Happy Valentine's Day! We are back with another fun challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. In honor of Valentine's Day, Ch. 304 is Use Pink, Red, or Purple. My card measures 5 1/2 " x 6 1/2' white card stock. Papers are K&Company.

Cricut Cartridges:
Valentine's Day - Heart of Roses is cut 2.33" wide x 1.9" high. The heart is pop-dotted on card. I cut two of the hearts, the second heart is used inside the card.
Using the Insert Shape feature in Cricut Design Space, I cut the smaller hearts at 1.25" wide.
Wild Card - Be My Valentine is cut 3.75" wide. This sentiment is used inside of card.

Cuttlebug:
Anna Griffin Matelasse is used on the white mat behind the hearts. The folder is also used on the two hearts inside the card. Matelasse Border is used on the patterned paper strip below the hearts.
Swiss Dots folder is used on the hearts on the front of card. I distressed the paper a little to show the white dots.

I added a pink ribbon to side of card.

Die Cuttin' Divas - Ch. 303 Sketch

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today begins a new fun challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. It is the first challenge of the month and that means Ch. 303 is a Sketch challenge. My card is 6 1/2" x 5" cut from white cardstock. I am using pretty left over papers from a K&Company Paper Pad. Sketch follows.

Cricut Cartridges:
Valentine's Day - All you need is love is cut 4.25" wide x 2.33" high from four different papers.
Using Insert shape in Cricut Design Space, I cut a heart at 1" wide x 1.25" high from the burgundy paper. I did not record the size of the heart on top of it.
I added three of the cut out hearts to the top right side of the card.

 Inside of the card.

Cricut Wild Card - Be My Valentine is cut 4.50" wide x 3.22" high.
I added some leftover pink cut out hearts to the background mat.

Valentine - Bow Favor Box

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Happy Valentine's Day! I have been busy again making more treat boxes. The pretty double-sided patterned paper is K&Company Circus Valentine.

Cricut Cartridges:
Anna Griffin Splendid Soirees - Bow Favor Box is cut 11.50" wide x 4.65" high. When completed this box measures 2 3/4" wide x 2 7/8" high. This was cut at the largest size for a 12" Cricut mat.
I like how the bow is cut out of the box so that it stands out. I used the reverse side of the patterned paper for the bow.
Valentine's Day - Tag is cut 1.75" wide. Pen work is made with the Cricut Midnight pen.

For the sentiment I used Smile from Mary's CardzTV Mixed Messages Stamps. To attach the tag to the bow, I used DMC Memory thread for the bow. The candy is placed in a bag and tried with ribbon.
I smile when I see chocolates--how about you!

Valentine - Decorated Canning Jar

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Needing a few more Valentine's gifts, I chose to do a project using vinyl. When I saw the chalkboard look jar lid on the canning jars at The Dollar Tree, I had to purchase a few jars! What a fun project!

Cricut Cartridges:
Valentine's Day - Heart doily is cut 3" x 3" from The Paper Studio Metallic Red and Cricut White vinyl. The red vinyl is not a really deep red and may appear pink in the photos.
Spring Fling - Canning Jar Gift Tag is a Make It Now project in Cricut Design Space. I love the canning jar image. The tag will measure 4 1/2" x 2 1/4". I added some Crinkle red ribbon from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces to wrap around the jar and make the bow.

I drew a heart with teal blue chalk on the jar lid. Filled the jar with individually wrapped candies.

Photo showing more of the tag!

Valentine - Pop-Up Box Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I have seen pretty Pop-Up Box Cards and decided it was time for me to try this pretty card style. I followed the tutorial on Split Coast Stampers to make the box. Papers are from K&Company Valentine paper pads-- left over papers from previous projects. After making the box, it was fun time using my Cricut to cut the pretty Valentine images!

Cricut Cartridges:
Create a Critter 2 - Chocolate Box is cut 1.75" wide.
Disney Princess Dreams Come True - Double Hearts cut 1.50" wide.
Valentine's Day - Heart with the word Valentine written on banner is cut 2.75" wide. Valentine was written using the Write feature.
Feb 14 is cut 3" wide.
Heart of roses is cut 2.25" wide. I cut two of these - used one on each side flap.
Phrases - True Love Valentine is cut 2.25" wide.
Sweethearts - Love heart stamp is cut 1.75" wide.

The two Hearts of roses, True Love Valentine, and Feb 14 are pop-dotted on the card flaps. Some of the images inside the box area were attached to strips of acetate which allows them to move slightly when the card is opened.

Side views of the pop-up box card.

Folded card.

I am pleased with my first Pop-Up Box Card. Of course, it is pinks and hearts, two of my favorite things! I think this will be my Valentine Card!!

Valentine - Ice Cream Shake

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I am sharing another Valentine card! The card is cut 5" x 6 1/2" from blue cardstock. Yikes, I actually cut into a 12" x 12" Valentine paper pack. I have been trying to use papers from the scrap stash. When I discovered this Miss Elizabeth's Bryce & Madeline Valentine 12" x 12" paper pack in my stash, I knew it was time to cut it! This was bought at Dollar Tree many years ago. I cut the stripe paper so the birds and hearts could be part of my card.

Cricut Cartridges:
Nifty Fifties - Ice Cream Shake is cut 3" wide. The image has a small star on it, but using the contour feature, I eliminated the star. Image is pop-dotted on the card.
Tie the Knot - Small heart is cut .3" high. I added the heart to the glass.
Valentine's Day - Happy Valentine's Day sentiment is cut 5" wide and is used on inside of card.

Blue crinkle ribbon is from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces.

Valentine - Love you to the Moon

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I am back with another Valentine card. I enjoy making Valentine cards using pinks! This card measures 5" x 6 1/2" white cardstock. The pretty patterned K&Company Valentine papers are left over from previous projects. You may remember seeing some of these papers before.

Cricut Cartridges:
Valentine's Day - Love you to the moon and back is cut 3.25" wide. It is pop-dotted on the card. This is one of my family favorite sayings--just had to include it on a card!
Holiday Cakes- Happy Valentine's Day is cut 3.75". This is the Cricut Valentine sentiment that I use most often. This image is used inside the card.

Crinkled ribbon bow is from Little Scrap Pieces. Thanks Karen--love this pink ribbon!
I hand cut the little hearts out of the paper and added them on the right side.

My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 174 Be My Valentine

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Yay! It is Saturday and that means it is time for a new and fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts! This week our design team sister Sandy is the hostess for Ch. 174 Be My Valentine. We are to use the colors, pink, white, or red! You may know by now, that I love pink so this challenge is perfect for me!

My project begins with a reversible paper of two pretty shades of pink from a Keepsake Essentials 12" x 12" Paper Pack. Guess I held on to it long enough!!

Cricut Cartridges:
Valentine's Day - Dear to my Heart card is cut 21.46" wide x 8.58" high. This image also includes an envelope. My folded card measures approximately 3.75" x 5.50". Just looking at the card in Cricut Design Space before it is loaded into the project page, I did not see all the pretty pen work on the heart and edges of the card. I thought Wow when the card actually loaded.
Sweetheart - Heart Petal Flowers are cut 1" wide and four at 1.25" wide. I cut these flowers from the reversed side of the paper for a little more interest.
Winter Frolic - Swirls are cut 3.50" wide without the shadow image.

Pink Crinkle Ribbon is from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces. Love this pink!

Photo of card opened out.

Card is only two shades of pink but my camera did not do well with the photographs.

 Closed card and envelope.

Now it is your turn to play along with us! Visit My Sheri Crafts to see all the pretty pink, white, and red projects. For more information on the projects, please visit the individual blogs!
We look forward to seeing your projects!
