Red Hat Birthday

Welcome to Glenda's Cards! Thanks for stopping by!

Today I am sharing a card made for a Red Hat Lady. It has been awhile since I have played with red and purple and I enjoyed putting this card together. I am playing along with the sketch at Die Cut Diva's this week. The card is 5" x 6 1/2" cut from purple cardstock. It is layered with a gingham check paper cut at 4 3/4' x 6 1/4". Red cardstock measures 4 1/2" x 4 3/4" and is layered with a white cardstock measuring 4 1/4" x 4 1/2". The red dot strip is layered over a purple strip. I was happy to find this new paper. It is getting so hard to find different reds and purples!
Cricut cartridge:
Sweet Treats - Page 28 - Cupcake and layers cut 2.50". Page 42 - Cake plate and layers cut 1.5".
Cuttlebug:
Happy Birthday folder - White mat, Swiss Dots - Cake plate, Divine Swirls - Chocolate Frosting
Martha Stewart - Daisy Dot edge punch - red dot paper
Other products:
Glossy Accents on the chocolate and heart. I thought that adds a yummy, delicious look!
Recollections red and purple flowers are layered and gemstones added to center. Inking. Cupcake and plate are pop-dotted for added dimension.

Challenges:
Die Cuttin' Divas - Sketch - Birthday Celebration
Simply Create Too - Ch. 4 Layers, Layers, and more Layers
Simply Crafts - Sweet Treat Cupcake
My Craft Spot - Ch. 40 - It's Delicious  I think my cupcake fits this challenge!
Birthday Sundaes - New Card with birthday wording/option-something new. My new products are the red dot paper and Recollection flowers.

Hope you enjoy my card!

  14. Thanks for the nice comments on my blog. I'm now a follower of yours. I agree about the red and purple paper. I make birthday cards for all the ladies in my Red Hat group (24 all the same) and I have trouble finding decent paper. I love what you did for yours.
