Beach Time

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

We are having very hot weather with more days of 100 degrees on the way! I am so thankful for my air conditioner! Inspiration for this card came from BBTB2 and its current challenge "Cool Down by the Sea". Using a search in Cricut Design Space, I chose this chair card image for my project. Papers are white Colorbok and left over pieces from other projects.

Cricut Cartridges:
Life is A Beach - Beach chair card is cut 8.50" wide, 5.9" high from the white cardstock. When folded the card measures approximately 4.25" x 6". A green patterned paper was cut for the chair. A blue sky paper was hand cut for the liner behind the opening. Image Set of 3 Sea gulls is cut 1.35" wide, 1.37" high. I used only one sea gull.
Summer Love - Beach girl is cut 2.10" wide 3.88" high.
Paper Dolls Every Day - Water is cut 5.50" wide.
Create a Friend - Words "Beach Time" is cut 2.94" wide, 1.63" high.
Pink Journey - Sandals cut .59" wide. She has already kicked off your shoes!

Challenges:
BBTB2 - Cool Down by the Sea
The Sisterhood of Crafters- Summer Heat - Colors or theme

Life is a Beach Flamingo

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I found a little time this afternoon to play with my Cricut machine. Looking through some of my neglected cartridges, I chose this flamingo card feature found on Life is a Beach. Hibicus paper is from scrap stack.

Cricut Cartridges:
Life is a Beach - The card is cut from white Colorbok card stock at 5.5". The flamingo is cut out on the card. Front of card is lined with the hibicus paper. Using the individual flamingo image from the cartridge I sized it to cover the image cut on the card. Size was 1.49"w x 2.74"h. Leaf is cut 1.09"w x 1.3"h.
Thanksgiving -  Thank you is cut 2.58"w x 2.00"h from the white cardstock.

I added some inking and a small green rhinestone for the eye. Simple card but I think it makes a great thank you card for someone who likes a flamingo!

Challenge:
Die Cuttin Divas - Ch. 211 - Zoo Awareness- animal you would find at a zoo.

Thanks for your visits and comments!

My Sheri Crafts - Challenge #67 - Vacation

Hello! Thanks for visiting today! This is an exciting day for me as I share my first project being a design team member at My Sheri Crafts! I would like to say thanks again to Sheri for giving me this great opportunity! She always has such fun challenges! This week's Challenge #67 is Vacation! Many of you may have enjoyed a fun vacation already, but I am still looking forward to my vacation! Some of us Red Hat Ladies have an upcoming cruise scheduled! This will be my first time to cruise and I am so excited! It sounds like a lot of fun! With that in mind, I made this card to celebrate the event!
Card size is 5" x 6 1/2" and is layered with a background paper that has blues, purples, and a hint of yellow. This was cut from a piece of Creative Imaginations Baby Boy paper. That is one of those "thinking outside the box" ideas!! HA
Cricut cartridge: Life is a Beach for all the cuts.
Cruise ship - 2 1/2"- page 77. Of course, I had to make it RED!!
Waves - 1 1/4" and 1 1/2" - page 77
Anchors Away - cut 2" page 76
Sun - 2 1/4" - page 44
Sea Gulls - 1 1/2" - page 79
Lots of inking, random doodling with Gelly Roll pen, Glossy Accents on the sun, and bow is a piece of cording. Papers are from my stash!

Hope you enjoy my card! Now I look forward to seeing your pretty Vacation projects at My Sheri Crafts! You have 2 weeks to enter this challenge. Remember one winner will be selected the guest designer for the next challenge!

I am happy to find an exciting new challenge at Stuck on U Sketches using die cuts. I love my Cricut and enjoy working with Cricut cartridge cuts on my projects! This week the Die Cut Challenge is "Play". You can interpret this theme any way you like. I am thinking of all the fun, play, good times, and memories that we Red Hatters will enjoy on our cruise and vacation. Of course, there will be oodles of photos to scrap!
If you enjoy using your Cricut, stop by Stuck on U Sketches and check out the challenge! You have a few hours left on this first challenge. I had seen this earlier and have almost forgot to add my photo! I will be checking out the next challenge!
