.blogspot.com/

I really like the pretty paper from K&Company that I chose for the card and thought it did not need a lot of embellishments.
Carts used -Home Decor- butterfly  and Wild Card for the sentiment.
Cuttlebug Folders - Textile and Swiss Dots.
MS ink

Happy Fall

It is a beautiful Fall day in my area and quite a relief from the high temperatures!

I have been busy trying to add some of my older cards to my blog, but decided it was time to get back to card making! I have really enjoyed working on this card! Hope you enjoy!

Cricut carts used: Walk in my Garden - Sunflower; Stretch Your Imagination - Pumpkins and Sentiment Autumn; Everyday Paper Dolls - Leaves.
Paper is Recollections Autumn Pack bought last year on clearance. Love this double-side paper!
Cuttlebug Folders -Swiss Dots - sunflower center; Divine Swirls - pumpkins; Polka dots-- Brown paper.
Plaid Bow on sunflower is swiped from a little girl scarecrow -- thought it would look better on my card!
Buttons are WM Favorite Findings. Leaf button - tied a little bow with DMC thread, also added a small button on plaid bow
Lots of pop-dots for dimension and MS ink.

Visiting some lovely blogs, I have noticed several challenges that I would like to particpate in, so I will add my card.
