Card for a Red Hat Lady

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I am sharing another card made for a Red Hat Lady! Card measures 5" x 7" when folded. The double-sided purple/lavender card stock used for the base of card is from The Paper Company. It has red and purple fibers throughout the sheet. I have had this paper a long time and thought it would be perfect for a Red Hat Lady. Other papers are Recollections.

Darling Dress Greeting Card SVG was purchased from Dreaming Tree. You can purchase the SVG here. I cut images at sizes that were brought into Cricut Design Space with the Cricut Maker. Leo has a great video showing the construction of the card! This is a beautiful design which can be made with many different color and paper combinations!

Cuttlebug Kassie's Brocade embossing folder was used on the red papers of the dress.

Small gemstones are added for the necklace. A button from my Red Hat Lady stash is used on the inside corner. I combined variegated purple and red crinkle ribbons to make the bow.

Loving the looks of this one!

Mother's Day

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I finished another Mother's Day card. Above photo shows the inside of the card with the floral popup.Finished card is 5" x 7".  Papers include Colorbok white, Recollections for solid colors, and K&Company patterned paper.

I have wanted to use this pretty Mother's Day Bouquet Pop Up Card SVG file from Dreaming Tree. I purchased the bundle and this is the first project from the bundle that I have made. There is an excellent video showing the making of the card.

Front of Card

The SVG file includes a Happy Mother's Day phrase for the front of the card. I chose to use the phrase from the Darling Dress Greeting Card file.

Crinkle Ribbon Bow with the tiny flower is from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces. Gemstones are from my stash. Pink inking used on some images.

I like the results of the card! Hope you enjoy!

More Valentine Projects

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I have been making more pretty Valentine projects. Several paper choices were used on the two projects including Cricut Cardstock and Cricut Pearl Paper, Anna Griffin Rose Medley, Recollections, and Colorbok Fresh Blossoms cardstock.

These projects are from Dreaming Tree My Lovely Valentine SVG Bundle. This is a beautiful group of Valentine projects and easy to put together using Leo's wonderful videos.

Toujours L'Amour Heart measures 10" high x 11'" wide x 2.5" depth. I cut the images on the Cricut Maker at the sizes brought into Design Space. Of course, I had to use Anna Griffin Patterned paper on this heart box. Pinks, roses, and pearls --this will definitely be mine and will be placed in my craft room.

Heart Box without roses.

The pretty white shiny heart is placed on pop-dots for dimension. I added a string of pearls around the inside of heart. I like this look and it could be used without the roses, but I love roses! I love the way the roses turned out!

Completed Heart Box

Valentine Romance Card SVG measures 5" wide x 7" high. More pretty Anna Griffin paper used on the card. Pearls added for finishing touch. I hand cut the tiny rose bud from a piece of the left over paper and added it to the card band.

Inside of card.

The mechanism of this card is really unique in that the card opens to display a photo in the center section. Rather than a photo, I chose to use a word.
Cricut Script Bible Verses - Word  "Love" is taken from "Love does no wrong to others" phrase.

I enjoyed working with these projects and love the results! Hope you enjoy!

Pumpkin Treat Box

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I am still playing with Fall images on my Cricut Explore. Thought I would share this cute little treat box!

Dreaming Tree - Pumpkin Treat box is a free file. Thanks Dreaming Tree for the fun treat box! I cut the box from orange cardstock and the pumpkin from a golden/orange cardstock. The greens are from Cricut cardstock.

Kim Byers - Pie! Oh My! - "For You to Gobble Gobble later" tag is cut 2.473" wide x 3.75" high.
This is a print and cut image that was available free for last week. Glad I found a use for the image!

Cuttlebug:
Divine Swirls folder is used on each of the three pumpkin pieces. The top two pieces are pop-dotted on base of pumpkin.
Polka Dots folder - leaf

Layers of the pumpkin are inked on the edges for a bit of dimension.

I am pleased with the treat box. Of course, it may just stay in my crafting area since I added some yummy candies!

Another Christmas Card in July

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing another Christmas Card in July. It always helps me to get an early start on making my Christmas cards. You know it is only 5 months until Christmas!! Where has this year gone!

Papers are Colorbok white, Recollections shades of blue, and patterned paper is from DCWV Four Seasons paper pad. Choosing paper takes awhile for me, but I am well pleased with the colors and papers on this card.

Card is Dreaming Tree Silent Night Bendi Card. For more interest, I chose to add glitter snowflakes to the white paper. The snowflake svg is from Dreaming Tree Snowflake Tag. I cut 4 differents sizes of snowflakes and glued them on at random.

Hope you enjoy! Thanks for your visits and comments!

Ode to Joy Christmas Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Hot July is a good month to stay in my craft room and work on more Christmas projects! There are several projects that I want to do, but I have problem choosing which one to make first!

Dreaming Tree SVG - Ode to Joy card. The finished size of this card measures 5.7" high x 6.9" wide x 1.5" depth. I have had this file for awhile. I am glad that I chose it because I really like the results! I enjoy working with Dreaming Tree 3D SVG files. Always beautiful projects!

Papers include Recollections - red, Colorbok - white, Craft Smith Embossed - green tree. Patterned papers are from scrap sash. The star is cut from Cricut Gold Foil Poster Board. I could not find anything in 25 Christmas Pads that I wanted to use behind the windows. As a crafter, I make do with what I can find. The two glittered panels were cut from an older Christmas card. Perfect! Glad I saved that one! HA

Photo to show layers and depth of card.

Cuttlebug Embossing Folders:
Swiss Dots folder on the front red paper.
Script folder on the Green package.

I added Recollections flowers on the white garland, then added a Recollection pearl to each flower. Pearls are added to the gift packages. Gold Stickles added to holly berrries.

Hope you enjoy! Thanks for your visits and comments!

Bow Basket

 Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I have seen so many pretty versions of this 3D basket. With Christmas still on my mind, I chose to make a Christmas themed basket. Perfect size for candy, cookies, or small gifts.

The Bow Basket is part of Dreaming Tree SVG Give a Gift Bundle that I purchased recently. I knew when I saw the basket, it would be my first project to do from the set. Finished size measures 3" H x 7" W x 3.5"D. I used the Paper Studio Yuletide Joy Paper pad. Love mixing the pretty patterned and plaid papers together.

Cuttlebug:
Anna Griffin Regal Braid  embossing folder on the red patterned paper on sides of the basket. I used the border folder from the same set to emboss the handle.

Paper Studio Spare Parts Brads - The two brads have Christmas trees on then.

Side view of basket.

I enjoyed making this basket! With a change of papers, the basket can be used for many occasions. Thanks for your views and comments!

Butterfly Box

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Do you like butterflies! When I saw this pretty Dreaming Tree project, I had to download the free SVG and make it right away!

Patterned papers are from K&Company Classic K 12 x 12 Paper pad. I love the pretty double-sided papers in this pack. Cricut Pearl Paper is used for the top of the box. This cut great on my Cricut machine and has a pretty shimmer.

Cricut Font Chloe - Love is written on the label with the Cricut Very Berry pen.

The little box will be good for a gift or candies. Also, I think a battery operated tea light will be pretty in it. Sorry, my photo did not show the flickering light.

I really like how this turned out! Thank you Dreaming Tree for the beautiful SVG.

Hat Box

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Now I am making hat boxes! Well, actually my first one! Are you surprised that it is not Red and Purple! My first one has to be pink! I may have to try those colors soon!

The images are from Dreaming Tree. Hat box is the Skimmer Hat Box SVG. Box base is cut from white Colorbok cardstock. The pretty floral paper is Anna Griffin Blythe Paper Pad. Because I selected the pretty rose paper, I chose to use the Rose SVG from Dreaming Tree Alluring Florals Bundle for my flowers. Of course, all images were cut using my Cricut Explore.

Side view.

The box goes together easily using Dreaming Tree video for the project. The lid lifts up for a gift or storage area. I will use the pretty decorated hat box in my craft room to remind me of the beautiful Spring roses in bloom!

Hope you enjoy! Thanks for your visits and comments!

Winterscape Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I was happy to see the Cricut cartridges that came in the July Digital Mystery Box. Did you know that Dreaming Tree has a Christmas Collection available through Cricut? Wow! I just had to purchase it!

This is my first project using the Christmas Collection. It is called Winterscape Card. When the project was brought into Cricut Design Space, I left the size as it was - 34.381" wide x 11" high which includes an envelope. I did not cut the envelope at this time. My finished box is approximately 6 1/4" wide x 10 inches high. The size shown on the Dreaming Tree website is 9.5"H x 6"W x 1.75"D.  I plan to add a battery operated light inside the box and use as a Christmas decoration.

Side view with a tealight inside.

Front view of card!
Hope you enjoy! Cricut may have more Mystery boxes available.

My Sheri's Crafts - Ch. 195 Winter

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today begins a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts! Design team sister Sue is hostess of  Challenge 195 - Winter. She asks that we create a project that has anything to do with Winter: Christmas, snow, hot chocolate, etc.

Some time back, I was lucky to win a SVG certificate from FCCB sponsored by The Dreaming Tree. So many pretty SVG files are available on the site and it took me awhile to choose. I chose the lovely Christmas Bendi Cards SVG bundle. As it was a Christmas selection, I am just now playing with the file. This is also my first try with a Bendi card. I love the image and how great it all went together. I used black for the Santa sleigh against the snowflake background paper that I had chosen. I used sizes as given in the instructions. I am really pleased with the results! Many thanks to FCCB and The Dreaming Tree

My Sheri Crafts - Ch.193 Creepy-Crawly Halloween

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is time for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts! For Challenge 193, design team sister Peachy chose Creepy-Crawly Halloween theme. She asked that we include creepy, crawly and/or flying critters.

For my project I chose to use the 3D Halloween Lantern SVG file from Dreaming Tree. The main 1 Black section is cut 7.08" wide x 7.7" high using my Cricut Explore. Main 2 Black section is cut 7.12" wide x 10.15" high and the Panel section is cut from vellum at 5.70" wide x 9.29" high.

For extra color and dimension, I added a stripe cardstock strip at the bottom and purple ric rac at the top of lantern. I am using a battery operated tea light in the lantern.
