My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 175 Bold Color

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is time again for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts. Ch. 175 is Bold Color. Our design team sister Sue asked us to use bold color. Needing some treat boxes for Red Hat Ladies, I chose to use Red and Purple.

Cricut Cartridges:
Victorian Romance - Valentine Heart Cone Box is cut 8.25" wide.
Sweethearts - Cupid tag is cut 2.75" high.

I added red crinkle ribbon from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces. I think my friends will enjoy these!

Valentine - Red and Purple

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I made a few cards for my friends in the Red Hat Ladies Society. Know what that means -- red and purple.

Cricut Cartridges:
Simple Holiday Cards - Love card is cut 5.5" x 8.50" from white cardstock and purple cardstock. Card measures 5.5" x 4.25". I chose a different color for the liner paper on each card. The cut out heart pieces were glued to the card fronts for an extra pop of red and purple.
Holiday Cakes - Happy Valentine's Day is cut 3.5" wide. I was in a rush to mail the cards, so I failed to take a photo of the inside of the card.

Simple cards but by using different paper colors, each card has its own unique look!

Valentine - Keyhole Heart Box

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing my play on a cute little treat box that I noticed in Cricut Design Space. This will work good for a girl's prize at the upcoming Valentine's party. Patterned paper is from K&Company Specialty Paper pack. Yikes, I actually cut into a 12" x 12" piece of paper for this little box.

Cricut Cartridges -
Tags, Bags, Boxes, & More2 - Keyhole Heart Box is cut 11.50" wide. Box measures 3" wide x 4" high. When the box is closed, the tabs are inserted into the keyhole opening on the heart.
Thoughts & Phrases- You are my fave - Love image is cut 2.25" wide. I thought this sentiment would be great, because that is what it is all about! I used a teal blue paper for the word love. If you notice in the photo below, paper is double-sided with a pretty multicolored design.

I added a baker's twine bow to complete the box.

Valentine - Decorated Canning Jar

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Needing a few more Valentine's gifts, I chose to do a project using vinyl. When I saw the chalkboard look jar lid on the canning jars at The Dollar Tree, I had to purchase a few jars! What a fun project!

Cricut Cartridges:
Valentine's Day - Heart doily is cut 3" x 3" from The Paper Studio Metallic Red and Cricut White vinyl. The red vinyl is not a really deep red and may appear pink in the photos.
Spring Fling - Canning Jar Gift Tag is a Make It Now project in Cricut Design Space. I love the canning jar image. The tag will measure 4 1/2" x 2 1/4". I added some Crinkle red ribbon from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces to wrap around the jar and make the bow.

I drew a heart with teal blue chalk on the jar lid. Filled the jar with individually wrapped candies.

Photo showing more of the tag!

Valentine - Pop-Up Box Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I have seen pretty Pop-Up Box Cards and decided it was time for me to try this pretty card style. I followed the tutorial on Split Coast Stampers to make the box. Papers are from K&Company Valentine paper pads-- left over papers from previous projects. After making the box, it was fun time using my Cricut to cut the pretty Valentine images!

Cricut Cartridges:
Create a Critter 2 - Chocolate Box is cut 1.75" wide.
Disney Princess Dreams Come True - Double Hearts cut 1.50" wide.
Valentine's Day - Heart with the word Valentine written on banner is cut 2.75" wide. Valentine was written using the Write feature.
Feb 14 is cut 3" wide.
Heart of roses is cut 2.25" wide. I cut two of these - used one on each side flap.
Phrases - True Love Valentine is cut 2.25" wide.
Sweethearts - Love heart stamp is cut 1.75" wide.

The two Hearts of roses, True Love Valentine, and Feb 14 are pop-dotted on the card flaps. Some of the images inside the box area were attached to strips of acetate which allows them to move slightly when the card is opened.

Side views of the pop-up box card.

Folded card.

I am pleased with my first Pop-Up Box Card. Of course, it is pinks and hearts, two of my favorite things! I think this will be my Valentine Card!!

Valentine - Owl Treat Boxes

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Just a few days before Valentine's Day and I am still playing with Valentine projects! I saw this cute little treat box in Cricut Design Space and knew it would be perfect for some quick gifts.

Cricut Cartridge:
Owl Be Yours Valentine's Party - Owl Valentine Basket is available using the Make It Now feature if you own the cartridge. I chose to use the feature and I like the results. The finished basket measures about 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".  I changed some of the paper color for the baskets and the handles. I filled small acetate treat bags with candy and tried a ribbon bow.
I chose not to include a name tag because the treat boxes will be used for prizes at a Valentine's party.

 Photos of individual boxes.

Challenges:

CardzTV - 3D Challenge #1 - Valentine treat boxes or bag
DL.ART - February Linky Party

Hope you enjoy these little owl treat boxes! I am sure the kids will!

Valentine - Love Elephant

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Sharing a Valentine card that I made for my grand daughter using images and colors that she likes. Maybe not a typical Valentine, but she will love it! Card measures 5" x 6 1/2" white cardstock.
Using a pretty sketch from PageMaps  - Card Sketch Jan. 2015, I was able to combine pretty scrap papers to make this card! Love how it turned out!

Cricut Cartridges:
Holiday Cakes - Love Elephant is cut 3.25" wide. Happy Valentine's Day is cut 3.50" wide. This is used inside the card.
Home Decor - Love is cut 2" wide.

Cuttlebug Hearts folder is used on the white mat. Elephant and heart are pot-dotted.
Martha Stewart Lace Heart edge punch is used on the green paper. Memory thread bow is added to complete the card.
