Explosion Card For My Friend

Card Style Challenge to my friend Cathy was to make an Explosion Card. I have made an Explosion Card before, but for today's card I followed a tutorial on Anna Griffin Inc. Facebook page. This card is 7" wide x 5" high. Other tutorials can be found on Pinterest. Papers are Anna Griffin.

Paper used for the explosion pop out is cut 10" x 10". This is used inside the card.

Cricut Cartridges:
Anna's Window Ledge Card - Card base is cut 7" wide x 10" high. The three rose group is used inside card.
Anna's Flourish Cards and Embellishments - Flourish is cut 6" wide x 2.978" high.
Anna's Roses -  Roses on the front of card. Double roses used inside the card.

Using a 1" x 12" strip of paper from the leftover paper of the explosion cut, I made a rosette for the front of card. Brad from my supply stash finishes the rosette.

Sentiment "For My Friend" is from one of Anna's card making kits. Pop-dots are used on front of card. 

Cuttlebug Anna Griffin Matelasse embossing border is used on the green strip.

Inside the card:
Anna's Bridal and Baby Soirees- Bridal Doily is cut 3.50". I cut two of these.
Anna's Lovely Layered Cards 2  - Sentiment " With Love" is written with the Cricut Midnight pen on one bridal doily.

Another Thank You Card

I am sharing another card made using a Cricut Design Space Anna Griffin project with my Cricut Maker. Wanting to make a pretty Thank you card, I chose to use pinks, green, and floral print for the cut images.

Cricut Cartridges:

Anna's Window Ledge Cards - The card is cut 10" x 7" from pink recollection cardstock. All images are cut at size brought into Cricut Design Space. I love the window, window box, and awning images on this cartridge! Just For You sentiment, flowers, and bushes are print and cut images.

Cuttlebug Anna Griffin Regal Braid embossing folder was used on the front on the card.

Pop-dots were used on the flowers and sentiment banner for added dimension.

Using Insert Shape feature, a square was sized to 4.75" wide x 6.75" rectangle for the floral mat.

Cricut Anna's Summer Soirees - Pool Label is cut 4.25" wide x 3.286" high from white cardstock.

Cricut Anna's Flourish Cards & Embellishments - Sentiment "Your Kindness Is A Treasured Keepsake" is written on the white label using the Cricut Pink Crystal pen.

I like the results. Hope you do too!

Needing a pretty Get Well card, I turned to my Cricut Maker and Anna Griffin images. The card measures 4 1/4" wide x 5 1/2" high. Papers are white Colorbok and Recollections pink and green cardstock.

Cricut Cartridges:

Anna's Flourish Cards & Embellishments - The pretty flourish card is cut 8.5" wide x 5.5" high from the white Colorbok cardstock.

Anna's Window Frame Cards - Feel Better Soon sentiment is cut 1.873" wide x 3.5" high.

Anna's Window Ledge Cards - Large Roses cut 2.818" wide x 2.305" high. I cut 3 smaller roses at 1.636" wide x 1.493" high. One is cut on flip.

Anna's Fantastic FlipCards  - Butterfly is cut 1" wide.

Anna's Elegant Embellishments - Tag is cut 3.50" wide x 2.384" high.

Anna's Lovely Layered Cards - Sentiment "Thinking of You" is written with the Cricut Midnight pen on the white tag. 

Cuttlebug Anna Griffin Blossom Dance embossing folder is used on the pink layer of the card.

Happy Birthday Window Ledge Card

Today I am sharing a birthday card made with my newest purchased Cricut cartridge. Card is 5" x 7" and is cut from Recollections purple cardstock. White paper is Colorbok and other papers are from Anna Griffin.

Cricut Cartridges:

Anna's Window Ledge Cards - I was so happy to recently see this cartridge available in Cricut Design Space for purchase. I bought the first cartridge in this set from HSN, but did not sign up for auto ship for the two following cartridges. Now I have all three cartridges and I am a happy crafter!

Card is cut 10" wide x 7" high. Window is cut 3.25" wide x 5.23" high. Curtains cut 2.733" wide x 4.546" high. Awning is cut 3.165" wide x 1.297" high. Window box is cut 3.488" wide x 1.056" high. 

Using Print and Cut feature, the flowers are cut 2.591" wide x 2.5" wide with one flower cut using flip feature. Banner is cut 3.11" wide x 1.056" high. Flower used inside card cut 2.371" wide x 1.8" high. Butterfly was left over from previous project.

Inside Card:

Anna's Summer Soirees - Lace label is cut 4.5" wide x 4.5" high.

Anna's Flourish Cards and Embellishments - Special Day Sentiment is written on the label using the Cricut Lavender pen.

Cuttlebug folder is Anna Griffin Woven Diamonds.

I am sharing a birthday card. This was so much fun to make! Card is 5" x 7" cut from Recollections pink cardstock. Patterned paper are Anna Griffin.

Cricut Cartridges:

Anna's Scoring Wheel Tricks -- If you have purchased the cartridge, the paper flower is available in Cricut Design Space. Choose Projects then under All Categories, Choose Anna Griffin. The name of the project is Flower Paper Tricks Card. I cut the flower as stated size 10.747" wide x 6.24" high. I then customized the card for my needs.

Cricut green cardstock cut 5" x 7" for the base of card was adhered to the pink card. Second mat cut 4.75" wide x 6.75" high. Black stripe strip cut 3" x 7". Pink/gold paper cut 4.75" wide x 1.50" high.

Anna's Fantastic FlipCards - Butterfly cut 1.75".

Sentiment Birthday Wishes is from a purchased Anna Griffin cardmaking kit.

Anna's papers are too pretty to toss small scraps, so I combined three papers for the base mat inside the card.

Father's Day Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today's post features a Father's Day card. Recently I made cards for the oldest and youngest mothers at my church, so I am making cards for the dads. Card is 4 1/4" wide x 5 1/2" high. I used Recollections cardstock and patterned paper. I think the anchor is a good choice for a masculine card. While working on this card, I was inspired by the hymn "In Times Like These". We all need to be sure our anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!

Creative Holiday Cards - Anchor Card is cut 8.5" wide x 5.5" high from white cardstock.
Anna's Flourish Cards & Embelishments - Perfect Day Sentiment is written on the front of card using the Cricut midnight pen. I cut a 3 3/4" x 3 7/8" piece of the patterned paper for the background of the card. The red circle mat is pop-dotted on the card.
Father's Day Fan Club - Happy Father's Day is cut 3.353" wide x 1.718" high. This is placed inside the card.

Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder is used on the red circle mat for more dimension.

Card for a Red Hat Lady

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Time to have a little fun with Red and Purple! I wanted to make a card for a Red Hat Lady. The pretty dark purple paper reverses to a light purple and works well for me. It is from The Paper Company and I purchased it a long time ago at a clearance price. Red paper is Recollections.

Cricut Cartridges:

Anna's Gracious Giftables - Teapot Holder is cut 17.73" wide x 10.6" high. This is the size recommended on Anna's blog which also includes a gift card image for the inside and a band to go around the card. This makes a large teapot, about 7 3/4" wide. I will size down the teapot image when I make it again. Red Roses are print and cut...size is 3.25" wide. I cut two with one image on flip. I did not record the size of the smaller roses used inside the card.

Anna's Lovely Layered Cards 2 --Tag is cut 1.837" wide x 3"high.

Anna's Lovely Layered Cards -- Happy Birthday Friend is written with the Cricut Midnight pen on the above mentioned tag.

Anna's Elegant Embellishments 2 -- Tag is cut 4.5" wide x 3.065" high. This is used inside the card.

Anna's Flourish Cards and Embellishments - Special Day Sentiment is written with the Midnight pen on inside tag.

I cut two lid images to have one for the backside. I used Cuttlebug Anna Griffin Woven Diamonds folder for the embossing.

Red Crinkle Ribbon from DL.ART is used to tie the sentiment tag on the teapot. Thanks Diana for the pretty ribbons!

With the cold weather we have been having, I have been playing in my craft room. This card is cut from pink Recollections paper and measures 4 1/4" wide x 5 1/2" high.

Cricut Cartridges:

Anna's Flourish Cards and Embellishments - Flourish card is cut 8.50" wide x 5.527" high without the included envelope. This is my first try using this Anna Griffin image. 

Anna's Fantastic Flip Cards - These are Print and Cut images..love the flowers! Large double flower is 2.75" wide x 2.396" high. Single flower is 1.75" wide x 1.74" high. Corners cut 1.53" wide x 1.523" high.

Anna's Summer Soirees - Pool label is cut 3.25" wide x 4.202"high. I recently bought several Anna Cartridges and this is first image to use from this cartridge.

Anna's Fantastic Flip Cards - Sentiment Happy Birthday is written with the Cricut Pink Crystal pen on the pool label. I added an extra flower on the label.

I purchased Anna Griffin Fancy Flips Card Making Kit & Cutting Dies from HSN before I actually got the cartridge. The cartridge kept selling out. I was so happy to finally get the digital images. Guess what.. I have not used the kit!! Well, for this project, the sentiment on the front is from the kit. I spent too much money for the kit to sit on the shelf!!

Card for a Red Hat Lady

Needing a birthday card for a Red Hat Lady friend, I enjoyed playing with one of my recently purchased Anna Griffin cartridges. Card measures 4 7/8 " wide x 6 7/8" high. Card is cut from Recollections red cardstock. Other papers include Red Hat Society papers that I have had a long time. Purple and white papers are from the stash.

Looking through some of my older Cricut cartridges, I came across this card image. I do not know why I have never made the card before, but I decided it was time to try it. Card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". Patterned papers are from Prima The Second Wind 12" x 12" paper pad.

Cricut Cartridges:

Damask Decor   - Damask Card is cut 8.50" wide x 5.50" high. 

Hopeless Romantic Font - I wanted to make this a Thank you card. Using the font, I cut the letters at 2.92" wide x .883" high. Letters were glued in the open space on front of card.

Inside the card:

Anna's Flourish Cards and Embellishments - Thoughtfulness sentiment is written on an inserted 4" x 4" square paper with the Cricut Midnight pen. Isn't that a pretty and meaningful sentiment!

Country Carnival - Country Rose is a print and cut image. Size measures 1.391" wide x 1.278" high. I think the flower printed out pretty.

With a little fun Cricut time, I was able to make another Mother's Day card for a friend. This card measures 5 1/2" x 4.25". The pretty papers are from Prima The Second Wind Paper Pad.

Mother's Day Cards 13 - Fancy Edge Card is cut 5.5" wide x 8.50" high. I love the pretty shaped edge on the front of the card and the cut out in the word Mom.

Anna's Vintage Florals  - Flower Basket  is a pretty print and cut image. It measures 2.397" x 3.375".

Anna's Flourish Cards & Embellishments - Sentiment "May you have a day that is perfect in every way" is printed on a 4.25" wide x 3" high rectangle. It was printed using the Cricut Midnight pen. This is used inside the card.

Today I am sharing a card made using Anna Griffin products! Card measures 5" x 7" and is cut from white Bazzill card stock. Other papers are Recollections.

Cricut Cartridges:

Anna's Vintage Florals - I enjoy playing with these pretty floral images from the digital print and cut cartridge. Iris is cut 2.5" wide x 3.62" high. 

Anna's Splendid Soiree - Lace Invitation is cut 4.75" wide x 6.64" high. This includes the purple mat, yellow doily, and white mat. Rather than using these images as an invitation, I chose to use it as the front of the card. The doily image has slots on each inside corner for the white mat to slide in. I eliminated those slots. 

Anna's Flourish Cards and Embellishments - The sentiment "Wishing you all the best" is written with the Cricut Midnight pen on the white mat.

Anna's Lace Cards and Embellishments - The butterfly is cut 1.45" wide x 1.65" high.

For added details, I added a strip of lace and a yellow crinkle ribbon bow.
I am happy with the finished card! Hope you enjoy!

It is already the last Tuesday of January and time for another fun challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas! Ch 302 is Anything Goes with a Die Cut. I am playing with my new Cuttlebug Anna Griffin die and several Anna Griffin Cartridges. Card is cut from white cardstock and measures 5" x 7" when folded. Papers are from The Paper Studio.

Cuttlebug folder is Anna Griffin Flower Bramble. I really like the looks of the white embossed image on the pretty pink plaid paper.

Anna's Flourish Cards and Embellishments - Decorative Icon image is cut 4.50" wide x 2.78". This image is cut from the pink, green, and white papers. It is pop-dotted on the card.

Anna's Elegant Embellishments 2- The word Celebrate is written on the white mat using the Cricut Midnight pen.

Anna's Splendid Soiree - Bow is cut 1.50" wide x 1.19" high.

Anna's Elegant Embellishments - Flower is cut 2" wide x 1.68" high. I pop-dotted the flower on the card.

For the inside of the card, I cut the Lace Place Mat from Anna's Splendid Soirees cartridge at 5" x 3.75". Happy Birthday to You from Anna's Lovely Layered Cards 2 is written on the white mat.

I love Anna Griffin's cartridges and I am really pleased with this card.

 Today I am sharing another Mother's Day Card. Card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and is cut from white cardstock. K&Company patterned papers are left over from previous projects. Solid papers are from scrap stash too!

Using insert shapes in Cricut Craft Room, the plaid base paper is cut 5 1/4" x 4".

Elegant Edges: Rectangle lace edge label is cut 3.35" wide x 4.3" high.

Kate's ABCs - Watering can flowers is cut 2.5" high.

Pretty Pennants - Pennants are cut at 3 varying sizes.

Wild Card- Happy Mother's Day is cut 2.5" wide.

Anna's Flourish Cards and Embellishments - Perfect Day Sentiment is printed on a 3.50" wide x 2" rectangle shape. This is used inside the card.

Picturesque - Tulip is cut 1.00" wide. This is used on the inside sentiment mat.

Spellbinder M-Bossabilities Splendid folder is used on the white mat.

Sympathy Card - Shades of Yellow

Sadly, we need sympathy cards at times. I made this card for a dear friend who lost her Dad. Card measures approximately 4 3/4" wide x 6 1/2" cut from yellow cardstock using the Cricut. I chose to go with shades of yellow.

Cricut Cartridges:

Anna's Lace Cards and Embellishments - Daisy card is cut 19.50" wide x 11.49" high. This size also includes an envelope.

Anna's Flourish Cards and Embellishments - Yellow and white decorative mats are cut 3.75" wide. Using the Write feature in Cricut Design Space and Anna's Lovely Layered Cards, the sentiment Thinking of you is printed on the white mat using the Cricut Midnight pen. The mats are pop-dotted on the card.

Elegant Embellishments - Bird is cut 2" high and is pop-dotted on card.

Anna's Garden Cards and Embellishments - The Thinking of You sentiment is written directly on the patterned paper layer of the card. This is used inside the card. I really like the way it looks...could also be used for the front of the card! Great way to use some of those pretty patterned papers!

Yellow seam binding ribbon is from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces. Perfect finishing touch for my card! Thank you Karen for the pretty ribbons!

Folded Paper Frame Card

Today I am sharing a Folded Paper Frame card that I made using the tutorial at Split Coast Stampers. The frame starts with a 4 1/4" square of patterned paper. I chose pretty double-sided patterned papers from a K&Company pad which were left over from previous projects.  After scoring and folding, the square adds a 3D effect to the card. My cream card stock card measures 5" x 6 1/2".

 

Of course, I had to add pretty Cricut images to my card!

Cricut Cartridges:

Flower Shoppe - The flower is cut at 2", 1.75", 1.50", 1.25", and 1". After a spritz of water and partial drying, I slightly bent and curled the petals to form the flower. A gold gemstone is glued in the middle of the flower. I think the flower looks good in the frame.

Elegant Embellishments - Butterfly is cut 2" wide using 4 patterned papers.

Anna's Flourish Cards and Embellishments - Perfect Day Sentiment is printed with the Cricut Copper Pen on an inserted rectangle shape. 

Elegant Edges - Heart scallop rectangle label is cut 4.53" wide.

Anna's Lovely Layered Cards - Happy Mother's Day sentiment is written on the heart scallop rectangle label with the Cricut Copper Pen. This image is used inside the card.

I am enjoying  play time with Anna Griffin Cricut cartridges and red and white paper. This card measures 5" x 7" and is cut from white Colorbok cardstock. Two shades of red Recollections paper were used on the card.

Anna's Lace Cards and Embellishments - Eyelet Card is cut 20.50" wide x 12.21" high. The size given also includes an envelope.

Bow with Leaves Background is cut 2.84" wide x 4.25" high.

Floral Lace Border is cut 4.87" wide x 1.37" to fit inside the card.

Anna's Lovely Layered Cards  - Happy Birthday Friend sentiment that is seen on the front of card was written with the midnight pen using Cricut Design Space.

Anna's Flourish Cards and Embellishments - Special Day Sentiment is cut 4.25" wide. This sentiment is used inside the card.

Mother's Day Bouquet - Red flower is cut in 5 layers - 2.25", 2", 1.75", 1.50" and 1" wide. I spritzed the images with water, then crumpled up and let partially dry before forming the flower. It is pop-dotted on the card.

Red Crinkle Ribbon bow from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces finishes the card.

Of course, I love Anna Griffin Cricut images! I think this turned out pretty!

Happy Birthday

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Needing a birthday card, I was excited to play with a recently purchased Cricut Anna Griffin cartridge.

Cricut Cartridge:

Anna's Lovely Layered Cards - Using Cricut Design Space, Olivia Lace Banner Card is cut 21" wide x 12.26" high. This size does include the envelope. The card will measure 5" x 7" when folded. 

Using the text box, I added the Happy Birthday sentiment on the card front.

Anna's Flourish Cards & Embellishments  - Perfect Days Sentiment was used for the inside of the card.

Inside the card

While I was playing with the papers, I made a second card using the lavender paper as the more prominent color. The sentiment Just For You is also on the Anna's Lovely Layered Cards. Just by switching up the paper colors, two different cards! Now I have a second birthday card!

I really like the pretty Anna Griffin images/sentiments and the results of this card!

Botanical Card

While browsing around in Cricut Design Space, I noticed some new cards that have recently been added to the subscription. I chose one from Botanical Cards and this is my play with it! My finished card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". Double-sided patterned papers are from K&Company.

Cricut Cartridges:

Botanical Cards - Flower Card - I used only the overlay of the card. It has flower and leaves shapes that will be cut out, but I used the Contour function to eliminate those images. The overlay is cut 4.25" wide from white Colorbok cardstock.

Anna's Flourish Cards and Embellishments - Sentiment is done with the Cricut Gemstone Blue Pen using the Write feature.

Spring Cottage - Forget Me Not flowers are cut 2.12" wide x 1.34" high. Flowers are pop-dotted on the overlay.

Gypsy Wanderings - Happy Birthday is cut 3.50" wide.

Crinkled ribbon bow is added to complete the look.
