Cricut Simple Cards

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I managed a little time for card making so it is a simple card for a Red Hat Lady! When I saw this image in the Cricut Craft Room "Cut It Free For A Week", my first thoughts were Red and Purple!
The cartridge is Cricut Simple Cards and the #38 card image is cut at 5.5" from red Bazzill cardstock. The liner is cut from purple Recollections cardstock.

Inside of card

I used Cricut Alphalicious to cut the crown tag that is found on page 124. It is cut at 2" from white Colorbok paper. I added small purple rhinestones to the crown.

Yes, a Simple card, but I really like it! Hope you enjoy it too!

Update from Glenda

Hello blogging friends! It has been quite awhile since I have made a post on my blog. I do not have any paper crafts to share at this time but I do want to share a little bit of what has been happening. You may remember that in my last post I mentioned my husband had been sick. Sadly we heard the diagnosis of cancer. He received some radiation treatments and is now taking chemo treatments. I have retired from work so I can spend time with my hubby. We do appreciate the prayers and other acts of kindness!

My mother had to undergo surgery again because the surgery done in January did not accomplish the hopes of the doctor. After several days of complications, my mother was able to go home from the hospital. She is feeling much better now, but still having to take things slowly.

My sister had an emergency surgery and has undergone several different scans and biopsies to determine if she has cancer. Thankfully a few days ago, she was told there is no cancer! She is scheduled for another surgery.

I also must share that my best friend passed away during February after a short courageous battle with cancer. This has been so sad for me.

It has been a rough time for the entire family. Through God's grace and love and the support of family and friends, we are enduring. I know prayers have been answered and more prayers are being lifted up daily.

I hope to do a little paper crafting soon! Please keep my family in your prayers.

My Sheri Crafts - Ch 103 Valentines

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is February already and time to work on those Valentine projects! Our challenge this week at
My Sheri Crafts will help you get started. For Challenge 103 our design team member Michelle has chosen Valentines - show some love to the ones you love. For my project I decided to try making a Valentines banner!
Cricut Cartridges:
Pretty Pendants - Banner Scallop 1 (second image on first row) is cut from Red Recollections cardstock at 5.5". Heart image is the seventh image of first row. It is cut at 5.5" from Colorbok white cardstock.
Storybook - The letters for the word LOVE are cut 1.50 from white cardstock.
Sweethearts - Page 33 - Cupid is cut 4". One cupid is cut using the flip feature.
Mother's Day Bouquet - Various flower images are cut at varying sizes and layered.

A small red heart shape brad secures the Recollections Floral Embellishments at the top of the banner to the red printed ribbon.

My mother had surgery but  is recovering well. My husband has been ill and was hospitalized for over a week. Hopefully he will be much better soon. Thank you for your prayers!

My Sheri Crafts Ch. 102 Snowman or Snowgirl

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today begins a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts and it is my turn to choose the theme! Challenge 102 is Got Snow? You must include a Snowman or Snowgirl on your project!
Cricut Cartridges:
Christmas Cards - Recently I purchased the digital cartridge on the Cricut Craft Room. I enjoyed using the window card feature for another card and decided to try it again for this card. The card and layers are cut at 5". Snowman and layers are cut 6.5".
Lacy Labels - Inside of the card- Love is cut 2.25".
The card is cut from red Recollections card stock. The pretty designer papers are from Recollections Memories Never Melt paper pad. I love these gorgeous papers! It was a hard decision to cut the papers but I do like the results! I thought the patterned paper with the words was perfect for the card window.

 Inside of the card.
The cut out piece of paper from the front window is used on the inside left to cover the opening, leaving a small space for a personal sentiment. Just had to use the right side of the designer paper on the right of the card. Did I say that I love this paper! The small snowman and snowflake are also cut from Christmas Cards but I did not record the sizes.

Visit My Sheri Crafts to see all the fun and inspirational projects by the talented design team and our guest designer. For more information, please visit the individual blogs and don't forget to leave a little love.
Now it is your time to play along with us. Remember you must include a Snowman or Snowgirl! Several Ooh La La awards will be given and one person will be chosen to be our next guest designer!
