#1 Dad Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing a Father's Day card made for my grandsons to give their dad. He is actively involved with all the sports that the boys participate in. I chose to make a baseball card since the boys are keeping the parents running to games right now!
Card measures 5" x 7" white cardstock. I layered the top with a star patterned paper that was in a Paper Studio Play Ball page kit. Baseball patterned paper and the solid papers are from my scrap stash.

Cricut Cartridges:
A Child's Year - Boy/Dad Silhoutte is cut 1.64" wide, 2.14" high from white and black paper.
Life's A Party - Baseball cut 1.00" wide. I cut 3- one to represent each son.
Phrases - #1 Dad is cut 2.75" wide.
Plantin Schoolbook - Oval mat is cut 2.25" wide.
Something to Celebrate - Banner is cut 4.39" wide, 1.52" high.
Wild Card - Happy Father's Day is cut 4.50" wide. It is used inside the card.

Happy Birthday Frog!

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Monday was a very rainy day around my neck of the woods! Thankfully we were not in the hardest hit areas receiving 6" to 10" rain. My thoughts and prayers go out to those folks.
My Cricut machine was busy working on a birthday card for a young boy. Card measures 5" x 6 1/2" white cardstock. Patterned papers and the white papers are Colorbok. I was inspired by the current challenge at BBTB2 to play with a frog!
Cricut Cartridges:
Disney Pooh and Friends - Balloon is cut 3" high.
Doodlecharms - Birthday hat is cut .78" wide, 1.07" high. I thought the little frog needed a hat!
Gypsy Wanderings - Happy birthday is used inside and cut 4.25" wide.
Paper Doll Dress Up - Frog is cut 3" high. We have so many green frogs around my house. One night recently, I was actually frog hunting in my kitchen...thought I never would get that green jumping critter outside! This Cricut frog image seemed best suited for my little fella!
Plantin Schoolbook - White oval is cut 3.17" wide, 4.22" high.
Something to Celebrate- Celebrate Banner is cut 3.75" wide.

Cuttlebug:
Swiss Dots - Balloon
Happy Birthday - White oval mat. The white oval mat is on an Action Wobble...just a bit more fun for the birthday boy! I was unable to get a photo of the wobble on the card. Each time I tried to capture the movement, the mat would be in place again.

Just a Note -- When I searched for Frog in the Cricut Explore Image search, the frog on Paper Doll Dress Up did not show up. I noticed the frog later while looking through the PDDU cartridge.

Birthday Cards

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing birthday cards made with the Cricut. I used K&Company double-sided papers for the above shaped card.
Cricut Cartridges:
Something to Celebrate - Card base is cut 8.5" wide.
Phrases- make a Wish is cut 3" wide. I am pleased with how well the Explore cuts these phrases at smaller sizes.
Tags, Bags, Boxes, More 2 - Happy Birthday with cake is cut at 3.50" wide. This is used inside of card.
I used pink Stickles inside the flower and a Gelly roll pen for the dashes around the sides of card.

Inside of card.

The second card is white cardstock and measures 5" x 6 1/2". Patterned papers are from DCWV Fresh Floral Stack. Solid papers are from my stash.

Cricut Cartridges:
Disney Pooh & Friends - Daisy Frame is cut 4.75" wide. I had no idea this cut was on that cartridge. Using the Explore and being able to see my purchased images brings to my attention there are so many images that I have never cut!
Wild Card - Happy Birthday is cut 2.25" high.
Birthday Bash - Have a Banner Year is cut 5"wide.
