My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 176 Lovely Lace

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today begins a new fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts. Design team sister Kristi chose Ch. 176 Lovely Lace. We are to use lace somewhere on the project.
I have been wanting to use the Pleated Skirt Fold on a card. The tutorial can be found at Split Coast Stampers. I knew some left over papers from K&Company Watercolor Bouquet 12" x 12" paper pad would work beautifully for the pleated skirt and card. I love these pretty reversible papers! Card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" cut from white cardstock.

Cricut Cartridges:
Mother's Day Boquet - Flower is cut 1.75", 1.50", 1.25" and 1.00" wide. I spritzed each layer with water and crumpled. After partially drying, I formed the flower. Flower is attached with a pop-dot.
Cindy Loo - Phrase Thinking of You is cut 3" wide.
Anna's Lace Cards and Embellishments - Birthday Sentiment. Sentiment was attached to a 3.75" wide rectangle shape and written with the Cricut Midnight pen. This is used inside the card.

Eyelet lace and ribbon are from my stash.

Carnival Fun

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Playing with Cricut Design Space, I tried making a shaped card. This is the results!

Cricut Cartridges:
Birthday Cake - Tent shape card. After welding two of the tent shapes, the card is cut 5.52" wide x 9.21" high from blue cardstock. I did a repeat of the shape and size cutting white cardstock for the inside liner. This added layer adds stability to the welded area.
Carousel - Carnival banner is cut 4.35" wide x 1.37" high. Ticket is cut 3" wide x 1.64" high. I added Ticket for Fun using the Add Text box. This is used inside the card.

For a finishing touch, I added a Memory thread bow.

Inside of the card. I placed the image higher on the card so that none of the ticket was seen while looking at front of card. Card can be used for birthday or a "just for fun" card--maybe add a ticket to a circus or carnival for the recipient. Or as for my grandsons..include money!!

Anna's Lace Card -Red and White

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I wanted to make an anniversary card for a special couple..not just any anniversary but one that only occurs every four years. Yes Leap Day! I chose a couple of the pretty Anna Griffin Cricut cartridges for the images. Card measures 5" x 7" and is cut from white Colorbok paper and red Recollections paper.

Cricut Cartridges:
Anna's Lace Cards and Embellishments - Heart card is cut 20" wide x 11.82" high. This size includes an envelope. I like the pretty cut out hearts on the front and decided to leave it as is. I cut a second red liner and used it inside the card.
Heart Border is cut 4.50" wide and used inside the card.
Anna's Garden Cards and Embellishments - Anniversary Sentiment is written with the Cricut Midnight pen on the rectangle shape. The rectangle was cut 4.25" wide. The sentiment is used inside the card. Love the sentiment!

Inside the card.
I am pleased with the results of this card. It was fun making the card with just the red and white colors.

Double Dutch Fold - Birthday Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It has been quite some time since I have made a Double Dutch Fold card. You can see that card here. I decided it was time to try another of the pretty fold cards. Using the tutorial at Split Coast Stampers, I cut the paper at 4 3/16" x 9" and the second piece at 2" x 8 1/2" from a double sided cardstock. The pretty patterned papers are from K&Company Classic 12"x12" paper pad. Actually these papers are scraps left from a previous project. The finished card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".

Cricut Cartridges:
Lacy Labels - Best wishes label is cut 3.15" wide x 1.96" high. It is pop-dotted on the upper flap.
Anna's Lovely Layered Cards - I chose to use the pretty Happy Birthday Friend sentiment for inside the card. Using Cricut Design Space and Insert Image feature, I inserted the square and changed it into a rectangle that measure 3.25" wide. The Cricut Midnight pen is used for the writing. I really love the sentiments on this cartridge!

Inside the card.

A view of the opened, standing card.

I was able to use all four patterns of the two double-sided papers. Love how it turned out!
