Iris Folding Clover

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!
It has been quite some time since I added Iris Folding on a card and I wanted to play with all that folded paper. My first Iris Folding card can be found Here. I searched through my papers for patterned St. Patrick's Day papers for the clover but found only two papers. I chose to go with different shades of solid green. Card is 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" cut from green card stock.
Cricut Cartridges:
Designer's Calendar - Using Cricut Design Space, I cut the clover shape opening in the white paper at 2.75" wide. I used the free square template at Circle of Crafters for the placement of the different colors of paper on the clover. This pattern has been donated to the public domain.
Basic Shapes - White layer is cut 4" wide x 5.25" high.
Phrases - Happy St. Patrick's Day is cut 3.75" wide.
A Memory Thread bow and green rhinestones are added for a finishing touch to the card. With all the folded papers under the openings, it does make the card a bit bulky.

Challenges:
Cut It Up - Ch. 91 St. Paddy's Day
Decorate to Celebrate - Ch. 5 Anything Goes
DL.ART  - Ch. 175 Frog and/or use color Green
Double D Challenges:  Feeling Green
FCCB - Ch. 271 St. Patrick's Day
Fun Cuts - N is for Nature (clover)
Jo's Scrap Shack -- Ch. 128 Anything Goes
PDE Linky Party - Ch. 113 Anything Goes

Hope you enjoy this card--maybe inspired to try Iris Folding!

Happy Leprechaun

 Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It seems I was just working on Christmas cards and now I am playing along with St. Patrick's Day/Green challenges. Then, both Spring and Easter will be in the month of March. I am so ready for Spring! It has been beautiful days this week and I should be working more in my yard, but guess who has been playing with the Cricut!

Card is 5" x 6/12 inches white cardstock. Striped paper is My Mind's Eye Simply Delightful and solid papers are from the scrap stash.

Cricut Cartridges:
St. Patrick's Day - Leprechaun is cut 2.5" wide. This image has many little pieces. Leprechaun is attached to a Wobble spring for a little fun movement.
Basic Shapes - White circle is cut 3.5" and green circle is cut 3.65". Cuttlebug Diamond in the Rough is used on the white circle.
Classroom February and March - Shamrock is cut .75" wide from two shades of green paper. I cut three shamrocks and added a small green rhinestone in each.

Sentiment "Get your HAPPY on" is from Mary at CARDZ TV. Thank you so much Mary for my recent win of your lovely stamps! I thought this would be perfect for my happy leprechaun!

Crinkle ribbon bow is from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces. Thank you so much for the pretty ribbons Karen!

Thank you Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing a Thank You card. Card is cut from white card stock and measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". The pretty patterned papers are KC Company left overs from previous projects. When buying 12" x 12" paper pads, I can make several cards from one sheet of the paper. Of course I love K&Company and sometimes just hate to cut the paper!

Cricut Cartrdiges:
Sugar and Spice -- Thank you card is cut 5.25" wide x 4" high.  One layer of images include small flowers in the upper left corner and lower right corner with the thank you words. I chose not to use the flowers since I was using a floral patterned paper. In Cricut Design Space, using Contour feature, I hid the small flowers. Then I increased the size of Thank you to .75" high. The original words were very tiny, not suitable for my card size.
Anna's Garden Cards and Embellishments - Sentiment used inside. I like that sentiment!
The First Few Years - Photo frame.. I used only the scallop frame with the openings cut 4.86" wide 2.66"h. The sentiment was written on this frame using the Cricut Black pen.

Recollection flowers with rhinestones and a bow complete the card.

It is a Frog!

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Hope you enjoyed the extra day this year! Yesterday was a beautiful day in my neighborhood. I took advantage of it by working in my yard. I also made time to play with my Cricut! After viewing several challenges relating to Leap Day/ Frogs, I thought a frog image would be good for an upcoming boy's birthday card.

Card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and is cut from Kraft cardstock. Papers are from My Mind's Eye Simply Delightful 12"x12" paper pad.

Cricut Cartridges:
Camping Critters - Frog Catching Butterfly is cut 2.75" wide. I am sure the little frog is Leaping a lot trying to catch that butterfly!
Classroom Feb and March - Happy Birthday is cut 3.75" wide. The sentiment is used inside the card!

Inside of card.

I will be adding an extra frog surprise for the recipient!

It is a corner bookmark that I cut using the Cricut Page Pal Frog image. It is cut 4.75" wide. I used the back side of the above card to take the photo of my cute little book mark. Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder is used for added dimension. Love those little glasses!

Challenges:
BBTB2 - Leap Day -- Something jumping or leaping
Cut It Up - Ch. 90 Leap Day - Use a Frog
DL.ART  - Ch. 175 Frogs or/and color green
Paper Play Sketches - Ch. 2 Sketch
