Chocolate Candy

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Who loves candy, especially Chocolate Candy! Inspired by the challenge at BBTB2, I made this candy card. The card is cut from white cardstock and measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".  Looking for paper, I came across this pretty pink and brown page and thought it would be a good choice for the chocolate candy.

Cricut Cartridge:
9 Months - Chocolate candy is cut 1.83" wide x 2.4" high. Candy Bar is pop-dotted on the heart.
Using the Insert Shape feature in Cricut Design Space, the white heart is cut 3.50" wide. The pink heart is cut 3.68" wide. I offset the white heart so no pink would show at the top.

Spellbinders M-Bossabilities Hearts is used on the white heart.
The sentiment is from Cardz TV Mixed Messages set. I thought the sentiment would be perfect for the card! Thank you Mary for this beautiful stamp set!

Birthday/Kid

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Playing along with a few challenges, I chose to use the pretty sketch at the new sketch challenge blog Paper Play Sketches. My card is white cardstock and measures 5" x 6 1/2". Patterned papers and the red paper are from a 8" x  8" Me&My Big Ideas scrapbook kit that I have had for years. Cake and gift stickers are also from the kit -- trying to use some of my older scrapping supplies.

Cricut Cartridges:
Just A Note - Birthday Rabbit is cut 3" high.
The Few First Years - White circle/red circle mat is cut 4".
Birthday Bash - Happy Birthday flag is cut 2.25" high. The Cricut Explore cut the words at this size really well.
Cuttlebug:
Happy Birthday folder is used on the white mat. Swiss dots is used on the balloon.

Happy Birthday

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Needing a birthday card, I was excited to play with a recently purchased Cricut Anna Griffin cartridge.

Cricut Cartridge:
Anna's Lovely Layered Cards - Using Cricut Design Space, Olivia Lace Banner Card is cut 21" wide x 12.26" high. This size does include the envelope. The card will measure 5" x 7" when folded.
Using the text box, I added the Happy Birthday sentiment on the card front.
Anna's Flourish Cards & Embellishments  - Perfect Days Sentiment was used for the inside of the card.

Inside the card

While I was playing with the papers, I made a second card using the lavender paper as the more prominent color. The sentiment Just For You is also on the Anna's Lovely Layered Cards. Just by switching up the paper colors, two different cards! Now I have a second birthday card!

I really like the pretty Anna Griffin images/sentiments and the results of this card!

Valentine - Bow Favor Box

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Happy Valentine's Day! I have been busy again making more treat boxes. The pretty double-sided patterned paper is K&Company Circus Valentine.

Cricut Cartridges:
Anna Griffin Splendid Soirees - Bow Favor Box is cut 11.50" wide x 4.65" high. When completed this box measures 2 3/4" wide x 2 7/8" high. This was cut at the largest size for a 12" Cricut mat.
I like how the bow is cut out of the box so that it stands out. I used the reverse side of the patterned paper for the bow.
Valentine's Day - Tag is cut 1.75" wide. Pen work is made with the Cricut Midnight pen.

For the sentiment I used Smile from Mary's CardzTV Mixed Messages Stamps. To attach the tag to the bow, I used DMC Memory thread for the bow. The candy is placed in a bag and tried with ribbon.
I smile when I see chocolates--how about you!
