Fall/Harvest Blessings

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I am back with another Fall/Thanksgiving card! This card measures 5" x 6 1/2" wide cut from cream cardstock. Again, I have used some remaining papers from previous projects. Patterned papers are from K&Company.

Cricut Cartridges:
Using Insert Images on the Cricut Explore, I added the square and changed it to a 4.75" wide x 6.25" high rectangle to cut the plaid background paper.
Winter Woodland - Label is cut 5" wide x 3.25" high--this is the pumpkin paper.
Simply Scarecrow - Fall with the Leaves is cut 4.09" wide x 1.75" high.
Autumn Celebrations - Acorn is cut 2.11" wide x 2.5" high.
Classroom October-November  - Small acorn is cut .92" wide x 1.1" high.
3D Floral Home Decor - Fall leaves cut .73" wide x 1.5" high. One leaf is used inside of the card.
Thanksgiving - Harvest Blessings cut 4.25" w x 1.63" high.

Thankful Heart - Iris Folding Leaf

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing another Thanksgiving card. Just thought I had completed all my Thanksgiving cards! Since I love the Fall colors and the holiday, I just had to play with more pretty papers.
Card is 5" x 6 1/2" cream cardstock layered with a brown patterned paper from K&Company paper pad. I have not played with the Iris Folding technique in several years, so I wanted to try making a Iris folding leaf shape for my card. I used a free template found on Circle of Crafters.

Cricut Cartridges:
3D Floral Home Decor -  Using Cricut Design Space, I inserted a basic shape square and resized that to make a 4.75" wide x 6.26" high rectangle. This would be the foundation for the top layer of my card. Using Slice feature, the leaf was cut 4.42" wide x 3.88" high which made the opening in the Kraft paper. Then the fun began choosing papers and creating the Iris Folding leaf.
Thanksgiving -Thankful Heart is cut 3.50" wide.
Wild Card - Happy Thanksgiving is cut 4.25" wide. This is used inside the card.

Inside of Card!
For the finishing touch, I added a bow made with crinkle ribbon that I recently received from Karen at Little Scraps Pieces. I am really pleased with the results of the card! The Iris Folding technique uses strips of paper making this a good way to use some of my pretty scrap papers.

My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 167 Pink and Pretty

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is time again for another fun and inspirational challenge at My Sheri Crafts. Our design team sister Peachy has chosen the theme for Ch. 167 - Pretty and Pink. She asks that we create a project using the color pink in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

I started with a 5.5" x 5.5" square card cut from pink cardstock.

Cricut Cartridges:
3D Floral Home Decor - Using a Make It Now project Rose Box and Topper, I cut only the roses using pink cardstock.
Edge to Edge - The white lattice is cut 5.5" wide.
Anna's Flourish Cards and Embellishments - Sentiment "Wishing you all the best" is written on the white lattice using the write feature in Cricut Design Space.
White crinkled ribbon is added as a finishing touch. I am pleased with the way this turned out, but of course, I love pink and roses!

Be sure to visit My Sheri Crafts to view all the pretty and inspiring projects from the design team and our guest designer. For more information, visit the individual blogs. Now it is your turn to play along with us! We look forward to seeing your Pink and Pretty projects.
