Center Step Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I have been playing with another Center Step Card. The tutorial can be found at Split Coast Stampers. The base of the card starts with white card stock. I layered it with a patterned page from Mrs. Elizabeth Heirloom package that I have had for several years. The dotted yellow paper is leftover from a previous project.

Cricut Cartridges:
Doodlecharms - Cupcake is cut 2.5" wide x 3.25" high. I did not want the candle on the cupcake so that was trimmed off. Cupcake is pop-dotted on the doily.
Lovely Florals - Doily is cut 4.10" high from white and yellow cardstock.
Sentimentals - Tag is cut 2.50" high. Using the Cricut Design Space write feature, the words Happy Birthday are written with the Lovely Florals alphabet.

Eyelet lace, ribbon, and pearls are from my crafting stash.

My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 161 Child's Birthday

Welcome to Glenda's Cards

It is time for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts. Ch. 161 is Child's Birthday. Design team sister Sue asked us to create a child's birthday card for child under 13 years old. My card measures 5" x 6 1/2" and is white card stock. I layered it with a pink paper from a DCWV Fresh Floral Stack. Other papers are from the scrap stack.

Cricut Cartridges:
Birthday Bash - Bird Banner is cut 5" wide. Birthday cake is cut 3" high and pop-dotted on the card.
Sweet Treats - make a wish is cut 2.6" wide.

Cuttlebug folder is Kassies Brocade.

A simple card, but I think it turned out ok!

Now it is your turn to play along with us! Visit My Sheri Crafts to see all the pretty birthday cards made by the design team and our guest designer. For more information on the projects, please visit the individual blogs and leave a little love.

Beach Scene

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

After playing with red, white, and blue papers for a couple of weeks, I was happy to add a little pink on this beach scene card. The card measures 5" x 6 1/2" white cardstock. It is layerd with a patterned paper found in my scrap stash. I think it is K&Company. Solid blue paper is Recollections and all other papers are also from the scrap stash. No, I still have not made a dent in the stack!!

Cricut Cartridges:
Formal Occasion - Beach scene is cut 5.99" wide 5" high. While doing a Cricut Craft Room search for a tree, I saw this little scene with the palm trees and decided to play with it!
Pack Your Bags - Sun Bather girl is cut 2.25" wide. The phrase Peace and Quiet is cut 2.52" wide .86" high.

Challenge:
BBTB2 - Summer Trees

I enjoy playing along with Cricut challenges. While searching for the required Cricut image, I find so many images that I may not would have noticed and tried. This is one of them! I like the way this turned out! It does look peaceful and quiet!

Hope you enjoy! Thanks for your visits and comments!

Independence Day

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I have been playing with red, white, and blue for another patriotic card! In fact, this card is only those three colors and has no patterned paper. I noticed the star shape border card image on a Cricut cartridge and thought why not try this for a patriotic card!

Cricut Cartridges:
Birthday Bash- Star border card is cut 6.25" wide from white Colorbok card stock.
Independence Day - Flag banners. Each is cut 2" high. The tiny red and blue stars that are randomly placed on the card are the cut out stars from the flag banner.
Phrases - Independence Day is cut 4.25" wide.
Stand and Salute - Let Freedom Ring is cut 5.5" wide. This is used inside the card.

I added DMC Memory Thread bows on the flag banners.
