My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 160 Happy 4th of July

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is time again for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts and my turn to choose the theme. With the 4th of July fast approaching (where did the first half of the year go!) I would like to see patriotic projects. Challenge 160 is Happy 4th of July... make a patriotic card or project! I decided to try another double twisted easel card. The tutorial for the card can be found at Split Coast Stampers. The card starts with an 8" square blue cardstock. The patterned papers are from The Paper Studio. I love all the patterns together. Solid papers are from scrap stash.

Cricut Cartridges:
Independence Day - Hat is cut 3.25" wide. Flag is cut 4" wide. Both images are pop-dotted on the card. The small stars at the bottom of card are the cut out stars from the hat.
Phrases - 4th of July is cut 4" wide. Phrase is layered on a blue hand cut mat which measures 4.5" x 2.75". It is pop-dotted on the card.
Cuttlebug Folder - Stars used on the blue mat.

It's Your Day

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Needing a birthday card, I checked out some of the shaped Cricut cards that are available in Cricut Design Space. I chose this card with the cupcake. I do own this cartridge but I have not used it very much--just like a lot more of my cartridges! Papers are from the scrap stash except for the white sheet of cardstock to cut the envelope!

Cricut Cartridges:
Wild Card 2 - Card is cut 7" high. Envelope is cut 10" wide from white cardstock. The sentiment Make A Wish is cut 1.75" high and is used inside the card.
Birthday Bash - Tag "It's Your Day" is cut 1.25" wide. The words are with the tag, but rather than cutting tiny letters, I used the write feature on the Cricut Explore and Pink Crystal pen.
Cuttlebug- Divine Swirls on the frosting.

Inside of card.
White mat for a personal message is hand cut 3" wide x 2 1/2" high. I cut an extra cupcake in pink to add on the mat. The cupcake shape is cut with the envelope.

Card and Envelope
Other supplies include DMC Memory Thread bow on the tag and White Gelly Roll pen for added highlights on the card.
