My Sheri Crafts Ch. 84 April Showers Bring May Flowers to Mom

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Yay! It is Saturday and time for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts! Challenge 84 is April Showers Bring May Flowers to Mom! Time to celebrate those special ladies in our lives! We are asked to create a Mother's Day card/project and add flowers!

My card is 5"x 7" white cardstock. Designer papers are K&Company Sweet Nectar Speciality Paper. I was inspired by a sketch from PageMaps June 2008.

Cricut cartridges:
Flower Shoppe - Page 17. The flower is called sunflower but I thought it would accent the flower in top left corner of the paper. I used image 1, 2, and 4 each cut at 3". Page 22 -- Mum leaf cut 1.5". I used a water spritz and crunched the flower cuts to make the flower.
Florals Embellished - Page 51 - Phrase Mom cut at 1".

Other supplies include Offray yellow ribbon, Recollections gemstone, and inking.

Be sure to stop by My Sheri Crafts and see all the gorgeous projects for Moms that our guest designer and talented design team have created for your inspiration. We appreciate your visits and comments at our individual blogs! Now it is your turn to make a Mother's Day project--remember to add flowers! Several Ooh La La awards are given and one winner will be chosen to be a guest designer at My Sheri Crafts! It could be you but you must join in the challenge!
Thanks for your visits and comments!

Best Wishes

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It has been awhile since I have posted but I will be back on Saturday with a new project for My Sheri Crafts. Be sure to visit tomorrow and play along with us!

Meanwhile, I am working with the new blogger interface---yes--just when I got used to the old one!!
I discovered a card post in draft that I had never posted when I first started my blog so I am sharing  with you today to see how things work out!

This is a card that was previously posted on the Cricut Messageboard using one of the sketches from RAQ'S Card Challenge 7/7 - 7/13 (I think 2010) and the colors of the Ad Color Challenge that week.

Card is 6 1/2 X 5. The background paper is a paper that I had a long time, and could not make myself cut it. But now that the card is completed, I am glad that I finally used the paper.

Cricut cartridges:
Cuttin' Up - Best Wishes cut 2 inches
Storybook - G Accent/Blackout for the background behind the cake, cut 2 1/2 inches; Butterfly (oops, did not record size)

Cuttlebug - Swiss Dots on the sentiment. Cake is from the Birthday folder set.
Martha Stewart - Doily Lace trim. Used a corner punch to make the corner accent.
Recollections - gemstones

Thanks for your visit!

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing a card made for a few challenges. The 5" x 7" card is cut from white Colorbok cardstock. I enjoy working with this pretty patterned K&Company Watercolor Boquet Die-Cut Mat Pad. The die-cut mat is 4.75" x 6.75" and I thought it would be perfect for my card.
Cricut Cartridge:
Paisley - Page 48. Using the main image and the image on shift, the umbrella is cut 3". I chose not to use all the layers because I wanted a pretty floral umbrella.
Flower Shoppe - Page 13 - Flower. I used the scallop 1, 2, and 4 images and it was cut at 1.875 in Cricut Craft Room.
Cuttlebug: Swiss Dots on the white mat.

Welcome to Glenda's Cards! Thanks for stopping by!

It is time for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts! Challenge 83 is Marvelous Monograms. We are asked to make monogram cards or a special project with lots of style! For my Monogram card, I chose to use lots of Red Hat Lady style!

Cricut Cartridges:
Sentimentals - Page 28 - Card feature cut 5". This is one of the older Cricut cartridges. It has pretty card shapes and frames that I forget to use! Page 29 - Frame, layer, and shadow are cut 4.25".
Storybook - Page 46 - Letter S is cut 1.75".

Other supplies:
Purple Bazell cardstock, Recollection papers.
Rosette is cut at 3/4" x 12' and scored at each 1/4".

Red feather from stash!
White Gelly Roll pen for faux stitching.

Patchwork Easter Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards

I am playing along with the fun sketch challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. I decided to make an Easter card so I can play along with a few more fun challenges!
The card is 5" x 5" white cardstock and layered with a 4 3/4" square of lavender paper. The nine little squares are cut at 1 1/2". Easter papers are from a friend and other papers are left over from previous projects. This is a good sketch for using small pieces of paper. The fun is laying out the patchwork design! The ribbon is interwoven on the squares for a bit more color and design.

Cricut Cartridge:
Easter 2010 - Egg and shadow are cut at 2 1/2".

Other supplies:
Easter dimensional sticker is from a Walmart pack of handmade stickers. This has been in my stash for a year-maybe two. I thought the sticker would work well with the different colors in my card.
Ribbon is American Crafts - another after Easter clearance!
Paper Studio pearls
Egg is pop-dotted. Versa Magic inking.

Challenges:
Die Cuttin' Divas - Ch. 59 Sketch
Cooking With Cricut - Ch. 80 Easter theme
FCCB - Ch. 105 Egg
My Craft Spot - Ch 50 Easter
Simply Create Too - Ch 10 - Eggs &/or Bunnies ends 4/12
The Sisterhood of Crafters - Celebrating Easter
Krafty Girls - Ch 4 - For Peep's Sake -Easter
