Day 13 - Valentines Cone Boxes

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I have been playing with more pretty K&Company double-sided Valentine papers. I enjoy working on Valentine's Day cards and projects!

Cricut cartridges:
Victorian Romance - Cone box is cut 8.25"h.
Sweethearts - Love heart tag is cut 2.5"h.

The cone boxes and heart layers are quickly cut with the Cricut Explore. The machine also cuts out the intricate cuts very well! The score marks for folding are not easily seen on patterned paper, but I managed the fold.

I made several of the cone boxes which will be used for treat boxes. I added candy inside each box and some of the boxes have pencils added too. I decided not to add the little love tag on all the boxes. Some boxes are for adults and some are for children.

Day 12 - Valentines

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing another Valentine card. Now this is my type of Valentines--pinks and chocolates!! Images are cut using the Cricut Explore and Design Space. The card is white cardstock and measures 5" x 6 1/2". The pretty chocolate candy patterned paper is from K&Company Cupid Speciality paper pad. I love K&Company double-sided paper. All the Valentine paper that I have been using is some that I have had for a few years and I have plenty more Valentine paper!

Cricut Cartridges:
Valentine's Sweets digital set - Box of chocolates cut 3.25"h.This is one of those images that I just had to have--knew it would work good with the paper. Have you ever bought something just to use on one certain paper!!
Elegant Edges - White and pink mats. Love the cut out hearts on this image. Mat was cut 4"h.
Doodlecharms - Heart charm. This image is found on page 85 of handbook. I cut it at 1.75"h.

I am still trying to learn new things about the Explore. For the heart charm, I used the word box, Cricut Alphabet and Cricut wine pen to write the word Love on the white heart. I think it turned out good!

To attach the heart charm, I attached memory thread to the heart, formed a heart with the thread and wrapped it around the pink gemstone. EK corner punch was used for the corner papers.

Inside of card.
Cricut Valentine's Sweets was used for Happy Valentine's Day seen inside the card. Can you see that it is four layers to this image? The chocolate candy on the white mat was part of the Valentine's Sweet box of chocolate.

I really like the way this card turned out! Hope you enjoy!

Day 9 - Valentines

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

This card is made using Cricut Valentine's Day cartridge. The pretty patterned paper is K&Company paper pad. I like the way this card turned out using the pink and green together. I did not record the actual cutting size of the card but it measures 4 1/8" x 5 3/8". An envelope is also available with the card image but I did not cut it.

Inside of card.

Be My Valentine is written on the card using the Cricut Design Space and the Metallic Silver pen that was included with the Cricut Explore purchase. I like the easy writing feature on the Cricut Explore. A white mat was handcut so a sentiment can be written.

Hope you enjoy this card!

Day 8 -Valentines

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I have been trying to share a daily Valentine post. Just now getting Day 7 and Day 8 that I did not get posted over the weekend.
This is another one of those not so typical Valentine's Day Card. This card was made for my granddaughter using colors that she likes. Card is cut using Cricut Design Space and Cricut Creative Everyday Cards. I used green cardstock for the card and envelope.

Inside of card.

Cricut Valentine's Cards cartridge was used for the heart with word. Two shades of purple were cut. I used the Cuttlebug Hearts folder on the lighter shade heart. Valentine was written with the Cricut Pen Violet Metallic.
Cricut Holiday Cakes cartridge was again used for Happy Valentine's Day.
Small white hearts are leftover from another cut out project.
Oops, I forgot to take photo of the envelope..

My granddaughter has already seen this card and loves it!

Thanks for your visit!

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I have been working on more Valentine's Day cards. I know you may look at this card and think what!! My younger grandsons are into sports! One ball season ends and they will be busy with another ball season. Both guys really love baseball so I chose a baseball theme for their cards this year. They look for money inside the card anyway!
Cards measures 5.5" x 4.25" cut from blue and yellow cardstock. I was trying to use school colors for the cards.

Cricut cartridge:
All Sports - Play Ball is cut 4.5" width. Strike with bat image is cut 5." width.
Holiday Cake - Happy Valentines Day
Victorian Romance - Be My Valentine

Inside of cards.
