My Sheri Crafts - Ch 89 Picture This

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Yay! It was a short work week and Saturday is here! Time for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts! Challenge 89 is Picture This! Our talented design team sister Sandy chose this week's theme and asked us to use the above picture as inspiration for our projects! These are pretty colors and several things came to mind including picnics, parties, and foods! I chose to use a strawberry!
Using Cricut Craft Room and the Cricut Country Life cartridge, I tried welding for a shaped card. The strawberry is on page 56. Using the shadow feature, I welded two shadow images on the side for the shaped card. The cut was 4.75". Regular cuts and layers were cut at same size to finish the card.
Cuttlebug: Swiss Dots on the strawberry
Spellbinders: Nested Sentiment Dies
Just Rite Stamps: Myriad Pro 50 pt. for the word Sweet
Paper Studio gemstone flower brad, Sew Easy fancy floss for the bow, and Versa Magic gingerbread inking.
Photo of inside of card. Sentiment will be added later. Maybe a cute birthday card!

Patriotic Triple Twisted Easel Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Happy 4th of July! Hope everyone has enjoyed a fun day! I had crafting time and was able to work on a card for some fun Patriotic challenges. I have not had much time to participate in challenges lately and I enjoyed working on this card!
The card is my first triple twisted easel card. Searching on You Tube, I found a video by alissandme who shares great instructions on making this card. The card is made from a 8 1/2" x 11" white cardstock. It is scored and folded down the center at the 4 1/4" mark. For all the details, view the video. Several videos are available on You Tube.
Patterned papers are Recollections and most of the solid papers are from the scrap stash.

Cricut Cartridges: Working in Cricut Craft Room
Independence Day - Looks like I was trying to showcase this cartridge because of the many cuts I used.
Flag- cut 1.75", Firework2 cut at 2.5", Liberty Bell cut 2.75", Banner1 (half-circle) cut 1.5", Banner4 cut 2". Two of these were cut to use as the stops for the side panels. Freedom cut .875".
Wild Card
Page 59 - Star was cut 3.75 from vellum for the middle panel. I did not want to hide all the patterned paper. Red and blue star was cut 1.75". Phrase Celebrate was cut 4.25".
There are no shadow cuts available for the two words that I used so I hand cut a shadow for the words...something I did for scrapbooking before I heard of a Cricut machine!
Cuttlebug:
Star folder was used on the red and blue star.
Other supplies include Pop dots for the Cricut cuts, 3 Girl Jam ribbons, and Versa Magic gingerbread ink.

BBTB2 - Sun Challenge

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Happy Monday! Time for another fun and inspirational Cricut challenge at BBTB2! Our talented design team sister Susanne is hostess this week and she chose "Here Comes The Sun". We are ask to use a Cricut sun to celebrate Summer! The sun can be from any Cricut cartrige and you may do a card, layout, or a 3D project!
My card is 5" x 6 1/2" white cardstock. I was happy to find the tropical paper in my scrap paper stash and was inspired to make this little beach scene. All my papers are from the scrap stash.

Cricut Cartridge: Pack Your Bags
Page 44 - Phrase cut 1.25" 80 degrees and Sunny. Of course, it is much hotter at my home!
Page 67 - Beach scene cut 4.25".
Page 30 - Stamp cut 1". Such a cute little sandcastle!
Cuttlebug:
Divine Swirls - Water
Swiss Dots - Sand
Textile - Umbrella
Floral Fantasy - Little flower on the sandbucket
Spellbinders M-Bossabilities - Flora Reversible Folder- Design B. These are pretty and economical folders because you get two designs. I do cut these with my Cuttlebug. After embossing,  I used the reverse side of the design on the top of the card. I like the looks of the indented leaves with the tropical background paper.

Visit BBTB2 to see all the lovely Sun projects by the talented design team. For more information on the projects, please visit the individual blogs and leave a little love! We love your visits and comments!
Now it is time for you to play along! Remember you must include a Cricut Sun on your project. We look forward to seeing your pretty projects! One project will be selected to receive the Project of the Week badge. It could be you!
