Thinking of You!

I am playing along with RAQ's Card Challenge on the Cricut Messageboard this week. It has been awhile since I have been able to do so and I am enjoying these pretty sketches by Raquel. Card size is 5 X 6 1/2 inches. Using Sketch 1 and needing a birthday card, this is my results!
Cricut Cartridges:
Lacy Labels - Thinking of you and all four cuts for this design. This is the third key on 2nd row and the cut is 2 1/4 inches. Also for the inside, the label is cut at 3 1/4 inches using the first key on the third row.
Wild Card - Happy Birthday cut 6 3/4 inches.
Martha Stewart Doily Lace Trim, gemstones, corner cuts, and inking complete the look.

Hope you enjoy!

Thank You Card

This card is using Sketch 3 of  RAQ's Card Challenge on the Cricut Messageboard this week. I am using the same papers as will be on a birthday card. Two cards--two looks!  I am pleased with the results of the Thank You card.

Inside of card!

Cricut cartridges:
Lacy Labels - "Thanks" key for all the cuts..this is the 1st key on Row 3. The cuts were at 3 inches. However, I wanted the word Thanks to be a bit smaller in width so it is cut at 2 3/4 inches. Cut at 3 inches, the word extended onto the purple mat.
Wild Card - for the inside phrase "How Thoughtful" - cut 7 1/2 inches.
Cuttlebug Polka Dots embossing folder
Martha Stewart Topiary Edge Punch and inking

Hope the recipient will enjoy the card!

Love with Hugs & Kisses

It is time to make a few Valentine's Day cards. For this card I used Sketch 3 of RAQ's Card Sketch Challenges 01/11/11- 01/18/11 on the Cricut Messageboard. Carolyn designed and shared these sketches. Great sketches and Thank You Carolyn! My card is an unusual size for me, but I was inspired by a pack of Recollections No. 10 red envelopes that was an after Christmas clearance purchase. Why not use the envelopes for Valentines! I cut a piece of red cardstock at 8 X 9 1/4 inches and folded in half to make a 4 X 9 1/4 inches card to fit the envelope.
My pretty designer paper is K&Company--I love this Valentine pack collection.
The scroll cuts are the accent/frame feature on page 55 of Cricut Storybook cartridge. I cut the accent/frame and also the blackout feature at 3 1/2 inches. The word Love and shadow are cut at 1 1/2 inches page 34 from Sweethearts cartridge. Lots of Martha Stewart inking!

On the inside of the card, I used Wild Card cartridge. The cut of hearts is the icon feature cut at 7 inches and Hugs & Kisses is the Phrase feature cut at 8 inches. Both cuts are on page 67. White paper is a metallic shimmer from Recollections Winter.
Now I have one Valentine card! I think it is pretty! Let me know what you think!
Hope you enjoy!

Gold, Silver and White

Using sketch 1 of RAQ'S Sketch Challenge 12/29/10-01/04/11 and also the ad colors for Ad Inspiration Challenge #90 on the Cricut Messageboard, this is what I came up with. The ad color challenge is to use gold, silver, and white. I thought of a Martha Stewart paper pad which I have had for a long time. The double-sided papers in the pack feature the colors gold, silver, and white. How lucky is that!! I cut the flower from Cricut Paisley using the button feature on page 38. Sizes are 1 1/2, 1 1/4 and 3/4 inches. Used gold Stickles in center of flower. I did not add a sentiment at this time, but I think the card can be used for several occasions. A sentiment can be added later!
Enjoy!

Welcome to the Strawberry Patch

'
Good morning! Welcome to my new followers! I enjoyed playing with the sketches at RAQ'S 12/29/2010-01/04/2011 Sketch Challenge. The card is 6 1/2 X 5 inches based on sketch 2. I used Home Accents for the welcome sign. I have had the DCWV Berry Street Farmer's Market stack for over a year. Looking at the strawberry paper, I thought it will be perfect for my MIL's kitchen which is decorated in a strawberry theme. I am sure this will be on display if I can find an empty spot!!
Enjoy!

Thank you Larelyn

Welcome to my new followers! Thank each of you for taking time to visit me today!

Recently I was fortunate to be chosen winner of Larelyn's blog candy at Handmade From My Heart.
This card is my "Thank You" to Larelyn!! She is very creative and has beautiful cards on her blog. I enjoy seeing all her work! Visit her blog for great inspiration!

Card is 6 1/2 X 5  white cardstock.
Using sketch 1 from RAQ'S Card Challenge 11-03 to 11-09, I chose these pretty K&Company papers to make my card. Rather than placing the patterned paper vertical as Sketch 1, I rotated the papers horizontally. I did not add a lot of embellishments - wanted the pretty papers to be seen!

Cricut Cartridges:
Storybook - Robin page 31 regular and shadow cuts at 2 inches. I used a pretty light blue paper for the bird.
Scallop oval page 49 is cut 4 inches.
Sentimentals -- Thank You page 79 is cut 1 1/4 inches.

Martha Stewart - fern punch and inks
Recollections gemstones

Larelyn, hope you enjoy the card! If you will email me your snail mail address, I will get the card in the mail to you. Again Thank You for your kindness!!

Another Fall Card

Hope you are having a great day!
We are now having some Autumn temperatures after so much hot weather. Guess that is why I decided to do another Fall theme card. I used one of the sketches that Carolyn designed for RAQ's Card Challenge. I previously made a card using the same stripe paper, but having an extra sheet, I thought it would do  good for the sketch layout!

Cricut cartridges:
Cricut Lite Lovely Floral - Doily cut 3 1/4; Used the font for the words..each letter cut 1 inch. This is my first time to use the font feature and I really like it.
Stretch Your Imagination - Leaf cut on silhouette and blackout
Wild Card - Sentiment inside "a little something for you" cut at 8 1/4 inch,  leaf cut at 2 3/4 and again 3 1/4

Corner punch, Martha Stewart ink
Paper:  Bazzill, Recollection, K&Company

This card is made for a friend as a Just Because/Thank You card. Hope she will enjoy it!

To add dimension, the small cut background papers were run through the cuttlebug using the Diamonds in the Rough folder. Pop dots were used and MS ink.
