2017 Graduation Cards

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I was asked to make a few graduation cards. Since my time was very limited, I chose to do some simple cards for the senior guys using the school colors. Papers are Recollections and cards measure 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".

Cricut Cartridges:
Simple Everyday Cards - The red Good Luck card is cut 8.571" wide x 5.548" high.
Anna's Garden Cards & Embellishments - Sentiment is written on a 3.75" wide x 4" high white paper using a Pilot Precise V5 blue pen. This is used inside the card.

Inside

Simple Everyday Cards - The blue Best of Luck to You card is cut 8.498" wide x 5.50. That size
Thoughts and Phrases -The Little Things - Sentiment is written on a 2.927" wide x 3.25" high white paper using the same blue pen as listed above. This is used inside the card.

I hand cut a piece of paper to make a little pocket for each card. The area can be used for a gift card or cash.

The two cards for the kindergarten boys are also 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" white cardstock.
Cricut Cartridges:
Wrap It Up - Graduate is cut 4" wide x 3.95" high. I also used school colors for these two cards.
Cake Basics - Best Wishes is cut 3.75" wide x 1.712" high. This image is used inside. I do not have an available photo.
Just for fun, I added some pencil and star stickers that I have had for ages! Also I added some dash marks on the hat using the Gelly Roll pen.

My Sheri Crafts - Ch.186 Just a Chillin'

Welcome to Glenda's Cards

It is time again for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts! It is my time to choose the theme. We have been having hot weather in my area for the last few weeks, even worse, the humidity is so high.
For Ch. 186 - Just a Chillin', I asked the team to do a project with ice cream. I thought an ice cream challenge would be cool and refreshing! Also, July is National Ice Cream Month, but I think ice cream is good in any month!

I am always needing birthday cards and the ice cream theme will work good. My card measures 6 1/2 x 5" white card stock. Patterned papers are Pressed Petals Assorted Cardstock with Glitter paper pack. Solid papers are from my scrap stash.

Cricut Cartridges:
Sweet Treats - Ice Cream delight is cut 4" high.
Thoughts and Phrases - Good Times -- Happy birthday balloon is cut 2.10" high.
DMC Memory Thread is attached to the balloon to act as a string.. I also made a bow from the same thread.
Anna's Lace Cards and Embellishments - Sentiment Loving Thoughts is attached to an inserted 4.50"  x 2.25" rectangle. This is used inside the card. Cricut Midnight pen is used for the writing.

Inside of the card.

Elephant Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It has been awhile since I have played with my Cricut machine. After several days of traveling through four states, I was ready to plug in the machine and make a card! My little elephant card measures 5 1/4" x 3 5/8". Papers from the scrap stash were used.

Cricuit Cartridges:
Paisley - Elephant. I welded two of the shadow images together to make an elephant shaped card. This was cut 5.25" wide x 7.17" high. Because this is made for someone special, I used some of her favorite colors.
Thoughts and Phrases - You are my Sunshine is cut 3" high...this is used inside the card.

A little doodling with a black pen and a purple crinkle ribbon from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces finishes the look!

Valentine - Keyhole Heart Box

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing my play on a cute little treat box that I noticed in Cricut Design Space. This will work good for a girl's prize at the upcoming Valentine's party. Patterned paper is from K&Company Specialty Paper pack. Yikes, I actually cut into a 12" x 12" piece of paper for this little box.

Cricut Cartridges -
Tags, Bags, Boxes, & More2 - Keyhole Heart Box is cut 11.50" wide. Box measures 3" wide x 4" high. When the box is closed, the tabs are inserted into the keyhole opening on the heart.
Thoughts & Phrases- You are my fave - Love image is cut 2.25" wide. I thought this sentiment would be great, because that is what it is all about! I used a teal blue paper for the word love. If you notice in the photo below, paper is double-sided with a pretty multicolored design.

I added a baker's twine bow to complete the box.
