BBTB2 - Birthday and Pearls

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Happy Monday! It is time for another fun challenge at BBTB2! Our talented design team sister Stephanie is the hostess this week and she chose the theme Birthday and Pearls!
Many of the Cricut cartridges have a card feature with pretty and unique shapes. I chose to use a card feature for the base of my card for this challenge. Papers are K&Company double-sided papers which work really well for the card feature.
Cricut Cartridges:
Damask Decor - Page 64 - Gift. Using the Card Feature on shift, the image is cut at 5" for the card base. Card feature without shift is cut using another patterned paper for the top of the card. The gift shaped card will be a nice birthday card!
Wild Card - Page 61 - Phrase Happy Birthday is cut 6.5". This sentiment is seen inside the card. A personal message could be written on a mat and placed on left side of card.
Other supplies:
Seems like I am on a rosette kick lately! I wanted to dress up the front of the card and I found this small rosette which was too small for a prior project. It is made from papers from the same paper pack. Love these double sided papers because they coordinate so well! The rosette is cut 3/4" and measures 1 1/2" finished. I hand cut a small banner to place under the rosette.
Pearls are from my stash. Inking is Versa Magic Gingerbread.

Be sure to stop by BBTB2 and see the beautiful and inspiring projects made by the talented ladies for this challenge. For more details on the projects, please visit the individual blogs and leave some love! We appreciate your visits and comments!
Now it is your turn to play along with us. We want to see Birthday cards and Pearls! Remember BBTB2 is a Cricut challenge and you must use a Cricut cut on your project and you must mention in your blogpost which Cricut cartridge you used.

Your comments are appreciated!

  5. Beautiful card Glenda! I love this paper, it is my favorite with it's beautiful soft colors. This present cut from Damask looks so different from when I make it. lol All you little extras is what make your cards so fabulous and uniquely yours, like adding that rosette on the front. I would have never thought to do that and it adds so much to your card. Fabulous, just fabulous! Hugs

  8. Hi Glenda -- your card is beautiful!! The paper you chose is so pretty -- I can see why 2-sided papers work so well. I have never used a card feature, so I guess I need to check those out!
