Die Cuttin' Divas - Ch. 333 Sketch

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Can you believe it is already September! Since it is the first Tuesday of the month, we are having a sketch challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. I enjoy working with sketches because I can choose the theme of the card. With Christmas fast approaching, I have a Santa card to share. Card is 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".

Cricut Cartridges:
A Quilted Christmas - Santa
Merry and Bright - Christmas tree
Anna's Christmas Cards and Embellishments - Sending Christmas cheer sentiment. Also, the sentiment used for the inside of the card.

The holly leaf is a sticker from my stash of scrapbooking days.

Visit Die Cuttin' Divas to view all the pretty themed cards made by the design team using the sketch. For information, please visit our individual blogs! We look forward to seeing how you will use the pretty sketch!

Christmas in July- Pull Out Fold Card 3

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I am back again with another Pull Out Fold Card. Why not use up more of  the left over papers from the first two cards! My paper is from The Paper Studio Yuletide Joy paper pack. These papers are 12" x 12". The tutorial for the Pull Out Fold card can be found at Mary's CARDZ TV. I also used some of the same Cricut images as used on the two previous cards.

Cricut Cartridges:
Anna's Winter Wonderland - Christmas Holly Berry is cut 2.5" wide.
Wild Card - Present is cut 1.35" wide x 3" high.
Merry and Bright - Merry Christmas is cut 2.25" wide. This image includes a frame, but I previously used the contour feature to hide the frame and saved only the words Merry Christmas in my files. Now I can adjust the size of Merry Christmas phrase to fit any project.
Teresa Collins December 25th - Snowflake border is cut 2" wide.

Friends are the best presents sentiment is from Mary's CARDZ TV Home for Christmas stamp set.

Pull out card.

I do like this style of card. As mentioned before, there are many possibilities for decorating the card. I hope you are inspired to try the Pull Out Card. I think the card will also work well with a Christmas decorating display.

Christmas in July - Pull Out Fold Card 2

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I enjoy playing with the Pull Out Fold card style and I am sharing another card today! The tutorial for this cute and fun card can be found at Mary's CARDZ TV. I added a little variation from the tutorial by adding a second layer of patterned paper at the bottom and more images. Papers are from The Paper Studio Yuletide Joy paper pad. The folded card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".

Cricut Cartridges:
Teresa Collins December 25th - Dec. 25 is cut 1.95" wide x 2.25" high. Snowflake is cut 1.50" wide.
Santa's Village - Santa is a print and cut image using Cricut Design Space. Image is cut 3.25" high. I hand cut the paper that Santa is standing on.
Merry and Bright - Merry Christmas is cut 2.75" wide. It is part of a frame which I hid using the Hide feature to leave only the words for my card.

Naughty or Nice sentiment is from CARDZ TV Home for Christmas stamp set. Thank you Mary for these pretty stamps!

My Sheri Crafts Ch. 148 - Let It Snow

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Now that the holidays are over and a new year has started, we are back with more fun challenges at My Sheri Crafts. Challenge 148 is Let It Snow! Sheri asked us to create a project that includes a snowflake. I have not seen any snowflakes in my area, but by watching the news, I see that many of you have.

I recently purchased the digital copy of Merry and Bright so I wanted to try the luminary box. I made this project using Cricut Expression and Cricut Craft Room. The box measures 4 1/4x2 7/8" and has 1 1/2' opening--just the right size for a small flameless candle. Paper is Recollection Starry Night. I added a piece of vellum behind the snowflake. I like the way this project turned out. Below is a side view of the box.

My Cricut Explore machine arrived after I completed the luminary. I just had to start playing with the Design Space so I quickly found the Nativity snowflake from When It's Cold Outside cartridge.

The image is cut at w 4.53" x h 4.67". The Explore cut it beautifully! White and patterned papers are left over from Christmas projects. I think this would make a nice ornament.

Now it is your turn to play along us. Be sure to visit My Sheri Crafts to see all the lovely projects by the design team and our guest designer. For more details, please visit the designers' blogs.
