Cricut Christmas/Noel Poinsettia Card

  Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I am back with another Christmas card! The paper is from K&Company Yuletide Die-Cut Cardmaking pad. This gorgeous double-sided paper pad was bought 2 or 3 years ago-one of those after Christmas clearance purchases. I finally convinced myself to cut it! The paper measures 5.5" x 9" and has the die cut shape on one end. Just fold it in half and you have the card! I do have some of the same papers in a 12" x 12" paper pad.
Inspired by the card design on the front of the paper pad, I used the same pretty papers for my card. I cut the striped paper and layered it on the paisley and added the strip of green patterned paper at the top.

Outside view of the card.
Using Cricut Christmas/Noel cartridge for the images, the poinsettia is cut at 2.5". Pop dots are used to layer the flower and Gold Stickles are used in the center. The phrase Greetings and shadow are cut at 1". Lots of inking!

I am pleased with the way the card looks and may have to use more of this die cut paper.
Hope the card recipient enjoys this!

Cricut Christmas Cards

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing my first card made using the Cricut Christmas Cards cartridge. I decided to buy myself a little early gift! lol This is an older cartridge (I think 2010) and the actual cartridge was sold out so I purchased the digital copy of this cartridge. I prefer the actual cartridge, but I really like this scene!
We seldom receive snow is my area and of course I do not have a horse and carriage. Sometimes though we visit a town that is decorated so pretty during the Christmas season and they do have a carriage ride! It is such a fun way to see all the pretty lights and decorations!
Using Cricut Craft Room, the image and layers are cut at 5".  I cut the words Joy and Peace which are also on this cartridge but did not record the size. I chose to use Joy! Card base is red Recollections paper.
Designer paper is Recollections Naughty or Nice Paper Pad. I used four of the patterned papers. It may not show very well in the photo, but the green dot and holly paper have glittered areas. Other solid papers are from the scrap stash. Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes was used on the tree.

I am sharing another card using Cricut A Quilted Christmas cartridge. Looks like Christmas will be here before I can use all the pretty images on this cartridge! Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is time for another fun and inspiring challenge at My Sheri Crafts! Challenge 100 is It's A Wrap--all about decorating packages, bags, or tags for Christmas! Several months ago, I purchased Cricut Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More 2 cartridge. This was the perfect time for me to try out one of the images that inspired me to buy the cartridge. I thought the tea cup would be a wonderful gift/container for friends!
The tea cup and saucer are on page 29.  I cut it at the recommended size of 9"  from a piece of K&Company Yuletide double sided Christmas paper.
Using Cricut Elegant Edges, I cut the snowflake image on page 47 at 2.87" and used it as a doily on the saucer.
Other supplies include Making Memories paper poinsettias that I have had for several years. Inking is Versa Magic Gingerbread.

 More tea cups!

Cricut Elegant Edges - Page 23 - Scallop 1 was used for the doilies on these two tea cups! Papers are from the same K&Company paper pack. I am loving the finished look! Just need to make more!!

A Quilted Christmas - Borders

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I have been playing again with Cricut A Quilted Christmas cartridge. I am loving this cartridge. There are many pretty images and fun features available. Today I am sharing two cards made using the card feature and borders.
The top card is using the poinsettia Border 4 found on page 72. The lower card is using the gifts/packages Border 8 found on page 76. Both cards are cut at 5.5" from red Recollection paper. The liner is cut from a gold shimmer paper from Holiday Time.
I used Cricut Celebrate with Flourish to cut the sentiment Merry Christmas. It is cut at 1.75" from red and 2 different shades of green papers. The shadow is cut from the gold paper.
Simple cards and I like the finished look of the borders!

My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 99 Tis the Season

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is time for another inspirational challenge at My Sheri Crafts! Challenge 99 is "Tis the Season" - create a card/project which represents what you celebrate during this time of the year. My card celebrates the Holy birth of Jesus, the greatest gift of all, and what it means to us.

Using Cricut A Quilted Christmas cartridge, I chose to use one of the card features-this cuts the silhouette out of the card. I like the manger scene. The image is Joseph on page 51. The card is cut 5.5" from Recollections red cardstock. The images cut out very well at this size with the finished card measuring  5.5" x 4 5/16". Using the card feature on shift will cut the liner for the card.
I added the star from Cricut Christmas/Noel. It is cut at 1.5".
The star and card liner are cut using a gold shimmer paper from a pack of Holiday Time Designer Paper. My photo does not capture the shimmer of the paper very well.

Visit My Sheri Crafts to see the inspiration by the design team and our guest designer. For more details on the projects, please visit the individual blogs. We love your visits and comments on our blogs!
Now it is your turn to play along with us! We look forward to seeing your cards/projects! Remember several Ooh la la awards will be given!

 Welcome to Glenda's Cards

A Quilted Christmas - Chimney

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Recently I purchased Cricut A Quilted Christmas cartridge and finally found a little time to play with it. This cartridge has some wonderful images on it - hard to choose which image to start with- but I chose the first image on the overlay. Love Santa coming down the chimney!
Visiting Card Creations By Lorraine, I noticed that Lorraine had an excellent video on how to make a shaped card using this chimney image. She is so talented and inspiring! I wanted to give this shaped card a try! Thanks so much Lorraine for sharing your lovely creations and videos with us!

This image is on page 29 in the handbook and I cut the images at 5" using Cricut Craft Room. The chimney on shift has some very tiny little berries which did not cut well so I used Stickles for some random berries. On layer 1 shift, I used Hide Contour in the CCR to be able to cut the holly in green and the boots in gray. Layer 2 shift shows small cut pieces that may go on the candle flame, but again this is so tiny. Using the hide contour feature I cut only the white for Santa"s waistline. Gold Stickles were used on the candles.

Other supplies include the Martha Stewart punch for the fern greenery. Thanks Lorraine for reminding me that I had the punch! The Poinsettia flower is Making Memories that has been in my stash for several years.

I had so much fun making this shaped card and like the results! Thanks again Lorraine for the inspiration! Now I may be able to make more shaped cards without the use of the Gyspy, Design Studio or CCR.
Now head on over to Card Creations By Lorraine and check out Lorraine's amazing talent! I am sure you will be inspired!

Thanks for your visits and comments.

The phrase "new arrival" is cut at 7".
I added a crinkle ribbon bow and a little doodling with a Gelly Roll pen.
Simple card, but I hope the mom to be enjoys it!

Thanks for stopping by!

BBTB2 - Witch

Welcome to Glenda's Cards

It is time for another inspirational Cricut challenge at BBTB2! Our talented design team sister Susan wants us to use a witch. This can be any witch from any Cricut cartridge to create a Halloween project. I chose to do a small wreath for my Red Hat friend. The little witch heard about the party and dressed up for the occasion! The wreath is a 9" Willow Wreath that was purchased for one dollar.
Cricut cartridge is Wrap It Up! The witch image is on page 69 and is cut at 10" using Recollection papers.
Using a 2 1/2" wired ribbon that actually is a Christmas ribbon bought last year, I wrapped the willow wreath and made the bow. To add a bit more detail to the witch and broom, I added Silver Stickles which goes with the silver glittered edge of the ribbon. The witch is attached by using pop-dots.
Simple project but a cute decoration for the party!

My second project uses the witch image but this time it is the box cut. I cut the box at 5". Of course, again I used the red and purple theme. Purple tissue and red/purple curly ribbon accent the little bag. I added a piece of a Cricut packaging behind the witch cut out. Using purple paper in the bag, I just added a piece of white tissue behind the plastic. A cute little treat bag for my Red Hat friends!

Visit BBTB2 to see all the fun and creative projects made by the design team! For more information about the projects, please visit the individual blogs. We enjoy your visits and comments!
Now it is your turn to show us your witch! Remember this is a Cricut challenge and the witch must be cut from a Cricut cartridge. One person will be chosen to receive the Project of the Week award.

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is time for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts! In observance of Mother-in-Law Day (Oct. 28), our design team sister Sue asked us to create a card using Fall colors and 3 embellishments.
My card measures 5" x 6 1/2" from white cardstock. Patterned K&Company and the solid papers are scrap papers from previous projects. Always nice to get another project!

Cricut Cartridge:
Cindy Loo - Page 68 Font - Thinking of you is cut 1.5".
Cheery Lynn - French Pastry Doily and Doily Angel Wing
For my embellishments I used a handmade rosette left over from a previous project, a leaf button with the shank cut off and placed on a pop-dot, and the flower button in the rosette.
Simple card, but I like the results!

Purple Recollection paper was used for the box and the other papers are from my scrap stash.

Wrap It Up - Page 59 Pumpkin box is cut at 9". Using the Cricut Craft Room and playing with the sizes, I used the Basic and Layer cuts so I would have the four different colors that you see. Phrase Happy Halloween is cut 1".

BBTB2 - Use a Tree

 Welcome to Glenda's Cards

Today begins another fun and inspirational challenge at BBTB2! Our talented designer Jayne asked us to create a project using a tree from any Cricut cartridge. My first thought was to add to my Christmas cards!
Card is 5" x 7" cut from white Colorbok cardstock. The Martha Stewart Holidays paper is a leftover piece from another project.
Cricut cartridge is Trim the Tree! I bought this cartridge last year and decided I should try one of the images! These are pretty, yet intricate images. Using the larger card size, I cut the tree image at 5.50". Choosing the paper for the tree background posed a problem. Would you believe I cut a green, gold, and white image! I decided to use the white image.
Other supplies include Recollections red gemstones used to decorate the tree. Star button at the top of the tree was in my stash. I added a bow made with DMC Memory Thread.
Creative Charms- Happy Christmas.

Sentimentals Lock and Key

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

We have been having a very rainy weekend in my area. I was able to play with the Cricut and one of the older Cricut cartridges. When I saw the challenge at Papercraft Star to use Locks and/or Keys, I thought it was time to bring Sentimentals out of hiding. Papers are from the 12" x 12" double-sided K&Company Ancestry Com paper pad. Love this paper!
Cricut Sentimentals:
Page 36 - Using the card feature, the card is cut at 5". The key shape opening is cut out of the front of the card. I backed the opening with a coordinating paper. An envelope image is also available on the same page. However I cut my card a bit too large for the envelope to be cut on a 12"x12" paper. Cut and learn! Next time, I will determine the card size first!
Using the Phrase feature, Key to my Heart is cut 1.37".
Page 35 - The lock is cut at 3".
Other supplies include lace and heart shaped pearls from my stash. The lock is pop-dotted on the card. Inking is Versa Magic Gingerbread.

Challenge:

Hope you enjoy this card using one of the favorite older cartridges!

My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 95 It's Picking Time!

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Are you ready for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts! Our challenge this week is "It's Picking Time". Our design team sister Charlotte asked us to include an apple or a pumpkin on our project.
Cricut Cartridge: Working in Cricut Craft Room
Freshly Picked - Looking through this neglected cartridge, I found this cute pumpkin featured on page 68. You will notice the card has a bit of shape rather than a rectangle. Using the Layers2/Shadow key and cut size 5.25", I welded two of the shapes to make the card base. The patterned designer papers are cut at 5" using the main and main/shadow keys. The pumpkin and leaf are cut 5" using the layers key. Sorry I did not record the size of the green background mat.
I thought the pumpkin sign was just too cute not to use. It is cut at 2.75".
Page 49 -  for sale is cut 1.50".
Cuttlebug: Swiss Dots - Leaf,  Divine Swirls - Pumpkin.
Other Supplies:
Brads and raffia bow are from my stash. Pop-dots used on the pumpkin and for sale sign.
Patterned papers are K&Company Tim Coffey Halloween & Fall. Solid papers DCWV.

I had fun playing with this Cricut cartridge. It also has a seeds packet and a frame cut on the pumpkin page. For a project that I made last year using the apple frame from this same cartridge, please click here.

My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 94 My Family

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is Saturday and time for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts! Challenge 94 is My Family. Our design team sister Peachy asked us to create a family themed project or a card for a family member. I will be needing several birthday cards for family members so this is a good start!
Card is 5" x 6 1/2". The textured background paper is DCWV and other papers are from the Bo Bunny Little Miss collection.
Cricut Cartridge: Using Cricut Craft Room
Straight from the Nest - Page 35 Birdcage is cut 3.12". Corner feature is cut 1.12" on flip. I like the pair of birds in the corner cut. Thanks to my friend for the use of this cartridge.
Spellbinders Nestabilities - Peony for the green patterned mat.
Other supplies:
Bo Bunny Little Miss collection for the trinket on the birdcage. There is a Cricut cut bird on the birdcage but I chose to use the trinket on top of it.
Zva Ceative self-adhesive pearl from a friend. Lace is from another friend. Hmm--maybe I should call this my friendship card! Thanks to my friends!
Prima Flowers. Ribbon for the bow is from my stash.
If you look closely in the left corner, you can read on the paper Never regret - Live your dream. That is a good sentiment for my card!

Pretty in Pink

Welcome to Glenda's Cards

Today I am sharing a card using one of the digital images that I recently won at Papercraft Star Challenge 104 Ice Cream. The gorgeous high quality printed images are from The House Across the Bay and I had so much fun playing with the pretty shoes!
The card measures 5" x 7" cut from white Colorbok cardstock. The pink polka dot paper is a scrap piece from K&Company Sweet Nectar Specialty Paper Pad.
Cuttlebug: The white paper is embossed with one of the Cuttlebug Love's in the Air embossing set. I found these on clearance at Hobby Lobby. Yay for those clearance sales!
Cricut Cartridge is Mother's Day Bouquet. Flower is cut at 1.5" and 1.75".
Other supplies include Recollection heart gemstones to accent the hearts in the embossing. The pretty white lace is a gift from my design team sister Charlotte which I used to frame the digital image. White bow is 3 Girl Jam crinkled ribbon. Pop-dots are used under the digital image to add dimension.
I thought of framing this project but did not have a suitable frame available--but I will shop for one!

Welcome to Glenda's Cards
I have been wanting to make a Napkin Fold card using reds and purples! Of course, it is for a Red Hat Lady! When I saw the current challenge at Just Rite Inspiration is to use more than one fold on a card, I got busy!
The card begins with a 12" x 12" piece of red Recollections paper. Purple paper is Bazzill and the purple check is Recollections. The paper inside the card is DCWV Posies Glitter print. Choosing where to use the different papers took awhile, but I am pleased with the results!
I followed the tutorial at Splitcoaststampers. The paper is scored at 3" and 9", then turn the paper. Score again at 3" and 9". Now the fun begins with all the folding! Check out the tutorial and video for the complete instructions.

Inside of the card!

Spellbinders Nestabilities:
Eyelet Circles - Sentiment circles on the band. Blossom for the small floral mat on the band.
Label 10 - Sentiment mats on the inside of the card.
Just Rite Spellbinders - Corners
Just Rite Stamps: Old Friends Set on the band. Nested Sentiments on the inside. I am still learning to work with stamps!
Martha Stewart: Flower Shower Punch Around the Page set. Also the fern greenery...I do not know that name.
Cricut Cartridge: Lacy Labels. The rolled rose is on Heart3 which is the 4th image from the right on the last row. The rose is cut using the layer feature and cut at 12". I know that sounds really large but you see the finished size. This is my first time trying a rolled rose-- need more practice, but I am liking these flowers
Recollections gemstones, pop-dots on the band, white ribbon from stash. Color Box lilac and Versa Magic Gingerbread inking.

Close-up of the front of the band that wraps around the card.

Challenges:
Just Rite - Ch. 080 More Than One Fold

Hope you enjoy this Napkin Fold card and are inspired to try one too! This is a bulky card so it needs a box or may be hand delivered.

Thanks for your comments!

BBTB2 - All Shaped Up

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is time for another fun and inspirational Cricut challenge at BBTB2!. Our talented design team sister Stephanie asked us to make a shaped card. Use any Cricut cartridge and any theme.
I thought this would be a good opportunity for me to play with Damask Decor and try one of the card features with the shaped front! I used Martha Stewart Holidays double-sided papers that were in my scrap stash.
Cricut Cartridges:
Damask Decor - Page 70 - Card feature is cut at 5.5" in  CCR. Layer 1 is the dark green paper under the tree. The completed card measures 5.5" x 3.5". An envelope image is also available but I have not cut it yet.
Christmas/Noel - Seasons Greetings is cut .75" for the inside of the card.

Inside of card!

This is a simple card but I do like the results. Most of my actual time was spent on choosing which double-sided papers to use. But I always take a lot time choosing my papers! Maybe if I would quit buying papers, I would not have too many choices!

Be sure to visit BBTB2 and see all the pretty and creative card shapes by the design team. For more information on the projects, please visit the individual blogs! We love your comments!
We are looking forward to seeing your creations! Remember you must use the Cricut! Just a reminder that our challenges run for only one week so get crafting! One person would be chosen to receive the Project of the Week award!

Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate your comments!

My Sheri Crafts - Last Day to Wear White

Welcome  to Glenda's Cards

Are you ready for another fun challenge at My Sheri Cards! With Labor Day traditionally being the last day to wear white, our design team sister Sarah challenges us to use White on White. Of course this can be a card or any project as long as it is white on white.
My card measures 5" x 6 1/2 " cut from Colorbox white paper. Would you believe that I did not use any Cricut cuts on this card!
Cuttlebug -  Madison folder. This is a 5x7 folder that I found on clearance at Hobby Lobby recently. I embossed a piece of white paper and layered it on the card front.
Cheery Lynn - French Pastry Doily Die was used for the scallop mat.
Martha Stewart - Lace Scallop Heart. I punched out three hearts to give it dimension--no room to use a pop-dot.
Recollections - White pearls  and 3 Girls Jam Crinkle Ribbon.

That is my white on white card. I am pleased with the looks of the card. I did not add a sentiment on the front of the card, but I am thinking it will be a needed anniversary card.

Be sure to stop by My Sheri Crafts and see all the beautiful projects by the design team and our guest designer. For more details on our projects, please visit the individual blogs. We appreciate your comments!
Now it is your turn to make a white on white card or project and enter the challenge. Several Ooh La La awards will be given and one person will be chosen to be our next guest designer!

BBTB2 - Back to School

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is time again for another fun and inspirational Cricut challenge at BBTB2! Our talented design team member Brenda is the hostess for our Back to School challenge. You can use any Cricut cartridge for your card, layout, or project, as long as it is about going back to school! We ask that you mention the name of the Cricut cartridges used for your project in your blog post.

For my project, I decided to do a scrapbook page. Earlier in the year, I received a DCWV Assorted Open Stock paper pack entitled School Days. This page is Foil Learning Tree from that pack. I thought Cricut cuts would accent the cute apple tree and the letters around it which are printed on the designer paper. It is not very noticeable in the photo, but the apples are a red foil paper.
Cricut Cartridges:
Wrap it Up- Page 27  School house card is cut 6.50". While cutting some school house images for an earlier posted project, I cut two cards giving me the extra card for this project.
Nate's ABC's - Page 22 Bus cut 1.50". Page 68 Pencil cut 2.5". Page 49 - Grass is cut 2". The letters A, B, C and numbers 1, 2, 3 are cut at 1".
Celebrate with Flourish - Back to School is cut 2".

Photo of the inside of the card! I will add a photo of my grandson who started the second grade and the journalling later. I do not have the photo yet.

Other supplies: The Paper Studio ribbon...looks like it need ironing!
Transparent photo corners are used on the back part of the schoolhouse card. I did not glue it down on the page.
Versa Magic Gingerbread inking.

BBTB2 - Vacation

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is time for another fun challenge at BBTB2! Our talented Carole is hostess for this challenge and she chose Vacation. Use any Cricut cartridge to feature a vacation/holiday. Starting today with this challenge, each challenge will run for only one week.

I have not taken a vacation yet this year, but I wanted to play along with my newest Cricut cartridge. Recently Michael's had Cricut cartridges on sale and my nearest store had only one of the Wild Card 2 cartridges. I spent a Christmas gift card for the purchase. Would you believe that I have held a gift card that long!

Cricut Cartridge:
Wild Card 2 - Page 54 - Camper is cut 4.25" using the card feature and shadow. Main cuts and the layer feature were also cut at the same size. Using papers from my scrap stash, the plaid makes a fun little camper.

For the inside of the card, I used Phrase and Phrase layer features cut at 2". Home Is Where You Are!
Cuttlebug: Distressed Stripes
Other supplies include Versa Magic gingerbread inking, white Gelly Roll pen and gold stickles.

Picture of the envelope
Working in the Cricut Craft Room, I was unable to hide the cut marks for the fold lines. These are simple folds and really do not need a cut mark. Maybe CCR can work this out soon.

Visit BBTB2 to see all the fun and creative projects by the design team. For more information about a project, visit the individual blogs!  We love your visits and comments!
Now it is your turn to play along with us! Remember this is a Cricut challenge and the theme image must be cut with the Cricut. Please mention in your blogpost which cartridge you used.
Just a reminder - You have a week left to enter our elephant challenge if you have not done so!
We look forward to see what you create!

Thanks for your visits and comments!

My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 92 Back to School

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Where did summer go? Time for school days already!
Challenge 92 theme this week at My Sheri Crafts is "Back to School"! Our talented design team sister Raquel asked us to create any project related to a school theme.

Cricut Cartridges:
Wrap It Up - This cartridge has great creative features including a card, box, and tag. I used the card and box features.
Page 27 - Card feature is cut 6 .50". The card feature on shift does not include layering so I used the main school images and layer features to achieve my look.
Page 27- Box is cut at 11". Working in the Cricut Craft Room, I also used the main keys and layering keys to finish the box. It is a cute little treat box or maybe container for small school supplies such as paper clips or colors.
The phrase on  the school house page is School's Out so that would not work!
3 Birds on Parade
Page 60 - Phrase "School days". I did not record the size.

Other supplies include pop dots for the phrase, inking, and white Gelly roll pen.

Visit My Sheri Crafts to see all the fun and creative projects by the design team and our guest designer for the week. For more information on the projects, please visit our individual blogs. We do appreciate your visits and comments on our blogs!
Now it is your turn to play along with us! We look forward to seeing your Back to School projects. Remember several Ooh la la awards will be given and one person will be chosen to be our next guest designer!

BBTB2 - Elephantly Speaking

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Hope you had a great weekend! Are you ready for another fun Cricut challenge at BBTB2! Our talented design team sister Shelly chose Elephantly Speaking- use an elephant from any cartridge on your card, layout or project.
My card measures 5" x 6 1/2" white cardstock. The birthday paper is The Paper Studio Birthday Extravaganza Paper pad. All the papers were in my scrap stack.
Cricut cartridge:
Celebrate With Flourish - I really like the cuts on this cartridge! The elephant is wearing a cute party hat and I thought the cut would be good for a birthday card.  Elephant is cut 3.5".
Of course, I needed a balloon! The balloon is cut at 2.5" and is wrapped under the tail of the elephant.
Other supplies:
3 Girl Jam ribbon,  pop-dots on the elephant and balloon, and a little wiggle eye.

Be sure to visit BBTB2 and check out all the cute and inspiring elephant projects by the design team. For more information on the projects, visit the individual blogs. We appreciate your visits and comments!
Now it is your turn to play along with us! Remember this is a Cricut challenge and you must use an elephant cut on your project. Please mention in your blogpost which cartridge was used.

Just a reminder, you still have a week to play along with our "Fly Away" challlenge. You must use a hot air balloon or an airplane if you do not have a hot air balloon cut.

BBTB2 - Fly Away

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is Monday again and time for another fun and inspirational challenge at BBTB2! Our talented design team sister Jeri is the hostess this week and she chose the challenge Fly Away. We are asked to use a hot air balloon or if you do not have a cartridge with one, you can use an airplane!
I did an image search in the Cricut Craft Room and quickly discovered that I had only one cartridge with a hot air balloon. That is Victorian Romance cartridge. I know the cartridge is more of a Valentine theme, but I choose to make a "love you" or anniversary card.
Card is 5" x 6 1/2" cut from Bazzill Ruby Slipper. Musical paper is from Hobby Lobby. Do you remember the song Up, Up, and Away in my beautiful balloon. Well, I have been singing the song while making the card (and each time I look at the card), so I thought the musical background would work well! Now are you singing it too!
Cricut Cartridges:
Victorian Romance - Hot air balloon is cut 3.75".
Sweethearts - Page 35 Couple is cut 1.375". I chose to cut the image in black for a silhouette effect.
Elegant Edges - Page 41 Oblong feature for the white and red mats...needed more hearts! I used the cut out white hearts for the card corners.
Plantin Schoolbook- Letters for Up Up & Away cut .75 from white and red paper using the main and shift images.
Cuttlebug: Swiss Dots
Other supplies include 3Girl Jam ribbon, pop-dots on the mats, red rhinestones in the corner, and red inking.

Stop by BBTB2 and see all the gorgeous creations by the design team! For more details, please visit each individual blog! Don't forget to leave a little love- we appreciate your visits and love comments too!
Now it is your turn to play along with us! Remember this is a Cricut challenge and the specified image must be a Cricut cut. It can be from any Cricut cartridge. We look forward to seeing what you create using a hot air balloon or airplane if you do not have the balloon cut.

Thanks for your visits and comments!

Vacation Time

For My Sheri Crafts design team post, please click here or scroll down!

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing a card that was inspired by the Papercraft Star challenge. The challenge is to use a map on your project. I found the map paper in my scrap box and decided to go with a travel theme. Some of my family are enjoying a week at the beach...another fun vacation before school starts again.
Card is 6 1/2 x 5" cut from a blue Colorbok cardstock. All papers are from the scrap box! I have been trying to use more scrap papers, but I still have a big stash!
Cricut Cartridges:
Pack Your Bags: Page 23 Car is cut 2.25".
Page 22 Phrase "Are we there yet?" is cut 1.75".
It is quite a long drive from my area to the beach and I know my grandkids asked that question several times! I just had to use it for the inside of the card.
Phrases - Page 51 Phrase "Vacation Time" is cut 2.25".
Sweethearts- Page 74 White mat on inside of the card is cut 3.75. This was a cut that was not needed for a previous project.

Other supplies include yellow buttons from my stash on the wheels. Both the car and the phrase are pop-dotted for added dimension. VersaMagic Gingerbread inking.
