I have been playing with some embossing folders and the sketch challenge Die Cuttin Divas. Card measures 5" x 7". White papers are from Colorbok pad. I think this makes a pretty wedding card! It could also be used for an anniversary card- maybe include the number of years!

Cricut Cartridge: Wedding - Cake is cut 2.75". Pearls and Glossy Accents are used on the cake which is pop-dotted on the mat.

Cuttlebug embossing folders are Wedding Borders- Mr. & Mrs. border and Swiss Dots on the mat.

Spellbinder M-Bossabilities - Hearts Side A- heart background. This is a reversible embossing set.

Crinkled ribbon is from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces.

Lace from the stash. I used a little ink to define some of the edges.
I was having trouble with my camera..do not know why I kept getting a blue tint!

My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 109 Mother's Day

Hi Friends! It is time for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts. Our talented Sandy chose Mother's Day as the theme for Challenge 109. She asked us to show what makes your Mother so unique. Maybe it is frills and lace, a sense of humor....show us in your card/project.

This is my first time to try the SplitCoastStampers's tutorial for a Diamond Origami Fold Card. The card style is so unique and with the pretty flower patterned papers, it is perfect for my Mom who loves flowers!

If you try the tutorial for the card, please note that on Step 2 the score lines should be 3 1/4" and 5 1/2" not the 3" and 5 1/2" given in the written instructions. That change is noted in one of the comments on the first page.

Cricut Cartridges:

Flower Shoppe - Page 13 - Scallop 4 is cut 2.25" and 2". Oops, I think Scallop 1 was 2". 

Page 22 - Ruffle 5 is cut 1". I used 5 of these leaves.

Wedding - Hearts cut 1.5" using the basic and blackout images.

Mother's Day 2010 - Happy Mother's Day is cut 3".

Martha Stewart Scroll Lace Corner punch is used on the rectangle mat. Ribbon is from stash. Lots of inking! Paper is double-sided K&Company. I enjoyed making this unique card and know that I will have to try it again.

Valentine Criss Cross Card

This card is my first try at making a Criss Cross Card. I had so much fun with this and I am really happy with the finished card. I followed a great tutorial found at SplitCoastStampers. The card starts with two 4 1/4" x 11" pieces of cardstock and will be 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 when completed. Directions state to use a 4" x 5" piece of patterned paper for the front of the card. However, my patterned paper is cut at 4 1/4"x 5 1/2' so that the paper completely covers each criss cross shape of the card. The pretty papers are Kelly Panacci K&Company. I love all these papers--just my colors! For a lacey look on the card, I used the Martha Stewart Lace Heart edge punch...cut the strips to fit each long diagonal edge and glued strips to backside of the patterned piece.         Pull Out Insert

This photo shows the pull out insert of the card. I used Cricut Wedding cartridge for the heart and shadow cuts at 3 inches. I had cut the heart before I made the inset. To accomodate the size of the heart, I adjusted the size larger for the insert card rather than using the size given in the tutorial. Lots of Martha Stewart pink inking!

There are many possibilities with this style card. I just love it! In fact, I am making another one and will share with you soon!

So Saturday Challenge #2 - Anything Valentine's Related

In Black & White with One More Color--Jitterbuggin' Challenge

 I enjoy working with Sherri's sketches and challenges, so I am sharing another card that was made for Jitterbuggin' Challenge- Sketch 10, July 22, 2010.  Sherri asked us to use black and white only with one accent color of our choice, use a punch and of course, use a cricut cut.

For my card, I chose several intricate and pretty hearts from Love Struck, Wedding and Home Decor - hoping maybe for a vintage feel. Sentiment is also from Home Decor.
Punches: Corner rounder and Martha Stewart Embossed Pop-up Daisy.

My accent color is a pretty hot pink pearlescent paper...I had a lot of trouble photographing the card. All pink paper is same sheet, but in the pics, it looked different shades!
