My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 174 Be My Valentine

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Yay! It is Saturday and that means it is time for a new and fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts! This week our design team sister Sandy is the hostess for Ch. 174 Be My Valentine. We are to use the colors, pink, white, or red! You may know by now, that I love pink so this challenge is perfect for me!

My project begins with a reversible paper of two pretty shades of pink from a Keepsake Essentials 12" x 12" Paper Pack. Guess I held on to it long enough!!

Cricut Cartridges:
Valentine's Day - Dear to my Heart card is cut 21.46" wide x 8.58" high. This image also includes an envelope. My folded card measures approximately 3.75" x 5.50". Just looking at the card in Cricut Design Space before it is loaded into the project page, I did not see all the pretty pen work on the heart and edges of the card. I thought Wow when the card actually loaded.
Sweetheart - Heart Petal Flowers are cut 1" wide and four at 1.25" wide. I cut these flowers from the reversed side of the paper for a little more interest.
Winter Frolic - Swirls are cut 3.50" wide without the shadow image.

Pink Crinkle Ribbon is from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces. Love this pink!

Photo of card opened out.

Card is only two shades of pink but my camera did not do well with the photographs.

 Closed card and envelope.

Now it is your turn to play along with us! Visit My Sheri Crafts to see all the pretty pink, white, and red projects. For more information on the projects, please visit the individual blogs!
We look forward to seeing your projects!

Birthday Cupcake

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

With a fast approaching birthday for my Mom, I  wanted to try a new card style. Browsing through card tutorials at SplitCoastStampers, I chose the Flap Fold Card. I do not have a 2 1/2" circle punch or die, so my thoughts turned to my Cricut machine. Maybe I could make the card with it! Well, this is my results! Card is cut 4.25" x 11" from blue DCWV textured cardstock. Using Cricut Design Space, I added score lines at the 2.5" and 6.75", then added a 2.50 " circle to cut the opening in my card. From there, it was playing with Cricut images to complete the card!

Cricut Cartridges:
Love You A Latte - Strawberry Cupcake is cut 1.25" wide and is pop-dotted on the scallop circle.
Elegant Edges - Circle Scallop is cut 2.3" wide x 2.28" high.
Once Upon a Princess - Cupcake Heart is cut 1.75" wide. It is pop-dotted on the card to hold the flap down.
Elegant Embellishments - Birthday is cut 2.25" wide.
Straight From the Nest - Cupcake corner is cut 2" wide. This was cut to use on the flap, but it seemed too large. Since it was cut, I added it on the inside sentiment mat. A hand written sentiment will be added.

Martha Stewart Daisy Dots was used for the decorative edge on the flap.

Challenges:
DieCuttinDivas - Ch. 250 Chocolate Cake Day - Use cake or Cupcake
Little Scrap Pieces - Saturday Linky Party
Simply Create Too - Ch 101 - Ch. 101 Something New- I used a new card style.

I am pleased with the results of my Flap Fold card. Hope you enjoy it!
