Card for a Red Hat Lady

This card is for a Red Hat Lady who hosted a party for our group this afternoon. The original date of the Valentine party was cancelled because of the bad weather back then. Our group enjoys getting together so we do not mind if the party was after Valentine's Day. This morning as I was making the card, I was trying to incorporate a cut from Cricut Create A Critter so I could enter the card in a challenge.

Patti at Patti-Lynn Creations  and her sister, Linda at Lindascreativity are hosting a new Monday challenge called Creative Sisters Challenge Monday. Linda is hosting the current challenge which is to use Create A Critter. Be sure to check out their websites for the fun challenges and details! I think maybe one day is left to enter this challenge.

Are you surprised to see no critters on my card? But I did use Create A Critter! The Love stamp is found on page 67 and is cut at 3 1/2 inches. Red Hat ladies love red purses, of course, so I chose the purse cut on page 47. This is the page with the zebra! The purse is cut at 2 1/2 inches. The flower is also on page 47 and cut at 2 1/2 inches. I used the Cuttlebug folders Hearts and Swiss Dots on the mats behind the stamp.
The purple strip along the lower edge is made with the Martha Stewart Doily Lace Trim punch. Lots of inking and a few gemstones from my stash! Gotta have the bling!! The Red Hat Society paper is from K&Company which a friend gave me a few years ago. Love that pack of paper!
Our hostess loved the card! Hope you enjoy it too!
