My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 151 Welcome Spring

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is time for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts! Challenge 151 is Welcome Spring chosen by our team member Peachy. She wants us to create a Spring-themed project. I think many of us are ready for Spring!
My card is 5"x7" cut from white cardstock. I tried to create a pretty Spring scene. The blue sky background paper is cut from Miss Elizabeth Elegance. This pack of 5 papers was purchased at Dollar Tree many years ago.Our local store no longer carries scrapbooking items. Rest of the papers were left over from other projects.

Cricut Cartridges:
Spring Cottage - Gazebo cut 4.50"w, Tulips cut 1.50"h, Daffodils cut 1.75"h.
Stretch Your Imagination - Word Spring with tulips cut 1.25"w.
Wild Card - Starburst cut 1.25"h.
Disney Pooh & Friends - Butterfly cut .75"h. Just had to have a blue butterfly!!
Cuttin'Up - Best Wishes cut 2.71"w x 1.87"h. This sentiment is used inside of card.
Grass is hand cut.

 Inside of card.
The pretty floral paper used on the inside of the card is the lower section of the blue sky paper.

Now it is your turn to play along with us. Visit My Sheri Crafts to see all the lovely Spring projects created by our guest designer and design team. For more information about the projects, please visit the individual blogs. We look forward to seeing your Spring projects!

Thanks for your visit! Hope you enjoy my Spring scene!

Best Wishes

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It has been awhile since I have posted but I will be back on Saturday with a new project for My Sheri Crafts. Be sure to visit tomorrow and play along with us!

Meanwhile, I am working with the new blogger interface---yes--just when I got used to the old one!!
I discovered a card post in draft that I had never posted when I first started my blog so I am sharing  with you today to see how things work out!

This is a card that was previously posted on the Cricut Messageboard using one of the sketches from RAQ'S Card Challenge 7/7 - 7/13 (I think 2010) and the colors of the Ad Color Challenge that week.

Card is 6 1/2 X 5. The background paper is a paper that I had a long time, and could not make myself cut it. But now that the card is completed, I am glad that I finally used the paper.

Cricut cartridges:
Cuttin' Up - Best Wishes cut 2 inches
Storybook - G Accent/Blackout for the background behind the cake, cut 2 1/2 inches; Butterfly (oops, did not record size)

Cuttlebug - Swiss Dots on the sentiment. Cake is from the Birthday folder set.
Martha Stewart - Doily Lace trim. Used a corner punch to make the corner accent.
Recollections - gemstones

Thanks for your visit!

Happy New Year 2012

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

As the new year quickly approaches, I finally find time to post a New Year's card. The card is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" from white Colorbok cardstock and is layered with a green glitter paper. The green, pink, and yellow papers are glitter papers from the Paper Studio Birthday Extravanganza paper pack.
Cricut Cartridges:
Simply Charmed - Page 75 Party Horn cut 3.75"
Cuttin' Up - Page 75  Let's Party cut 1". 2012 - I think is .50".
Cuttlebug Folder - Tiffany - I decided to frame the little whimsical party horn. I was excited to find this pretty folder at Michael's during my last shopping spree!
Challenges:
Cards by Jovan - New Year's Challenge. If you would like to play along with this challenge, be sure to check out Jovan's post and great giveaway. The deadline has been extended to Monday.
Cricut Cutter Room - Design Time Thursday - Sparkle Time. Anything goes, but it must sparkle--Glitter or Stickles. I hope all my glitter paper shows in the photo!

I want to take this time to wish you a very Happy New Year! I appreciate all your support and comments! I am looking forward to another fun year of crafting and visiting with my blogging friends!
