It is time again for another fun challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. Challenge 318 is Graduation. As school is almost over and graduations are taking place, many of us may need a Graduation card. We invite you to play along with us. I used Recollections and Colorbok papers to make my project.

Anna's Garden Cards & Embellishments - Dream sentiment is written on the white layer using the Cricut wine pen.
Decorate Celebrate  - Graduation cap is cut 2.245" wide x 1.025" high. This is placed on the Flourish tag.
Happy Graduation- Happy Graduation is cut 4" wide x 1.74" high. This is glued to the back of white layer.

My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 180 Shaped Cards

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Happy Saturday! Today begins a new fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts! Our talented Sheri is hosting Challenge 180 - Shaped Cards! She asked that we create a shaped card--anything but a square or rectangle shape card. For my project, I have used some of my favorite Cricut images. Patterned papers are K&Company and the solid papers are from the scrap stash.

Cricut Cartridges:
A Child's Year - Tea Party Card is cut 8.50" x 6.04" from the pretty patterned paper.
Spring Fling - Flower is cut 2.75" wide. This cartridge includes the drawing around the image. I used the Cricut Midnight pen. I really like the drawing feature on this cartridge.
Splendid Soiree - Bow Label is cut 1.00 wide.

I added a little bling by using a gold trim that was found in my stash of goodies.

Be sure to visit My Sheri Crafts to see all the pretty shaped cards made by the design team. For more information, visit the individual blogs. Now it is your turn to play along with us. Several Ooh la la awards will be given and one person will be selected to be our next guest designer. We look forward to seeing your pretty shaped cards.

Get Well Wishes

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Needing a couple of Get Well cards, I have been playing with my Cricut and some pretty Anna Griffin images. I made two cards using the same focal image on each card but with a little mix of the colors and sentiment tags. Each card measures 5" x 6 1/2".

Cricut Cartridges:
Anna's Lace Cards and Embellishments - Butterfly and Flower background is cut 4.75" using shades of purple.
Splendid Soirees -  Mandrin Tag is cut 3" wide. Using Anna's Lace Cards and the Cricut Midnight pen, the sentiment is written on the tag.
Elegant Embellishments - Sentiment tag for the following card. Anna's Lace Cards sentiment Thinking of You is also written with the Cricut Midnight pen.

2nd Card.

For the inside sentiments, I used Anna's Garden Cards and Embellishments - Warmest Wishes- on each card.

 Inside of white card.

Inside of purple card.

Sentiment tags are pop-dotted on each card. The pretty lavender crinkle ribbon is from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces! Thanks Karen for the recent win!  I added a few rhinestones on the top card.

I like the way the cards turned out, but I can not choose a favorite! Which one do you like?

Bunny Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

After making a little Cricut time, I have an Easter card to share today. Card is cut from white card stock using a Cricut card image and measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". Solid papers are from the scrap stash. Patterned papers used inside the card are DCWV Fresh Floral Stack. I think the papers do well for Spring and Easter colors!

Cricut Cartridges:
Simple Holiday Cards - Bunny card is cut 8.5" wide x 5.5" high. I really like the bunny shape cut into the egg. Of course, I added more Cricut images for a little more personalized look.
When I Was a Kid - Corner Flourish is cut 2.1" wide x 2.2" high. All four corners are included in this size.
Splendid Soiree- Bow on rabbit is cut 1.00" wide.
Holiday Cakes - Happy Easter is cut 3.5" wide. This is used inside the card.

I added two small yellow buttons in the upper corners. Twine is from a recent win from Diana at DL.ART. Thanks Diana for the pretty twine colors!

When Life Gives You Lemons

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing a double twisted easel card! The tutorial for this card can be found at SplitCoastStampers The card begins with an 8 inch square of cardstock for the foundation. The pretty patterned paper is from the Paper Studio Country Road. White paper is Colorbok textured paper. This card folds so that it will fit into a business size envelope.
I have made several double twisted easel cards before but it has been a long time. Just wanted to have fun with something different!

Cricut Cartridges:
Just Because - Glass of lemonade is cut 1.35" wide; Phrase "When life gives you lemons" is cut 4.75" wide using the white cardstock over a pink patterned paper. The phrase mat is pop-dotted on the card to hold the two side elements in place when the card is opened.
Paisley - Lemon is cut 1.75" wide.
Splendid Soirees - Doily is cut 3.25" wide. I cut two white doilies, each is layered over yellow.
When I Was a Kid - Corner flourish is cut 1.75" wide from white and layered over yellow.

Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder is used on the lemon and the lemonade for a little texture.

To complete the look, I used small pink buttons and crinkle ribbon bows. I made a small green bow from DMC Memory Thread and formed little hearts to represent "loving lemonade in the summer time"!

Close up of the two panels.

Close up of the raised sentiment.
