School Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I am playing along with a few challenges today. It was fun checking all the available Back to School images in Cricut Access and then choosing some images that I have not used before. Card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". Papers are from my stash.

Cricut Cartridges:
Wall Decor and More - 123 Card is cut 5.50" x 8.50" from the blue cardstock. First try with this cartridge.
Chore Chart - Homework is cut 5.25" wide x 4" high from the paper with the lines. That image includes the book, pencil and white background. Also, first time using this cartridge.
Create A Friend - Back to School is cut 2.173" wide x 1.97" high and layered on the book.
Kate's ABC's - ABC flower is cut 1.317" wide x .744" high.

As mentioned, this is my first try cutting the card. It is folded at the score line which lets the numbers stand up. I cut two of the inside liners for the card from the yellow. The second one is placed on the back side of card to cover the area where the numbers were cut out. Looks ok to me!

My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 171 Christmas Spirit

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today begins a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts which will be our last challenge for this year! Challenge 171 is Christmas Spirit. Our design team sister Sandy asked us to create old fashion/vintage Christmas cards or projects.

My card is 5" x 6 1/2" cream cardstock. Patterned papers are from the Paper Studio Yuletide Joy paper pack. Solid papers are from the scrap stash.

Cricut Cartridges:
Santa's Village - Santa in chair is cut 3.5" wide. This is a print and cut image. I never bought a Cricut Imagine machine, but I love the vintage look images on this cartridge. So glad it is available in Cricut Design Space subscription.
Create a Friend - The word Santa's is taken from the phrase Santa's Workshop and cut at 2.25" wide. I added a text box and used letters from Cricut Font and Basic Shape for the word List - cut 1.75" wide.
Christmas Kitsch - ho ho ho are taken from the Ho Ho Ho card and cut 3" wide. This gives the three layers of colors. Merry Christmas is cut 4.50" wide. This sentiment is used on inside of the card.

A green crinkle ribbon bow from Little Scrap Pieces adds the finishing touch!

School Days Easel Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I am combining some Back to School challenges using a sketch challenge! The patterned background paper is from Pressed Petals School Days. I have had this paper pack for a few years. Solid papers are from the scrap stash.

Cricut Cartridges:
Elegant Edges - Using the base Scallop Doily Label image, I welded two labels together to make the card foundation for an easel card. The card was cut in white. Using the single image, I cut one from the patterned School Days paper and one from blue cardstock. The second patterned paper layer was cut using the the top layer image which makes the hole openings. It is layered over the blue cardstock.
Recess - Girl at desk is cut 2" high. Crayon border is also cut from this cartridge.
Create A Friend - School Days is cut 2.75" wide.

Cuttlebug Folders:
Swiss Dots on the white mat and Script on the green mat.
White and green mats hand cut. School Days mat is pop-dotted on card for the easel stop.

Folded Card

FCCB - Ch. 259 Back to School (school related or teachers)

Back to School

 Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

School has started in our area. Where did the summer go? I have been playing with a school theme card. Card measures 6" x 6" and is cut from white Colorbok cardstock. The background paper is from a Mary E. Co. paper pack which I have had for a couple of years. A, B, C and 1, 2, 3 are printed on the border of the paper with the apples. I am not sure if you can see that very well..my camera was misbehaving!

Cricut Cartridges:
3 Birds on Parade - School Days is cut 2.84" wide 1.27" high.
Create a Friend - #1 teacher is cut 3.50" wide.
Walk in My Garden - Sunflowers. This cut is the sunflower on the stem but I cut off the stem. This is one of the earlier cartridges that I bought.
Plantin Schoolbook - Using the Text Box, 1,2,3 and A, B, C were cut .50" high.

Sunflowers are pop-dotted on the card. A piece of  measure tape trim was used for the bow.

Beach Time

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

We are having very hot weather with more days of 100 degrees on the way! I am so thankful for my air conditioner! Inspiration for this card came from BBTB2 and its current challenge "Cool Down by the Sea". Using a search in Cricut Design Space, I chose this chair card image for my project. Papers are white Colorbok and left over pieces from other projects.

Cricut Cartridges:
Life is A Beach - Beach chair card is cut 8.50" wide, 5.9" high from the white cardstock. When folded the card measures approximately 4.25" x 6". A green patterned paper was cut for the chair. A blue sky paper was hand cut for the liner behind the opening. Image Set of 3 Sea gulls is cut 1.35" wide, 1.37" high. I used only one sea gull.
Summer Love - Beach girl is cut 2.10" wide 3.88" high.
Paper Dolls Every Day - Water is cut 5.50" wide.
Create a Friend - Words "Beach Time" is cut 2.94" wide, 1.63" high.
Pink Journey - Sandals cut .59" wide. She has already kicked off your shoes!

Challenges:
BBTB2 - Cool Down by the Sea
The Sisterhood of Crafters- Summer Heat - Colors or theme
