Cricut Kitsch Snowman

Welcome to Glenda's Cards

I am back with another Christmas card! Playing along with a few challenges, the front of the card is mostly white. The card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". White Colorbok cardstock is used. I have problems with taking a photograph of a white card. Not sure if the camera/operator did well with this one.

Cricut Cartridges:
Christmas Kitsch - Snowman Simple Cut is cut at 2.88" wide 4.50" high. For the layer, I used a scrap of light blue patterned paper from Recollections Happy Holidays. I added a little inking on the snowman. Snowman is pop dotted on the card.
Cuttlebug - Sledding folder is used on the base mat of the card.

Inside of the card!

For the inside, I added a bit of color with the patterned paper from Happy Holidays paper pad. Merry Christmas which is also found on Christmas Kitsch cartridge is cut 3.75" wide. Love the font!
A simple card but I think it turned out nicely.

Decorating with the Greens

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

December has arrived and I have been working on a few Christmas cards! Card is 5" x 6 1/2"white card stock. Patterned background paper is from K&Company EB Visions of Christmas paper pad. These papers are so pretty and sometimes I hate to cut pretty papers. I chose this paper to give a night time look for the card. Solid papers are from my scrap stash. Gold papers are a shiny paper.

Cricut Cartridges:
Christmas/Noel - This is one of my favorite Christmas cartridges! There are so many pretty images.
The main focus is the door. It is cut 4.5" high. Wreath on door is cut 1.50" wide. To accent the door, I added two of the village lampposts which are cut 2.5" high. Using the same wreath image as on the door, I cut two wreaths at 1.02" wide x 1.00" high to hang on the lampposts. Star is cut 1.75" high. When thinking of Christmas, I am always reminded of the Beautiful Star of Bethlehem!
Jolly Holidays - Merry Christmas is cut 3.50" wide.

 Inside of Card

Inside the card is layered with a pretty scrap paper from Martha Stewart Holidays paper pad. The Holly Card image is also from Christmas cartridge. It is cut 4.50" wide. For the perfect finishing touch, I used one of the pretty stamps from Cardz TV "Home for the Christmas" set. I was so happy to have recently been drawn winner for her stamps! Thank you so much Mary!

My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 171 Christmas Spirit

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today begins a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts which will be our last challenge for this year! Challenge 171 is Christmas Spirit. Our design team sister Sandy asked us to create old fashion/vintage Christmas cards or projects.

My card is 5" x 6 1/2" cream cardstock. Patterned papers are from the Paper Studio Yuletide Joy paper pack. Solid papers are from the scrap stash.

Cricut Cartridges:
Santa's Village - Santa in chair is cut 3.5" wide. This is a print and cut image. I never bought a Cricut Imagine machine, but I love the vintage look images on this cartridge. So glad it is available in Cricut Design Space subscription.
Create a Friend - The word Santa's is taken from the phrase Santa's Workshop and cut at 2.25" wide. I added a text box and used letters from Cricut Font and Basic Shape for the word List - cut 1.75" wide.
Christmas Kitsch - ho ho ho are taken from the Ho Ho Ho card and cut 3" wide. This gives the three layers of colors. Merry Christmas is cut 4.50" wide. This sentiment is used on inside of the card.
Inside of card.

A green crinkle ribbon bow from Little Scrap Pieces adds the finishing touch!

Double Twisted Easel Thanksgiving Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Brrr! It is cold in my area this morning! I am not ready for cold weather but maybe I will have more time to play with my Cricut. With Thankgiving Day almost here, I decided to make one more card. This is my play with the Double Twisted Easel card style. If you have not tried one of these cards, you can find the tutorial at Split Coast Stampers. The card starts with a 8" square of Kraft cardstock.
When folded the card will easily fit in a business sized envelope. I think it will be a pretty display for Thanksgiving. Patterned papers are K&Company. Solid papers are from scrap stash.

Cricut Cartridges:
Thanksgiving Table Decor- Cornucopia/mat is cut 3.50" wide. I cut a duplicate mat for the pilgrim hat. Mats are pop-dotted on card.
Autumn Celebrations - Pilgrim Hat is cut 2.75" wide.
Classroom Oct-Nov - Happy Thanksgiving is cut 4.25" wide. It is placed on hand cut mats and pop-dotted on the card. Gelly roll pen used on the turkey for a little detail.

Cuttlebug folder Swiss Dots is used on the hat and Houndstooth is used on the cornucopia. A few extra leaves are randomly placed on the base of card.

Thankful Heart - Iris Folding Leaf

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing another Thanksgiving card. Just thought I had completed all my Thanksgiving cards! Since I love the Fall colors and the holiday, I just had to play with more pretty papers.
Card is 5" x 6 1/2" cream cardstock layered with a brown patterned paper from K&Company paper pad. I have not played with the Iris Folding technique in several years, so I wanted to try making a Iris folding leaf shape for my card. I used a free template found on Circle of Crafters.

Cricut Cartridges:
3D Floral Home Decor -  Using Cricut Design Space, I inserted a basic shape square and resized that to make a 4.75" wide x 6.26" high rectangle. This would be the foundation for the top layer of my card. Using Slice feature, the leaf was cut 4.42" wide x 3.88" high which made the opening in the Kraft paper. Then the fun began choosing papers and creating the Iris Folding leaf.
Thanksgiving -Thankful Heart is cut 3.50" wide.
Wild Card - Happy Thanksgiving is cut 4.25" wide. This is used inside the card.

Inside of Card!
For the finishing touch, I added a bow made with crinkle ribbon that I recently received from Karen at Little Scraps Pieces. I am really pleased with the results of the card! The Iris Folding technique uses strips of paper making this a good way to use some of my pretty scrap papers.
