My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 157 It's Graduation Day!

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is time again for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts and it is my turn to choose the theme. For Challenge 157, I have chosen It's Graduation Day. I am asking that you make a graduation or school related card or project.
Gosh, where did the school year go! And where has so much time gone! I cannot believe my granddaughter is graduating this year! It seems like just a few days ago, she was starting kindergarten!

Cricut Cartridges:
Simple Everyday Cards -  Using class colors, the card is cut 8.5" x 5.5" from a blue cardstock. Liner is cut from white and a handcut piece of gold paper is added at the bottom behind the words. The envelope was also cut from the gold paper.
Happy Graduation - Graduation cap cut 2" high,  Good Luck Graduate is cut 3.75" wide, Confetti is also from this same cartridge. I failed to write down the size.
Cricut Alphabet - 2015 is cut .75" high.
Wild Card - Class of is cut 3.5" wide

Damask Decor Teapot

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I have been playing with one of my forgotten Cricut cartridges that has many pretty images. The card is white cardstock which measures 5" x 6 1/2". The pretty double-sided papers are from a Momenta cardstock pad.

Cricut Cartridge:
Damask Decor- Tea Party image is cut 3.70" high. The image features 4 layers - teapot, cup, filigree, and shadow. I chose to use the pretty coordinating patterned papers for this image. It is pop-dotted on the card.

I hand cut the pink rectangle and the little banner. Just Rite Stamp was used for You're the Best.
The burlap butterfly is Petaloo Textured Elements. I think it is pretty with the butterfly background paper.

Challenges:
BBTB2 -  Tea Time - Use a teapot or teacup

Red Hat Lady Birthday

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I made this card for one of my friends who is also a Red Hat Lady! It has been awhile since I have played with red and purple and I enjoyed working on this card!

Cricut Cartridges:
Christmas Kitsch - The present card is cut 5 1/2" from red Recollection paper and the liner is purple. It was fun to make this card using a different theme than Christmas. You may want to review some of the nice card features on the cartridges.
Heritage - Hat on stand is cut 3" wide.
Cricut Classic Font - It's Your Day is cut 2.07" wide x 2.28" high.
Storybook - Birthday Girl is cut 4.75" wide.
Gypsy Wanderings - Shoe is cut 2.45" wide x 1.71" high. I cut two shoes--one is used on front of envelope and second shoe is on the back side of envelope.
I made the purple card using Martha Stewart Scoreboard. The purple floral embellishment is from Recollections.
