My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 162 Country Strong

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today begins a new and fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts. Our design team sister Peachy has chosen for the theme of Ch. 162- Country Strong. Since August 2-8 is National Farmer's Market week, Peachy asked us to create a card or project with a farm/country life inspiration. Living in a farming area, I am able to enjoy many pretty scenes. My thoughts turned to creating one of those pretty little scenes and of course, I had to have a barn!

The card measures 5" x 7" and is cut from white Colorbok card stock. I layered the card with a 4 7/8" x 6 7/8" Recollections Light Blue Distressed paper to create the sky background. All other papers are from the scrap stash.

Cricut Cartridges:
Country Life - Barn scene is cut 5.5" wide, Tractor/girl is cut with the shadow at 2.34" wide, Phrase Farm Raised is cut 2.50" wide, and Chicken is cut 1.31" wide.
Every Day Paper Dolls - Grass is cut 7" wide.
Wild Card - Sun is cut 1.50" wide.

Now it is your turn to play along with us! Visit My Sheri Crafts to see the pretty and inspiring projects made by the design team and our guest designer! For more information, please visit the individual blogs and leave us a little love. We look forward to seeing your cards and projects!

I am pleased with my little country scene! Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you for your visits and comments!

  5. Ooh Glenda! Your farm came out so adorable. I love your use of embossing for the barn house, that has a nice effect. Your blade must be really sharp... that farm girl cut on the tractor came out so smoothly and such a small detailed cut too! Wonderful job
