Cricut Pumpkin Pie Box

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Inspired by a couple of challenges for a pumpkin project, I searched in Cricut Design Space for a pumpkin image that I had not cut previously. I chose to go with the pumpkin pie box. Rather than solid colors, I used some pretty patterned papers from K&Company. The pumpkin print is an embossed double-sided paper. The pumpkin is cut from the reverse side of the paper.

Cricut Cartridges:
Thanksgiving Table Decor - Pie box is cut 6" wide. The pumpkin image is included. The pumpkin image has no leaf or vine. I edited a couple of images from the following cartridges to make those cuts.
Doodlecharms - Curly vine on pumpkin is cut 1" wide.
Simply Charmed - Leaf is cut .75" wide.
Holiday through the Years Iron On - In Everything Give Thanks is cut 4.25" wide. In Everything is used on one side of the box while Give Thanks is used on opposite side of box.

I added a little twine bow and some Gelly Roll pen doodling on the pumpkin. This makes a cute little treat box -- I will add some candy before giving to the recipient.

Opposite side of box!

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Happy Saturday everyone! It is time for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts! Sheri has chosen Ch. 169 - Tag You're It. She asks that we create a tag shaped project. Center Step Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I have been playing with another Center Step Card. The tutorial can be found at Split Coast Stampers. The base of the card starts with white card stock. I layered it with a patterned page from Mrs. Elizabeth Heirloom package that I have had for several years. The dotted yellow paper is leftover from a previous project.

Cricut Cartridges:
Doodlecharms - Cupcake is cut 2.5" wide x 3.25" high. I did not want the candle on the cupcake so that was trimmed off. Cupcake is pop-dotted on the doily.
Lovely Florals - Doily is cut 4.10" high from white and yellow cardstock.
Sentimentals - Tag is cut 2.50" high. Using the Cricut Design Space write feature, the words Happy Birthday are written with the Lovely Florals alphabet.

Eyelet lace, ribbon, and pearls are from my crafting stash.

Happy Birthday Frog!

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Monday was a very rainy day around my neck of the woods! Thankfully we were not in the hardest hit areas receiving 6" to 10" rain. My thoughts and prayers go out to those folks.
My Cricut machine was busy working on a birthday card for a young boy. Card measures 5" x 6 1/2" white cardstock. Patterned papers and the white papers are Colorbok. I was inspired by the current challenge at BBTB2 to play with a frog!
Cricut Cartridges:
Disney Pooh and Friends - Balloon is cut 3" high.
Doodlecharms - Birthday hat is cut .78" wide, 1.07" high. I thought the little frog needed a hat!
Gypsy Wanderings - Happy birthday is used inside and cut 4.25" wide.
Paper Doll Dress Up - Frog is cut 3" high. We have so many green frogs around my house. One night recently, I was actually frog hunting in my kitchen...thought I never would get that green jumping critter outside! This Cricut frog image seemed best suited for my little fella!
Plantin Schoolbook - White oval is cut 3.17" wide, 4.22" high.
Something to Celebrate- Celebrate Banner is cut 3.75" wide.

Cuttlebug:
Swiss Dots - Balloon
Happy Birthday - White oval mat. The white oval mat is on an Action Wobble...just a bit more fun for the birthday boy! I was unable to get a photo of the wobble on the card. Each time I tried to capture the movement, the mat would be in place again.

Just a Note -- When I searched for Frog in the Cricut Explore Image search, the frog on Paper Doll Dress Up did not show up. I noticed the frog later while looking through the PDDU cartridge.

Day 12 - Valentines

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing another Valentine card. Now this is my type of Valentines--pinks and chocolates!! Images are cut using the Cricut Explore and Design Space. The card is white cardstock and measures 5" x 6 1/2". The pretty chocolate candy patterned paper is from K&Company Cupid Speciality paper pad. I love K&Company double-sided paper. All the Valentine paper that I have been using is some that I have had for a few years and I have plenty more Valentine paper!

Cricut Cartridges:
Valentine's Sweets digital set - Box of chocolates cut 3.25"h.This is one of those images that I just had to have--knew it would work good with the paper. Have you ever bought something just to use on one certain paper!!
Elegant Edges - White and pink mats. Love the cut out hearts on this image. Mat was cut 4"h.
Doodlecharms - Heart charm. This image is found on page 85 of handbook. I cut it at 1.75"h.

I am still trying to learn new things about the Explore. For the heart charm, I used the word box, Cricut Alphabet and Cricut wine pen to write the word Love on the white heart. I think it turned out good!

To attach the heart charm, I attached memory thread to the heart, formed a heart with the thread and wrapped it around the pink gemstone. EK corner punch was used for the corner papers.

Inside of card.
Cricut Valentine's Sweets was used for Happy Valentine's Day seen inside the card. Can you see that it is four layers to this image? The chocolate candy on the white mat was part of the Valentine's Sweet box of chocolate.

I really like the way this card turned out! Hope you enjoy!

Cricut Cartridges:
Doodlecharms - Page 95 Mason jar cut 1" from the aqua paper. I cut three blackouts from the darker blue to give a chipboard effect for each jar. Jars are pop-dotted on the mat.
From My Kitchen - Page 51 Apron is cut 3". The three mats are pop-dotted on the card.
Create A Critter - Page 61 Phrase Sweet is cut .75".
Cuttlebug - Swiss dots on the white mat.
Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily - white doily

Fun Day Friday Challenge - Ch. 7 Anything Goes
The Shabby Tea Room - Ch. 174 Cherry Pie - Photo inspiration- Red, white (or cream), Aqua and twine and/or burlap

 TSTR Photo inspiration

Let's see- I have included red and white, aqua stripe paper mat under the apron, aqua mason jars, and a burlap strip. One string of the burlap is used for the bow on the button. Looking at the pretty kitchen, I was inspired to include a pretty apron. Of course, I had to add the red gingham paper for the rug!
