Red and White Valentine

I am posting a Red and white Valentine card that I made. Card measures 5" x 6 1/2" and is cut from white card stock. The red heart paper is from K&Company Specialty Paper pad. The red hearts have a shiny foil look. White with red hearts paper is from the Paper Studio.

Cricut Cartridges:
Using Cricut Design Space and Insert Shape feature, I inserted the square shape and changed it to a rectangle for the mat on the card. Next I inserted the heart shape and sliced the heart from the mat. I added a square of the white with red hearts paper behind the heart.
Classroom Feb -Mar  - Letter is cut 4.50" wide x 2.12" high.
Haley Font - I love you is written with the Cricut Midnight pen on the letter shape.
I hand cut three hearts from the scrap paper and placed them on the 2 small hearts and and one above the word love.
Holiday Cakes - Happy Valentine's Day is cut 3/25" wide x 2.12" high. This is used inside the card.

Cricut Imagine Birthday Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

With all the pretty available Cricut images, I decided to use one of the Print and Cut images for this card. I never bought the Imagine machine and I am happy the images are available in Cricut Design Space. My card measures 5 1/2" x 4". 

Cricut Cartridges:

Imagine More - Rooster and chick is cut 3" high. This image used the print and cut feature. I like the pretty patterned paper look.

Songbird - Spring chicken is cut 2.65" wide x 1.04" high.

Ribbons and Rosettes - Grass Border is cut 5.25" wide x .47" high.

Classroom Feb-March - Happy birthday with balloons is cut 4.25" wide. This sentiment is used inside the card.

It is a simple card but I think it will work fine for the birthday lady who love chickens!

Happy Leprechaun

It seems I was just working on Christmas cards and now I am playing along with St. Patrick's Day/Green challenges. Then, both Spring and Easter will be in the month of March. I am so ready for Spring! It has been beautiful days this week and I should be working more in my yard, but guess who has been playing with the Cricut!

Card is 5" x 6/12 inches white cardstock. Striped paper is My Mind's Eye Simply Delightful and solid papers are from the scrap stash.

Cricut Cartridges:

St. Patrick's Day - Leprechaun is cut 2.5" wide. This image has many little pieces. Leprechaun is attached to a Wobble spring for a little fun movement.

Basic Shapes - White circle is cut 3.5" and green circle is cut 3.65". Cuttlebug Diamond in the Rough is used on the white circle.

Classroom February and March - Shamrock is cut .75" wide from two shades of green paper. I cut three shamrocks and added a small green rhinestone in each.

Sentiment "Get your HAPPY on" is from Mary at CARDZ TV. Thank you so much Mary for my recent win of your lovely stamps! I thought this would be perfect for my happy leprechaun!

Crinkle ribbon bow is from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces. Thank you so much for the pretty ribbons Karen!

It is a Frog!

Hope you enjoyed the extra day this year! Yesterday was a beautiful day in my neighborhood. I took advantage of it by working in my yard. I also made time to play with my Cricut! After viewing several challenges relating to Leap Day/ Frogs, I thought a frog image would be good for an upcoming boy's birthday card.

Card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and is cut from Kraft cardstock. Papers are from My Mind's Eye Simply Delightful 12"x12" paper pad.

Cricut Cartridges:

Camping Critters - Frog Catching Butterfly is cut 2.75" wide. I am sure the little frog is Leaping a lot trying to catch that butterfly!

Classroom Feb and March - Happy Birthday is cut 3.75" wide. The sentiment is used inside the card!

I will be adding an extra frog surprise for the recipient!

It is a corner bookmark that I cut using the Cricut Page Pal Frog image. It is cut 4.75" wide. I used the back side of the above card to take the photo of my cute little book mark. Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder is used for added dimension. Love those little glasses!

Day 1 Valentine's Day Cards

During the first two weeks of using my Cricut Explore, I chose to work on Valentine images which were free for my use during those two weeks. Today I will start sharing Valentine cards. This card is made with Cricut Valentine's Day Cards 11. Simple cards, but I love the cut out images. The card measures 6 1/2"x 5" and is cut from Colorbok white textured paper. Patterned paper liner is Paper Studio Country Road. I think it sets off the image as if the couple are standing in front of a wall.

With access to so many pretty images, it was hard to choose which ones to actually cut. I appreciated the free access! What a great opportunity to use image cuts that I do not own. I may not have looked at Holiday Cakes and Classroom cartridges for Valentine Day images, but I like the pretty results!
