Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I enjoy working with Anna Griffin's cartridges. My biggest decision is choosing the image I want to use next. I have so many cartridges and all the images are pretty. I have not cut this card yet so it was time to do it! This card measures approximately 5" x 7" and is cut using white Colorbok paper for the card and Recollections papers for the other colors.

Cricut Cartridges:

Anna's Lovely Layered Cards 2  - Butterfly Banner Card is cut 9.865" wide x 6.903" high. The size is for only the card. I eliminated the envelope.

We Love You A bunch is printed on the front of the card using the Cricut Midnight pen.

Anna's Sophisticated Soiree - Star label is cut 4.50" wide x 3.19" high from lavender paper and 4.25" wide x 3.01" high from the pink paper.

Anna's Lovely Layered Cards - Happy Mother's Day is printed on the pink star label with the Midnight pen. This is used inside the card.

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I wanted to try another Print and Cut image using Cricut Design Space...this is the results!

Card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and is cut from buff cardstock. I am playing along with the fun sketch at Paper Play Sketches. Patterned papers are My Mind's Eye Simply Delightful. Solid papers are from the scrap stash.

Cricut Cartridges:

Best Friends - Sunrise Pink Bird is cut 3" wide using the print and cut feature.

Bits and Pieces - Banner is cut .75" wide x 1.38" high. Smaller banner is cut .75" wide x 1.07" high.

Sophisticated Soiree - Flourish Label is cut 2.38" x 1.50".

Insert shape feature in Cricut Design Space - I cut the larger patterned paper rectangle at 4" wide x 5.25" high. The cream rectangle is cut 3 1/8" x 5". 

Decorate! Celebrate! - Happy birthday to you is cut 3.75" wide. This is used inside the card.

Cuttlebug Birds and Swirls embossing folder is used on the cream mat.

Anna Griffin Butterfly Card

Today's card is inspired by Anna Griffin Garden Butterfly Card. Anna's card can be made using the Make It Now feature on Cricut Design Space. I do not own all the images that are shown on Anna's card, so I was unable to use that feature.

Cricut Cartridges:

Anna's Garden Cards and Embellishments - Card is cut from white cardstock at 10" wide- measures 5"x7". I cut two blush pink liners-one for face of card behind the butterfly cutouts and one for inside of card. The three butterflies are cut 2.75" wide, 2.50" wide, and 2.25" wide which look larger than those on the featured card. The phrase Life Is A Journey is also on this cartridge. It is written with the midnight pen on the label.

Sophisticated Soiree - Flourish Label is cut from white cardstock at 3.76" wide and from the pink at 3.92" wide.

Butterflies and Sentiment Label are pop-dotted on the card. I added Petaloo burlap blossoms to accent the card. The pink heart formed bow is Memory Thread.

I really love the sentiments that are on Anna's Garden Cards and Embellishments. I have used the Life is a Journey sentiment on another card. This card will work well for a bridal or anniversary card.

Anna Griffin Card

My card is inspired by a beautiful Anna Griffin card featured in Cricut Design Space Make It Now. It is called Anna Griffin Garden Butterfly Card Layout. My card is cut from Colorbok Pearlescent Paper Pack. All the papers (excluding the blue under the flowers) are pearlescent, but my camera did not do justice to those papers. 

Cricut Cartridges:

Anna's Garden Cards and Embellishments-- Card is 5" x 7". I used the Make It Now feature. My Cricut had trouble cutting the butterfly that is shown with the card---kept tearing the papers. After a few attempts, I chose another butterfly from the same cartridge. Flowers and ferns are also from this cartridge.

Sophisticated Soiree - Chain Label for sentiment. Only one label is cut using the Make It Now instructions. I cut two labels using different colors-- ivory is 3.26" wide and the green is cut 3.50" w.

Words that are shown on front of the featured card are not given in the cuts. I chose to use Life is a Journey, and love is what makes that journey worthwhile. The sentiment was printed on the label using the midnight pen.

Flowers, butterfly and label are pop-dotted on card. An ivory crinkle ribbon bow is added to complete the card. My card does not look like the featured card, but I am pleased with the results. Each of us add our own personal touch!
