Happy Birthday

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!
Needing a birthday card for a friend, I chose to play with my newest Cricut cartridge. Card is 5" x 7" cut from Recollections purple cardstock. Patterned papers are from Anna Griffin Amelie pad.

I have this ongoing debate about purchasing a Cricut Maker. Whenever I saw the Anna Griffin rose Maker on HSN, I thought now is the time to buy. However after adding it to the shopping cart several times, I decided against the purchase. I am still using the Cricut Explore and it works fine for me on projects that I do. Just to say that I did shop, I purchased the new Anna's Scoring Wheel Tricks cartridge which was designed for the Maker. This is my first card using one of the image, but my Explore did good enough for me on the scoring. Maybe one day, I will purchase the Maker! HA!

This card design can be found in the Anna Griffin category in Cricut Design Space. I customized the design to suit my needs.

Cricut Cartridges:
Anna's Scoring Wheel Tricks -- Drapery Fold
Anna's Elegant Embellishments - Flourish border is cut 7" wide x 1" high from the solid lavender paper.
Anna's Print and Cut Library Vol. 1 - Two large roses on the front. Smaller roses used inside the card.
Anna's Fantastic FlipCards - Butterfly cut 1".
Inside card:
Anna's Summer Soirees - BBQ Label is cut 5.5" wide from the purple patterned paper. The white label is cut 5.25" wide from the white paper.
Anna's Lace Cards and Embellishments - Sentiment "With Loving Thoughts" is written with the Cricut Lavender pen on the white label.

Inside the card!

Cuttlebug Matelasse folder is used on the Purple patterned paper on front of card. The Matelasse Border is used on the light purple strip on front of card.
Happy Birthday sentiment circle is from an Anna Griffin cardmaking kit.
Lots of pop-dots used on front.

I am pleased with the results of the card! Hope you enjoy!

Another Christmas Card in July

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing another Christmas Card in July. It always helps me to get an early start on making my Christmas cards. You know it is only 5 months until Christmas!! Where has this year gone!

Papers are Colorbok white, Recollections shades of blue, and patterned paper is from DCWV Four Seasons paper pad. Choosing paper takes awhile for me, but I am well pleased with the colors and papers on this card.

Card is Dreaming Tree Silent Night Bendi Card. For more interest, I chose to add glitter snowflakes to the white paper. The snowflake svg is from Dreaming Tree Snowflake Tag. I cut 4 differents sizes of snowflakes and glued them on at random.

Hope you enjoy! Thanks for your visits and comments!

Ode to Joy Christmas Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Hot July is a good month to stay in my craft room and work on more Christmas projects! There are several projects that I want to do, but I have problem choosing which one to make first!

Dreaming Tree SVG - Ode to Joy card. The finished size of this card measures 5.7" high x 6.9" wide x 1.5" depth. I have had this file for awhile. I am glad that I chose it because I really like the results! I enjoy working with Dreaming Tree 3D SVG files. Always beautiful projects!

Papers include Recollections - red, Colorbok - white, Craft Smith Embossed - green tree. Patterned papers are from scrap sash. The star is cut from Cricut Gold Foil Poster Board. I could not find anything in 25 Christmas Pads that I wanted to use behind the windows. As a crafter, I make do with what I can find. The two glittered panels were cut from an older Christmas card. Perfect! Glad I saved that one! HA

Photo to show layers and depth of card.

Cuttlebug Embossing Folders:
Swiss Dots folder on the front red paper.
Script folder on the Green package.

I added Recollections flowers on the white garland, then added a Recollection pearl to each flower. Pearls are added to the gift packages. Gold Stickles added to holly berrries.

Hope you enjoy! Thanks for your visits and comments!

Bow Basket

 Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I have seen so many pretty versions of this 3D basket. With Christmas still on my mind, I chose to make a Christmas themed basket. Perfect size for candy, cookies, or small gifts.

The Bow Basket is part of Dreaming Tree SVG Give a Gift Bundle that I purchased recently. I knew when I saw the basket, it would be my first project to do from the set. Finished size measures 3" H x 7" W x 3.5"D. I used the Paper Studio Yuletide Joy Paper pad. Love mixing the pretty patterned and plaid papers together.

Cuttlebug:
Anna Griffin Regal Braid  embossing folder on the red patterned paper on sides of the basket. I used the border folder from the same set to emboss the handle.

Paper Studio Spare Parts Brads - The two brads have Christmas trees on then.

Side view of basket.

I enjoyed making this basket! With a change of papers, the basket can be used for many occasions. Thanks for your views and comments!
