My Sheri Crafts Ch# 73 - Be Thankful

Happy Saturday and welcome to Glenda's Cards! It is time for a fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts. Our challenge is to create a card/project with a Thanksgiving or Thank You theme. With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, my card is to celebrate the holiday. I have truly been blessed in my life and very thankful for God's love, forgiveness and salvation,  Family, and Friends.
This card is a Twisted Easel and if you are unfamiliar with this card style, I am including a link to Mary's tutorial at Cardz TV.  Thanks Mary for sharing your great video! This card style is not hard to make and I encourage you to try it!
The 4 1/4 X 9 3/4 card base is cut from the Paper Studio Earthtone Cardstock Pack. The front of the card is layered with a patterned paper from K&Company Tim Coffey Halloween and Fall pack.
Cricut Cartridges:
Cricut Lite Celebrate with Flourish - Cornucopia is cut 2 1/4". To add more color, I cut the Layer image in green and purple plus the brown. This cartridge has cute images, but only has one layer plus the layer on shift feature, so you do not get many colors.
Giving Thanks is cut 2 1/4".
Heritage - Corner accent #9 page 62. Oops, I do not see the recorded size!
Stretch Your Imagination- Brown leaf is an extra cut from a previous project.
Cuttlebug folders:
Birds and Swirls - Green leaf
Swiss dots - Grapes
Divine Swirls- Pumpkin
Houndstooth - Brown cornucopia

I have seen so many pretty and unique rosettes on projects lately that I just had to give the rosettes a try. The rosette in the corner is 1" x 12" and is scored at each 1/4 mark using the Martha Stewart scoreboard. After the valley/mountain folding, I glued it to a cardstock circle. I added a yellow leaf button with a raffia bow in the center of the rosette.

Visit My Sheri Crafts to see all the pretty inspirational projects by the design team. We look forward to seeing your projects. Remember you must use the Thanksgiving or Thank you theme and link your project by midnight central time Nov. 26. One lucky winner will be the next guest designer at My Sheri Crafts!

Challenges:
Bitten by the Bug 2 - Heritage- corner accent 9

Cooking With Cricut - Ch 59 Fruits, Cornucopia or a Harvest theme

Fantabulous Cricut Ch# 85 Book Lover

Welcome to Glenda's Cards! It is time for another fun challenge at Fantabulous Cricut! I am so excited to be returning as a design team member for this next term. Thank you Robin and Amy Jo! I want to welcome the new design team members! I look forward to working with each of you. Now to our challenge--Challenge 85 is Book Lover. This can be a book, a project with a book on it, or a bookmark.

I found a cute group of books on Cricut Wrap It Up cartridge on page 57. I chose to make the little box. Using the Box feature, I cut the image at 9 1/4" from a sheet of blue cardstock! For the book layers, I used Design Studio and determined it needed to be cut at 2 5/8" to fit the box properly. I cut the Books images and also the Layer images from four different colors of cardstock. These layers were glued together and then glued on the box. Quite a colorful group of books! I cut a small piece from a sheet protector and glued it inside the box behind the cut out opening.

Using the phrase feature on the same page, I cut the mat and "You made it" at 2 1/4". To add the color blue, I cut the mat again at 2 1/2". This is not a perfect shadow, but it works for me!
I think the little box turned out cute. I will make another box and will give them to my grandsons on report card day! I think it will be a nice little treat holder. Another suggestion is little gift boxes for teachers.

Now it is your turn to play along with us! Be sure to visit FCCB and see all the amazing projects that the design team has created for inspiration! Remember you will need to follow the theme and as always, add a Cricut cut to your project! Deadline for entering is midnight November 13.

Hope you enjoy this little project and are inspired to try this fun Cricut cut!

Pumpkin Card Using Damask Decor

I am playing again with Cricut Damask Decor. This time I chose the pretty cut for the pumpkin. Card is 5" x 6 1/2" and is layered with a plaid K&Comapny paper. This image can be found on page 68. I used the main images, Layer 1, and Layer 2 cut at 4 1/4".
I received the Cricut Straight from the Nest cartridge yesterday and thought I would try one of the corner features. The Fall corner is found on page 76 and is cut at 1 1/2".
I used lots of inking, pop-dotted the pumpkin image, and added a bow from Harvest Crafts ribbon.

Challenges:
Celebrate the Occcasion - Ch 37 - Fall and must have a pumpkin
The Shabby Tea Room - Ch 86 - Homespun Fall - colors and photo inspiration

Hope you enjoy my card. I appreciate your comments!
