Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

We are having daily rain this week making it a good time to enjoy some paper crafting! Card measures 5" x 6 1/2" and is white card stock.  Glitter Snowflake papers are from Recollections Jingle Bells. I have had this paper pad for long time and finally decided to use the pretty pink/magenta snowflakes papers. I played along with the Sketch 30 at Paper Play Sketches but failed to make my post before the deadline. I do like the sketch!

Using Basic Shapes, the rectangle is cut 3.20" wide x 3.97" high. The circle is cut 3" for the white and again at 3.15" for the blue circle.
Celebrate with Flourish - Skate is cut 2" wide x 2.28" high.
Holiday Cakes - Sentiment Let it snow is cut 2.13" wide x 1.25" high.

Cuttlebug Snowflakes folder is used on the white mat under the skates.

Cricut Birthday Cake

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Always needing birthday cards, I decided to combine two challenges to make this card. The card measures 5" x 6 1/2" and is cut from a blue card stock paper. The patterned cake/cupcake paper was left over from a previous project. Remaining papers are also from my scrap stash. Although I own many Cricut cartridges, I purchased a monthly subscription to try in Cricut Design Space. After a search for a birthday cake through numerous images, would you believe I chose a cake image that I actually own!! In fact, of all the cartridges that I used for this card, Decorate! Celebrate! is the only one that I do not own. I was happy to use Cricut images for those images depicted in the sketch.

Cricut Cartridges:
Just a Note - Birthday cake is cut 2.25" wide.
Decorate! Celebrate! - Small green banner is cut .78" wide x.85" high.
Plantin Schoolbook - Oval is cut 4.75" high.
Pretty Pennants - Pink pendant banner is cut 6" high.

Cuttlebug:
Happy Birthday folder is used on the white oval.

Challenges:
BBTB2 - Birthday Cake

My Sheri Crafts - Ch 103 Valentines

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is February already and time to work on those Valentine projects! Our challenge this week at
My Sheri Crafts will help you get started. For Challenge 103 our design team member Michelle has chosen Valentines - show some love to the ones you love. For my project I decided to try making a Valentines banner!
Cricut Cartridges:
Pretty Pendants - Banner Scallop 1 (second image on first row) is cut from Red Recollections cardstock at 5.5". Heart image is the seventh image of first row. It is cut at 5.5" from Colorbok white cardstock.
Storybook - The letters for the word LOVE are cut 1.50 from white cardstock.
Sweethearts - Page 33 - Cupid is cut 4". One cupid is cut using the flip feature.
Mother's Day Bouquet - Various flower images are cut at varying sizes and layered.

A small red heart shape brad secures the Recollections Floral Embellishments at the top of the banner to the red printed ribbon.

Be sure to visit My Sheri Crafts to see all the pretty Valentines projects by our talented design team and our guest designer. For more information about the projects, please visit the inidividual blogs and don't forget to leave a little love! Now it is your turn to play along with us! We look forward to seeing your Valentines projects! Remember several Ooh La La awards are given and one person will be chosen to be our next guest designer.

Seems I have been away for most of January and have not been able to keep up with blogging and commenting. I am glad my project was done earlier. We are having a lot of sickness in my family. My mother had surgery but  is recovering well. My husband has been ill and was hospitalized for over a week. Hopefully he will be much better soon. Thank you for your prayers!
