My Sheri Crafts - Ch.85 Wedding/Anniversary

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!
Thank you for stopping by today and I am sending a big Thank You to my new followers!

It is Saturday and My Sheri Crafts has a fun challenge starting today. Miss Sue is the hostess for Challenge 85 Wedding/Anniversary. She asked us to create a Wedding/Anniversary project using Black, White, and a pop of color. We are happy to have Paula Bee of Craft With Bee as our guest designer this week!
My card measures 5" x 7" and is cut from Red Recollections cardstock. It is layered with a 4 3/4" x 6 3/4" Colorbok patterned paper. I have a limited - actually only 2 or 3 papers that have only black and white colors. This paper was my choice to add a bit of fancy!

Cricut Cartridge:
Phrases - Page 27 Mr. and Mrs. image is cut at 3" using red, black and white papers. The shadow image is cut from a piece of vellum-like paper.

Other supplies include Recollections rhinestones and the image is pop-dotted on the mat.

I wanted the Mr and Mrs. to be the main focal part of the card, so this card has limited embellishments. I am pleased with the results and think the card can be used for either an anniversary or wedding.

Hop over to My Sheri Crafts to see all the gorgeous projects by the design team and our guest designer! For more details on the projects, please visit each blog and leave a little love! We appreciate your support and love your comments!

Now it is your turn to play along with us! Remember you must use the theme Wedding/Anniversary and colors Black and White with a pop of color. Several Ooo La La awards will be given and one lucky person will be chosen to be our next guest designer!

BBTB2 - Frame Challenge

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Thanks for stopping by today! It is Monday and time again for a fun Cricut challenge at BBTB2. I am so excited to be part of this team with all the amazing and talented designers. Our challenge this week is to use a frame on a card or layout! Many of the Cricut cartridges have frame images and you can use a frame from any cartridge.
My card measures 5" x 7" and is cut from Colorbok white cardstock. The pretty double-sided patterned papers are scraps of K&Company paper pads. I love these papers and colors and the double sided papers work well together. I tore a bit of the floral paper at the top, inked the torn edges, and placed a scrap of plaid paper under it for added interest.
Cricut Cartridges:
Elegant Edges- Page 68 Oblong Frame is cut 4.25". I used the Oblong feature on shift cut at 4.25" for the blackout image. This is cut from a pretty pale green vellum paper. If you look closer, you may be able to see the floral patterned paper under the frame. I added a pink vellum under the little cutouts of the frame, but it does not show well in the photo.
Walk In My Garden - Page 98 Rose is cut 2.37". This is one of my favorite rose images.
Florals Embellished - Page 60 The word Grandma is cut .75".

Cuttlebug: Swiss Dots Folder is used on the green vellum. The embossing added a bit of white to the dots!

Other supplies:
Rosette is a 3/4" wide strip of the plaid paper. Paper is scored, inked, and folded to create the rosette. With the pink on the outside, the rosette has a unique look of its own. I added a strip of lace under the rosette. The pearl button is from my stash. I like using buttons on the centers of rosettes- easy to glue the shank in the opening.

A Teacher Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Today I am sharing a card made for a couple of challenges! With the school term ending date fast approaching, the card will be for a grandson to give to his teacher. I am playing along with the sketch challenge at Die Cuttin Divas.
Card measures 5"x 7" cut from white cardstock. Patterned papers were in my stash given to me by a friend.
Cricut cartridges:
Plantin Schoolbook - This is the oldest cartridge in my cartridge library..it came with the first Cricut purchase. It has images that work well with my card. Page 77- Award is cut 3". The A, plus sign, and letters to spell Teacher are cut at .75".
Wow! that is it -- one cartridge today!
Other supplies:
Martha Stewart Ribbon Loop Edge Punch
Apple button from my stash.
Dew Drop Versa Magic inking

This is a simple card but I think the teacher will appreciate it!
It certainly is bright - do I get A+ for the colors!!

Challenges:
Die Cuttin' Divas - Ch 63 Sketch
Cooking With Cricut - Ch. 84 Teacher Appreciation Day

I appreciate your comments!
Please come back tomorrow as I will be making my first post as a design team member at BBTB2! Time for a new challenge and we hope to see you there!
