Christmas Ornament using Joys of the Season Candy

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I wanted to participate in the new challenge blog Exploring Cricut. For this week's challenge they are using the Cricut Celebrations cartridge and the candy image on page 111. It is mentioned that a similar image is on Christmas Cheer. I was beginning to think that I could not play along but I remembered Joys of the Season has a candy image too. I hope it is ok to use a different cartridge than the ones specified. I am sharing my project with you!
I am exploring the ornament feature in Joys of the Season. I think the different ornaments would make cute little stocking stuffers or gifts for those special teachers and co-workers.
Page 47 - Candy image. I used the ornament feature on shift and cut the pink paper at 3.25". All the cuts are same size.
Page 79 - Ornament feature and regular key, I cut a piece of vellum to show behind the pink paper and a piece of white cardstock to layer behind the vellum. I used the white cardstock because the candy paper is double sided and it would have been seen through the vellum.
Using the Ornament feature with the shift key, I cut the pretty candy patterned paper.
Using the regular main image, I cut the ornament again in the candy pattened paper for the backside.
Stamp on back is Christmas Crafts from Michael's. Added lots of inking and a green braid for a hanger.

Hope you enjoy! Here is a link to a previous card that I used the candy cut on. Hopefully it will inspire you to try the cute candy cut!

My Sheri Crafts- Challenge 72 - All About Sports

It is time for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts and a big welcome to our new design team members! Challenge #72 is All About Sports..create a card/project with a sports related theme. I made a card for my little football player- Number 24! He was a big help and selected the image to use.
My card is 5" x 6 1/2" and is cut from yellow cardstock.
Cricut cartridge is All Sports. This is my first time to use this cartridge and it has some great looking sports images.
Page 33 - Football player is cut at 4" using all the layers. I am using colors to represent the school. Can you believe these 4th graders played football wearing white pants--well, they started the game in white pants!! I
decided to give the little guy blue pants!!
Page 63 - Phrase image is cut 5 1/4" on shift using white cardstock. Phrase layer is also cut at 5 1/4" using the black cardstock. I am pleased with the results of this cut and the size fit on the card. It took awhile for the Cricut to cut it, but it took me longer to remove the excess pieces off the mat!!
Lot of inking on the football player and the image is pop-dotted on the mat.

Now it is your turn to play along and show us your sports related projects! Visit My Sheri Crafts and say hello to the new design team members. You will find lots of great inspiration! Remember our challenges run for two weeks and the deadline is midnight CST Nov. 11. We look forward to seeing your projects. One person will be selected to be the next guest designer and several Ooo-La-La awards are chosen! How fun is that!!

Hope you enjoy my card! My grandson loves it! One day I will incorporate this card on a football scrapbook page for him! Just another way of keeping the card!

Colors of Fall

Hi and thanks for your visit! I love the colors of Fall and enjoy making cards with a Fall theme. I was excited to receive the Cricut Simply Scarecrow cartridge so of course I had to choose a scarecrow for my card! Card is 5" x 6 1/2" and layered with same size patterned paper.
Cricut cartridges:
Simply Scarecrow-- Lady scarecrow is cut 4". Crow is 1.75". Three images of the crow are available on this cut but I used only the larger one. Fall is cut 1.25". These cuts were done on the Expression2.
Wrap It Up - Page 45 - Fence is cut 4 3/4". My first cuts of the fence and grass were 5" which put the fence a bit too wide for the card. I resized and cut 4 3/4" for the fence, but used the 5" cut for the grass.
Stretch Your Imagination - Page 44 - Pumpkins cut 1 1/2" and 1" using the blackout function.
Page 48 - Leaves were cut using varying sizes.
Cuttlebug:
Distressed Stripes on the fence and  Divine Swirls on the pumpkins!
I used lots of inking, 1/8" and 1/4" pop dots for the dimension, buttons, and raffia for the bows.

Challenges:
Celebrate the Occasion - Ch 36 Fall
Cooking With Cricut - Ch 57 Scarecrow, Hay, Crows and sketches.
Paper Playtime - Ch 58 Say It With Sentiment, and use buttons and bows
2 Sisters Challenge - Pumpkin Patch -must include a pumpkin

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge 83 - Spooky Time

Hi and thanks for stopping by today. Today begins a new fun challenge at Fantabulous Cricut! Challenge 83 is Spooky Time and we are to make a project with a ghost on it.
My card is 5" x 6 1/2" white cardstock and is layered with a 4 3/4" x 6 1/4" patterned paper. The paper pad is K&Company Tim Coffey Halloween and Fall. I chose the candy paper for the background to use with my little treat or treater ghost.
Cricut cartridge is 3 Birds on Parade. The little ghost is on page 39 and is cut at 3 1/4". The green mat is cut 3 3/4" x 3 7/8" and is embossed with the Cuttlebug Polka Dot folder. I have lots of dots going on! The polka dot paper is cut at 3 3/4" x 4 and angled on the background.
For more interest, I added a strand of fibers, inking, and pop-dots. The fibers were in blog candy that I won..Thanks Theresa! I have not used any of this before so I glued it down in spots. It seems to be staying in position. I really like the looks of it on the card. If anyone has suggestions on using these threads and how to attach differently, please let me know!
Also, the little ghost bird is on an Action Wobble. He is so cute when he wobbles!
Now it is your turn to play with us at Fantabulous Cricut. First be sure to check out the great projects by the design team. Remember you must use a Cricut cut. We look forward to seeing all your amazing projects!
