My Sheri Crafts Ch. 102 Snowman or Snowgirl

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today begins a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts and it is my turn to choose the theme! Challenge 102 is Got Snow? You must include a Snowman or Snowgirl on your project!
Cricut Cartridges:
Christmas Cards - Recently I purchased the digital cartridge on the Cricut Craft Room. I enjoyed using the window card feature for another card and decided to try it again for this card. The card and layers are cut at 5". Snowman and layers are cut 6.5".
Lacy Labels - Inside of the card- Love is cut 2.25".
The card is cut from red Recollections card stock. The pretty designer papers are from Recollections Memories Never Melt paper pad. I love these gorgeous papers! It was a hard decision to cut the papers but I do like the results! I thought the patterned paper with the words was perfect for the card window.

 Inside of the card.
The cut out piece of paper from the front window is used on the inside left to cover the opening, leaving a small space for a personal sentiment. Just had to use the right side of the designer paper on the right of the card. Did I say that I love this paper! The small snowman and snowflake are also cut from Christmas Cards but I did not record the sizes.

Visit My Sheri Crafts to see all the fun and inspirational projects by the talented design team and our guest designer. For more information, please visit the individual blogs and don't forget to leave a little love.
Now it is your time to play along with us. Remember you must include a Snowman or Snowgirl! Several Ooh La La awards will be given and one person will be chosen to be our next guest designer!

A Cricut Penguin

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Hope everyone is staying warm! We are having very cold weather in my area, plus have been under ice storm warnings for a couple of days. Thankfully we did not get the ice - just more rain after about 8 inches of rain last week. Schools have been dismissed for a couple of days and I have also been off work for the two days. So I have been playing with paper!
My card is from white cardstock and measures 5" x 6 1/2". The patterned paper is from K&Company EB Visions of Christmas pad that my friend gave me for Christmas. My friend is very sick at this time and I wanted to make her a card. Solid papers are from the scrap stash.
Cricut Cartridges:
Winter Frolic - Page 57 - Penguin is cut 3.5". I do believe this is my first penguin cut. With wonderful inspiration from the design team at Die Cuttin Divas, I was inspired to try a penguin for my card.
Page 57 - Border  is cut at 1". I used two of this image on the front and one on the inside of card.
Page 56 - Phrase and Phrase shadow "For You" is cut 1.5".
Tags, Bags, Boxes & More 2 - Page 47 Phrase"Warm Wishes" is cut 1.75" and used on the inside of the card.

Inside of card.
Other supplies include an Action Wobble on the cute little penguin. Sorry, I was unable to get a good photo of the wobble. Ribbon is 3 Girl Jam and inking is Versa Magic Gingerbread.

Cricut Cindy Loo

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing a simple card made using the Cricut Cindy Loo cartridge and one of the Cuttlebug Cindy Loo companion embossing folders. The card  measures 5" x 7" and is cut from Recollections cream/ivory cardstock. Blue patterned paper is cut 4 3/4" x 6 3/4" and run through the Cuttlebug machine using one of the 5" x 7" folders. This embossing set has four folders- 2 5in x 7in  and 2 4.25 in x 5.75 in. I found this set on clearance recently at Michael's and wanted to give it a try.
Thinking of you is cut at 2" using a gold shimmer paper. The cut is found on the Cindy Loo cartridge page 68.
Other supplies include Recollection Fabric flower from the crafting stash and Versa Magic Gingerbread inking.

A Valentine- Victorian Romance

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing my first Valentine card for 2013. That day will soon be here!
Inspired by the fun sketch at Die Cuttin Divas, I wanted to play along with their first challenge of the new year! The white cardstock card measures 5" x 6 1/2". Papers are scraps from K&Company Kelly Panacci Valentine paper pad. I love this paper! In fact, I found the same paper pad during another visit at Michael's last year and just had to buy it! Now I have another full pack!

Cricut Cartridge is Victorian Romance.
The heart with the couple silhouette is the 6th image on the first row and is cut from white cardstock. The blackout image is the 6th image on the second row and cut from a light pink paper. Both cuts are 3.5".
The small heart and heart layer are cut 1". These are the third images on row 3 and row 4. The words on the heart paper are from the poem How do I love thee.

Other supplies include lace and pearls from my stash. The lace is used for one of the elements of the sketch rather than paper. Inking is Dew Drop Versa Magic Gingerbread.

My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 101 All sports!

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Happy New Year! Welcome to our first challenge of 2013 at My Sheri Crafts! Challenge 101 is All Sports! We are asked to give some love to the athletes in our lives by creating a project with their favorite sports. My project is for my grandson and recognizes baseball in his school colors.

Cricut cartridge: All Sports.
Using the phrase feature on page 62 which is the circle, I cut 2 circles at 5" from the gold paper to make the shaped card. Another circle of gold was cut to layer on the card for added strength. Phrase feature on shift is cut at 5" from the blue paper. The word art is the phrase layer and is cut from the white paper. The batter image on page 32 is cut at 3" and pop-dotted on the card!
Page 22 - Phrase Layer - Home run is cut 1.75".

 Inside of card.
