My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 108 Arbor Day

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Thanks for stopping by today! It is time for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts! It has been awhile since I have been able to play along and I am happy to join the fun this week! Challenge 108 is Arbor Day chosen by our talented Peachy! We are to make a card or project featuring trees / nature.

Cricut Cartridges:
Folk Art Festival - For my first time using this cartridge, I am trying one of the card features. I like this shaped card! Page 74 - Font shadow on shift is cut at 5.5" for the card base. The tree is cut at 4.75" using the main image, shift, and shadow cuts.
Alphalicious - Page 124 - Best wishes is cut at 1.25" using the short stack and short stack shadow keys.
Patterened paper is Berry Street Farmer's Market for the card base. Solid papers are Colorbok.

Be sure to visit My Sheri Crafts to see all the lovely projects by the design team and guest designer. We are happy to welcome Sue to our design team! For more information on the projects, visit the individual blogs! Don't forget to leave a little love!

Now it is your turn to play along with us! Be sure to feature trees / nature! Several Ooh la la awards will be given and one person will be chosen to be our next guest designer. We look forward to seeing your projects!

Thanks for your visits and comments!

Cricut Simple Cards

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I managed a little time for card making so it is a simple card for a Red Hat Lady! When I saw this image in the Cricut Craft Room "Cut It Free For A Week", my first thoughts were Red and Purple!
The cartridge is Cricut Simple Cards and the #38 card image is cut at 5.5" from red Bazzill cardstock. The liner is cut from purple Recollections cardstock.

Inside of card

I used Cricut Alphalicious to cut the crown tag that is found on page 124. It is cut at 2" from white Colorbok paper. I added small purple rhinestones to the crown.

Yes, a Simple card, but I really like it! Hope you enjoy it too!

Update from Glenda

Hello blogging friends! It has been quite awhile since I have made a post on my blog. I do not have any paper crafts to share at this time but I do want to share a little bit of what has been happening. You may remember that in my last post I mentioned my husband had been sick. Sadly we heard the diagnosis of cancer. He received some radiation treatments and is now taking chemo treatments. I have retired from work so I can spend time with my hubby. We do appreciate the prayers and other acts of kindness!

My mother had to undergo surgery again because the surgery done in January did not accomplish the hopes of the doctor. After several days of complications, my mother was able to go home from the hospital. She is feeling much better now, but still having to take things slowly.

My sister had an emergency surgery and has undergone several different scans and biopsies to determine if she has cancer. Thankfully a few days ago, she was told there is no cancer! She is scheduled for another surgery.

I also must share that my best friend passed away during February after a short courageous battle with cancer. This has been so sad for me.

It has been a rough time for the entire family. Through God's grace and love and the support of family and friends, we are enduring. I know prayers have been answered and more prayers are being lifted up daily.

I hope to do a little paper crafting soon! Please keep my family in your prayers.
