Let It Snow

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

We are having daily rain this week making it a good time to enjoy some paper crafting! Card measures 5" x 6 1/2" and is white card stock.  Glitter Snowflake papers are from Recollections Jingle Bells. I have had this paper pad for long time and finally decided to use the pretty pink/magenta snowflakes papers. I played along with the Sketch 30 at Paper Play Sketches but failed to make my post before the deadline. I do like the sketch!

Cricut Cartridges:
Pretty Pendants - Pendant is cut 1.75" wide x 5.75" high.
Using Basic Shapes, the rectangle is cut 3.20" wide x 3.97" high. The circle is cut 3" for the white and again at 3.15" for the blue circle.
Celebrate with Flourish - Skate is cut 2" wide x 2.28" high.
Holiday Cakes - Sentiment Let it snow is cut 2.13" wide x 1.25" high.

Cuttlebug Snowflakes folder is used on the white mat under the skates.
Martha Stewart Aspen Snowflakes edge punch was used to cut the white snowflakes which are randomly placed on the blue mat.

Die Cuttin' Divas - Ch. 300 Blue and Silver

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is time for another fun challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. Ch. 300 is Blue and Silver with any die cut.
I am playing with Cuttlebug folders and dies that were in a recently purchased Cricut Mystery Box. My card measures 5" x 7" and is cut from silver cardstock. The blue paper is from Colorbok Pearlescent Paper pad.

Cuttlebug:
Anna Griffin Mix and Match Folders and Dies - I used the Versailles Frame on the 5" x 7" blue pearlescent paper. The Get Well Soon die was used on the silver paper. The frame is pop-dotted on the silver card. This set has 4 beautiful frames and 12 sentiment dies. I can play for awhile with all these goodies!

Cricut Cartridges:
Anna's Elegant Embellishments 2 - The tulip flower is cut 2" wide x 2.2" high. This is my first time to use this pretty image. Actually it is only the second image of this recently purchased cartridge that I have cut. I do like the way it turned out! I added a blue crinkle ribbon on the flower. Thanks Karen at Little Scrap Pieces for the pretty ribbon.

For the inside of the card:
Anna's Elegant Embellishments - The tag image is cut 4.24" x 4.24" from the blue and silver paper.
Anna's Garden Cards and Embellishments - Warm Wishes sentiment is printed on the tag using the Cricut Midnight pen.

Martha Stewart Embossed Zig Zag edge punch is used on the lower strip of paper.

Guitar Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Hope this Monday is going well for you! I found some time to play in my craft room with the Cricut! This card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and is white cardstock. I am using some scrap papers from previous projects. When I saw the challenge at BBTB2 this week, I had to make a card that would work for the Elvis's Birthday challenge. I also know someone who was born on the same day! The song that I chose is Guitar Man! Still love his music!

Cricut Cartridges:
Nifty Fifties - Guitar is cut 2.21" wide x 3" high. This is my first time to cut this image. I do like the way it turned out. I added white dashes with a Gelly Roll pen to add a little more interest. A second guitar is cut 3.75" high - this is used inside the card.
Birthday Bash - Star is cut 1.56" wide x 1.50" high.  First time to use this image.
Cake Basics - Happy Birthday is cut 4" wide x 1.48" high. This sentiment is used inside the card. The cartridge is available in Cricut Access and is my time time to use an image from the cartridge.

Cuttlebug:
Happy Birthday folder is used on the white mat.
Swiss Dots is used on the red strip.

Christmas Poinsettia

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It has definitely been Winter in my area for the past couple of days! Our high temperature was 73 degrees a few days ago but the cold front came barreling through with sleet/freezing rain. Our temperature plunged. It has struggled to get to 32 degrees today. I really do not like cold weather and it is suppose to be about 17 tonight. So what do I do!  I stay in my craft room and play with my Cricut machine! Do you realize how soon Christmas will be here again!! I am trying to get a head start on my Christmas cards this year!
This card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and is white card stock. Papers are left over from previous projects.

Cricut Cartridge:
Celebrate with Flourish - Poinsettia is cut 2.75" wide x 1.96" high.

Cuttlebug Script Folder is used on the red mat. I added gold gemstones on the poinsettias.

A simple card, but I think it is a good start on my Christmas cards! Be sure to check the following Christmas Card challenges listed below for weekly inspiration!
