Flaunt It Fridays - Simply Charmed

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great week! I am glad it is Friday! That means it is time for another fun challenge at Flaunt It Fridays! This week we are using Cricut Simply Charmed cartridge for Fish 2 (shift button) on page 41.  My card is  5 x 6 1/2 and is layered with a Recollections striped paper. The fish and pole are cut at 3 inches. I used the words that are also on page 41, thinking it would be a cute anniversary card. "Caught me" is cut at 3/4 inch. Using Create A Critter, I cut the water that is on page 44 at 1 3/4 inches. The white mat is embossed with the Polka Dots folder. Lots of inking and the card is finished!

Check out the amazing projects by the design team at Flaunt It Fridays for inspiration. We invite you to Flaunt the fish cut with us! Remember if you do not have this cartridge, you can use one with a similar image. Our monthly grand prize is Joy's Life "Lots of Pun" stamp set. Wow! I would like that prize! We look forward to seeing your paper projects--card, layout, altered item, etc. You have until midnight Thursday to submit your project.
Hope you enjoy my card!

Paper Playtime Challenge 43 - Weather theme

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog! Today we are having another fun challenge at Paper Playtime with Challenge 43-Weather theme. Use a rainbow, clouds, sun, rain, or anything else pertaining to the weather on your project.
For my card, I wanted a bright Spring card with a shining sun! I also wanted to make this as a birthday card for my friend's daughter.
Card is 5 x 6 1/2 and layered with a piece of blue/white designer paper.

Cricut cartridges:
Create A Critter- Sun on page 52 cut 2 inches, Flowers on page 69 cut at 2 1/4 inches (one cut using flip feature), Poodle on page 36 cut 3 inches, and Happy Birthday on page 27 cut 1 3/4 inches.
Paper Doll Dress Up - Grass on page 78 cut at 3/4 inches. I trimmed a small bit off so grass could fit between the flowers.
Cuttlebug: Divine Swirls and Swiss Dots folders
Martha Stewart inks and Gelly Roll pen doodling complete the look.

Be sure to check out the amazing projects by the design team. You can go to each of the blogs from Paper Playtime. We are happy to have Joy's Life as the sponsor this challenge. The prize is Joy's Lots of Pun Stamps (set of 23). We look forward to seeing your paper projects. You have until midnight CST Saturday April 23 to enter your project.
