BBTB2 - Bakery Challenge

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Happy Monday everyone! Hope all you Moms had a great day!
It is time for another fun challenge at BBTB2! This week our talented Julia has chosen a Bakery Challenge. This can be anything that you find in a bakery and can be cut from any Cricut cartridge. You can make a card, layout, or 3D project.
My card is 5' x 6 1/2" cut from light blue cardstock. The patterned paper is Recollections Cupcake. How sweet is that! So naturally I chose to do a cupcake. Rest of the papers are from my scraps stash.
Cricut Cartridges:
Elegant Edges - Page 39  Swirl 2 using shift key is cut at 3.25" from white Colorbok cardstock. Frame image is cut same size from blue cardstock.
Sweet Treats - Page 28 Cupcake is cut 1.75". Page 61 Make a wish is cut 1.125".

Cuttlebug: Frills (This is one of the 5 pack borders) - Pink mat
Swiss Dots on the Frame and the word wish.

Other supplies:
Glossy Accent - chocolate frosting and pink heart. Sorry, my photo does not show that well.
Paper Studio Spare Parts - Cupcake brad. I have had this package for a long time. I thought the little cupcake would work well with my card! It is pop-dotted on card.
Paper Studio - Brown rick rack
Pop-dots - Sentiment - Make a Wish.
Inking is Dew Drop Versa Magic Gingerbread

Be sure to visit BBTB2 and see all the yummy creations by the design team. Visit each design team members' blog to find out all about their project! We love your visits and comments!
Now it is your turn to create a project with a Bakery theme. Remember this is a Cricut challenge and you must use a Cricut cartridge and mention which cartridge in your blogpost. We look forward to seeing your pretty projects. One person will be chosen to receive the Project of the Week button!

Down on the Farm Scene

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Happy Mother's Day! Hope you are having a great day!
It was a rainy day here on Saturday. After housecleaning and laundry, I was able to play with my Cricut and design this card with the farm scenes. This really took a lot of time with the cutting and layering but I am happy with the results. I enjoy living in the country and enjoy the country scenes!
The card is cut from a piece of white Colorbok cardstock at 8" x 9" and  folded in half to make a 4" x 9" tall card. The background paper is Recollections Light Blue Distressed. I was happy to find this in my stash and thought it would be good for the sky. All other papers are from my scrap stash.
Cricut Cartridges:
Country Life - Looks like I am showcasing this cartridge as I added many of the images to the card.
Page 43 and 44 - Hen 1 and Hen 2 cut 1.25". I first cut the images smaller but the paper kept tearing in the Cricut so I had to increase the size.
Page 52 - Apple tree cut 2.75
Page 58 -  Barn cut 2.75"
Page 58 - Phrase Down On The Farm cut 1".
Page 63 - Windmill cut 2.50". Of course it had to be cut in yellow and green!
Page 72- Countryside on shift cut 2"- one was cut on flip. This is the greenery at the bottom of card. Using the layer1 on shift, cut two greenery at 1".
Page 73 - Wildflower image on shift for the green grass cut 1.5". This is the 2 light green grasses at fence.
Create a Critter
Page 29 - Sun cut 1.5"
Page 69 - Red Flowers (Accessory key) cut 1.5"
I used lots of inking which was a tough job with the smaller pieces. I had more on my fingers than on paper!

Challenges:
My Craft Spot - Ch 55 - Down on the Farm (farm animals, barn, country, etc.)
Simply Crafts -  Create a Critter Cartridge - Sun

Hope you enjoy my card!
