Die Cuttin' Divas - Ch. 324 Sketch

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Happy 4th of July to you! Hope you are having a great day!

Today begins another fun challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas! First Tuesday of the month and that means Ch. 324 is a Sketch challenge. I chose to use the pretty sketch for a Patriotic card. Card measures 6 1/2" wide x 5" high and is cut from white cardstock. Patterned paper is leftover from a previous project.

Cricut Cartridges:
I cut the layers for my card using Insert Shapes in Cricut Design Space.
Red layer is cut 6.25" wide x 4.75" high. Two white layers are each cut 2.75" wide x 4.50" high. Two patterned paper layers are each cut 2.50" wide x 4.25" high.
Independence Day - Hat is cut 3.25" wide x 3.159" high.
Holidays Through the Years Iron On - Using contour feature, the stars on the image were deleted, leaving only the word Freedom. Freedom was cut 1.932" wide x .444" high.
Banners - Banner is cut 3.266" wide x .754" high.
Inside the card:
Insert Shapes - Blue layer is cut 6.25" wide x 4.75" high. White layer is cut 4.25" wide x 4" high.
Cake Basics - Happy is cut 2.964" wide x 1.19" high
Independence Day - 4th of July is cut 2.521" wide x 2.547" high.

Cuttlebug Stars embossing folder is used on the hat. Stars are the cut outs from the hat band. Hat and Banner are pop-dotted on card. A little Colorbox blue inking adds the finishing touch.

First Heart Flip Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Happy Sunday! Hope your holiday weekend is going great!

I enjoy working with Anna Griffin Cricut cartridges! I missed the first HSN chance on purchasing the Anna Griffin Fantastic Flip Cards cartridge but recently was able to purchase through Cricut. This is a digital cartridge with 10 pretty flip style cards. Anna's print and cut floral images and wonderful sentiments are gorgeous! The Cricut makes it so easy! Now choosing images and papers can be quite the task!

Cricut Cartridges:
Anna Griffin Fantastic Flip Cards  - Heart flip card is cut 11.44" wide x 7.014" high. This is the card size without the included envelope image.
Double flower is cut 3" wide x 2.614" high. I cut two of these sizes with one image on flip to be stacked. Pop-dots are placed in between the two images.
Single flower is cut 2.25" wide for the larger one on the lower right.Top flower is cut 1.95" wide x 1.741" high.
Smaller flower is cut 1.25" wide x 1.248" high. This flower is used inside the card.
Corner is cut 1.049" wide x 1.375" high.
Sentiment Hope Your Day Is Special is written with the Cricut Midnight pen on an inserted 2.417" wide x 3.528" high rectangle shape.
Sentiment To Say Hello is printed on the Pink heart.

Front of folded card.
Love how this card turned out! I plan to do a series with each of the ten card styles. Just had to cut the Heart out first!

Die Cuttin' Divas - Ch. 323 Wedding or Anniversary

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is time for another fun challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas! Ch. 323 is Wedding or Anniversary. I chose to make an anniversary card for my neighbors.

Cricut Cartridges:
Anna's Lovely Layered Cards 2 - Floral Banner Card is cut 8.465" wide x 5.4" high. This size does not include the envelope that comes with the image. The sentiment On Your Special Day is from the same cartridge. It is written with the Cricut Jade pen. I like the way these cards turn out by using several layers of solid colored papers.
Inside the card:
Anna's Garden Cards & Embellishments - Using Insert Shapes in Cricut Design Space, the anniversary sentiment is written on a 3.75" x 3" white rectangle. The jade mat is cut 4" x 3 1/4".

Die Cuttin' Divas - Ch. 322 Camping Fun with Woodland Critters

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is time again for another fun challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas! Ch 322 is all about Camping Fun with Woodland Critters. I have not made a side step card in quite some time. I thought this card style would be a good way to display several woodland images. A tutorial for the step card card can be found at SplitCoast Stampers. The fun thing about these cards is choosing all the images you want to display. When card is folded, it measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". Papers are from my scrap stash.

Cricut Cartridge: Campin' Critters
Forest is cut 3.052" wide x 2.52" high.
Moose Hiking is cut 1.815" wide x 3.255" high.
Squirrel Reading is cut 2.75" wide x 2.536" high.
The Great Outdoors Card is cut 2.837" wide x 1.463" high. This size does not include the envelope that is available with the image.
Sun Trumpet is cut 1.252" wide x .911" high.
This Way sign is cut 2.153" wide x .483" high.

Can you believe I only used one Cricut cartridge for all the images. This cartridge has really cute images!

I added twine from Diana at DL.ART. Thanks Diana for the pretty twines.
Three brads were added on the right side of card.
