My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 185 Down at the Beach

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

We are back with another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts. Our talented design team sister Sue has chosen the theme for Ch. 185 Down at the Beach. She asked that we make a project with a beach, seaside theme. Looking through recently added images in Cricut Design Space, I chose to do this beach chair set using pink, purple and white papers.

Cricut Cartridges:
Crazy Cute Cards - Beach Day Card is cut 21.01" x 23.45". Because this is my first time to use the images, I viewed the online handbook for the measurements and instructions. This size includes the chair, beach bag, and envelope. Finished size for envelope measures 5.5". I tried to follow the pictures for assembling the chair. I think it is done correctly--looks ok to me!
Summer Love - Beach Sign is cut 4.5" wide.
When I Was a Kid - Beach Day is cut 4.50" wide. This is used inside the beach bag. I left space for a personal note.

Bunny Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

After making a little Cricut time, I have an Easter card to share today. Card is cut from white card stock using a Cricut card image and measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". Solid papers are from the scrap stash. Patterned papers used inside the card are DCWV Fresh Floral Stack. I think the papers do well for Spring and Easter colors!

Cricut Cartridges:
Simple Holiday Cards - Bunny card is cut 8.5" wide x 5.5" high. I really like the bunny shape cut into the egg. Of course, I added more Cricut images for a little more personalized look.
When I Was a Kid - Corner Flourish is cut 2.1" wide x 2.2" high. All four corners are included in this size.
Splendid Soiree- Bow on rabbit is cut 1.00" wide.
Holiday Cakes - Happy Easter is cut 3.5" wide. This is used inside the card.

I added two small yellow buttons in the upper corners. Twine is from a recent win from Diana at DL.ART. Thanks Diana for the pretty twine colors!

Happy Birthday Red, White, and Blue

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!
Happy 4th of July!
I had time to make another red, white and blue card! This card will be used as a birthday card. I chose to make a center step card. The tutorial can be found at SplitCoaster Stampers. The card begins with a 5 1/2" x 11" piece of red Recollection card stock. I layered with a blue star patterned paper by The Paper Studio. Other papers are from my scrap stash.

Cricut Cartridges:
When I was a Kid - Banner is cut 4.25" wide.
Wild Card - Celebrate is cut 2.75" wide.

Cuttlebug Folders and Dies:
Disney Take the Cake - Cake and gift cut from red paper and then embossed. Cake and gift are pop-dotted on card.

When Life Gives You Lemons

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing a double twisted easel card! The tutorial for this card can be found at SplitCoastStampers The card begins with an 8 inch square of cardstock for the foundation. The pretty patterned paper is from the Paper Studio Country Road. White paper is Colorbok textured paper. This card folds so that it will fit into a business size envelope.
I have made several double twisted easel cards before but it has been a long time. Just wanted to have fun with something different!

Cricut Cartridges:
Just Because - Glass of lemonade is cut 1.35" wide; Phrase "When life gives you lemons" is cut 4.75" wide using the white cardstock over a pink patterned paper. The phrase mat is pop-dotted on the card to hold the two side elements in place when the card is opened.
Paisley - Lemon is cut 1.75" wide.
Splendid Soirees - Doily is cut 3.25" wide. I cut two white doilies, each is layered over yellow.
When I Was a Kid - Corner flourish is cut 1.75" wide from white and layered over yellow.

Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder is used on the lemon and the lemonade for a little texture.

To complete the look, I used small pink buttons and crinkle ribbon bows. I made a small green bow from DMC Memory Thread and formed little hearts to represent "loving lemonade in the summer time"!

Music card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I was able to play with my Cricut Explore this afternoon after several days of being away from home. My Mom had knee replacement last Tuesday and I stayed at the hospital with her. Surgery went well and she is improving daily. She is now doing more therapy closer to our home.
I missed playing along with some of my favorite challenges last week. This card is 5" x 6 1/2" cut from green cardstock. Patterned papers are The Paper Studio Girls Live to Rock.

Cricut Cartridges:
Elegant Edges - Circle Frame is cut 3" wide from a yellow sheet of the Paper Studio pad. There are shades of yellow on the frame. Because I wanted to place the frame on the patterned mat, I handcut the pink paper for the black out of the frame.
Nifty Fifties - Record group is cut 2.25"h. Cuttlebug Script folder is used on the small yellow piece on the record for a little dimension...not seen well in my photo.
When I Was a Kid - I (heart) music is cut 2.25" w. Music scale at top of card is cut 1.45" w. Music Note on right hand side of card is cut 1"h.

Challenges:
BBTB2 - Cricut Frame
Die Cuttin Divas - Ch. 208 Music in our Schools--Project with music in mind

Hope you enjoy this bright, cheery, musical card! Thanks for your visits!
