FALL / Recessed window

I enjoy the results of a recessed window card and decided to try it again with a Fall theme. It takes me a long time to complete one of these cards, but I think the results are worth it!

A tutorial and video can be found at SplitCoastStampers for the recessed window card. I followed the cutting directions given in the video. The card was cut 5 1/4 X 10 3/4, scored at 5 1/4 and again at 5 1/2. The little created spine will help the card lay flat.

After a little blogging, I decided to incorporate several Cricut cuts and enter the card in several challenges. First I needed a barn. The challenge is to use the barn from the Cricut Old West cartridge, but I do not have that cartridge. I located this cute barn on Everyday Paper Dolls and cut it out to go inside the created window. Next I needed pumpkins and leaves for a couple more challenges. It was a lot of chirping going on as the Cricut Expression cut pumpkins and leaves of different sizes and papers. Why not add a tree and maybe throw in a wheelbarrow? The card began to take shape!!

Trying to think of a good title or sentiment, I glanced through a recently purchased Cricut Pooh Font Set cartridge. I found this on clearance for $15.00. Love those good buys!! One of the creative features on this cartridge is Wood and I thought this font would look good with my old barn/country theme.

Cricut Cartridges:
Everyday Paper Dolls - Barn cut 2 3/4 inches; Leaves cut in varying sizes 1 inch to 2 1/4 inches; Wheelbarrow cut 3 inches
Stretch Your Imagination - Pumpkins cut in varying sizes 3/4 inch to 2 inches: Tree cut 4 1/2 inches
Cricut Pooh Font Set - Wood feature -Fall - each letter cut 3/4 inch

Cuttlebug - Divine Swirls - Pumpkins;  Distressed Stripes -Tree
Paper - Recollections Autumn. I enjoy this double-sided paper which was purchased last year.
Versa Magic ink and lots of Pop-dots!!

Challenges:
BBTB2     -                Barn - Old West
Cooking with Cricut - #2  Pumpkins
Fantabulous Cricut  -  #32  Falling Leaves -- Use at least 1 leaf

Hope you enjoy this card! Thank you for viewing and your comments are always appreciated!

Another Fall Card

Hope you are having a great day!
We are now having some Autumn temperatures after so much hot weather. Guess that is why I decided to do another Fall theme card. I used one of the sketches that Carolyn designed for RAQ's Card Challenge. I previously made a card using the same stripe paper, but having an extra sheet, I thought it would do  good for the sketch layout!

Cricut cartridges:
Cricut Lite Lovely Floral - Doily cut 3 1/4; Used the font for the words..each letter cut 1 inch. This is my first time to use the font feature and I really like it.
Stretch Your Imagination - Leaf cut on silhouette and blackout
Wild Card - Sentiment inside "a little something for you" cut at 8 1/4 inch,  leaf cut at 2 3/4 and again 3 1/4

Corner punch, Martha Stewart ink
Paper:  Bazzill, Recollection, K&Company

This card is made for a friend as a Just Because/Thank You card. Hope she will enjoy it!
