Happy Valentine's Day

 Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

With rainy and cold weather lately, I decided to start working on Valentine projects. Of course, I could not let this recently purchased Cricut Maker sit idle for too long! The pretty patterned papers are from Recollections Be Mine Double-Sided Paper Pad. I enjoyed combining the pretty pink papers with the blues for a non traditional Valentine look. White cardstock is Colorbok.

I purchased the Dreaming Tree My Lovely Valentine SVG Bundle using some of my accumulated points. These are gorgeous designs from the team, as are all their beautiful images! Leo shares very informative and great videos  to help create the wonderful projects. The XXO Card is actually a free SVG. I love how these turned out! Thank you Leo!

Sweetheart Basket - Using the Cricut Maker, I chose the Solid Score images to bring into Cricut Design Space and cut the images at size brought in.The finished basket is 5" high, 10 inches high with the handle. I ungrouped the background hearts and deleted all but one heart. With the Contour feature, I deleted all the small holes except for the ribbon openings. Then I duplicated the heart three more times. Those four hearts were cut from 2 different patterned papers and were glued inside the basket.

Cuttlebug:  Anna Griffin Woven Diamonds embossing folder is used on the four outside hearts.

XXO Card - I used coordinating papers to make the card. I added a strip of the blue dot paper behind the XXO cutouts. Pearls were added. A pretty envelope is also included. Card measures 5" x 7".

I love the results! Hope you enjoy!

Valentine Window Box Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing a Valentine Box Card that was made using my new Cricut Maker! Yes, I finally decided to purchase the Maker and I am pleased with the machine so far. This makes my fourth purchased Cricut machine, but I thought it was time to upgrade from the original Cricut Explore to the Maker.

I used images from several Anna Griffin cartridges which included cut images, print and cut images, Cricut pen draw work and the new Cricut Scoring Wheel. Patterened paper is Anna Griffin.

Cricut Cartridges:

Anna's Window Box Cards - Box card is cut 10.406" wide x 8.753" high using Recollections red card stock. The single rose on stem is print and cut at 3" wide. Double roses are print and cut.
Anna's Window Frame Cards - Single roses used on the side flaps are print and cut 1.75" wide. Sentiment "Just for you" is print and cut 2.5" high.
Anna's Fantastic Flipcards - Heart Embellishment is cut 1.75" wide.
Anna's Lovely Layered Cards 2 - With Love is written on the Heart Embellishment using the Cricut Midnight pen.

Christmas Cards

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing various cards made for my Red Hat Lady friends. Our Christmas party will be tomorrow. I have been busy making eleven cards - so just in time! Papers are Recollections.

Cricut Cartridges:
DJ Inkers 'Tis the Season. I think the images work well in the red and purple colors.
Warm Wishes Card is cut 5.50" wide x 8.50" high.
Fa La La La Card is cut 19.814" wide x 11" high which includes the envelope.
Holiday Cheer card is cut 18.001" wide x 11.215" high including the envelope.

Cricut Pen is Midnight Black. Pilot Precise V5 is used for the red.  I really like the pen work.

I also made the Holiday Cheer card using a pretty plaid paper from The Paper Studio Very Merry paper pad. I added white dashes on the red ribbon with a white Gelly Roll pen. Love the looks on this one too!

Hope you enjoy! Thanks for your visit and comment!

Celebrate the Day - Thank You

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing a Thank you card. It is one of those cards that makes up quite quickly. However, it did take time for me to choose which colors I would use!

Papers are Colorbok and Recollections.

Cricut Cartridge:
Celebrate the Day  -  I received the digital cartridge in a purchased Cricut Digital Mystery Box some time back. I noticed that the cartridge is now available in Cricut Access.
Thank you card measures  51/2" wide x 5" high.
