Mother's Day Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I saw a pretty Make It Now card in the Cricut Design Space Project area and thought it would make a pretty Mother's Day card. Also, I noticed it is the available free cartridge this week. Just had to try it!
I love the print and cut images on this!

Cricut Cartridges:
Kim Byers Mother's Day.....Card measures 5.5" x 4.25" and envelope is sized to fit.
To add my own spin on the card, I duplicated and resized the two flowers to add on the base of card and envelope.
Mother's Day 2015 - Happy Mother's Day is cut 3.50" wide x 2.812" high. This is used inside the card.

Envelope and inside of card.

The center flower image is pop-dotted on the card. I added some pink inking and a few pearls to add more interest. I like the results of the card so well that I actually made 2 cards. My mom passed last year and it is kinda hard making Mother's Day cards. I miss Mom and in memory of her, I will give these cards to recognize the oldest and youngest Moms at my church on Mother's Day!

Baseball Shirt

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I purchased a Cricut Easy Press several months ago (actually last November) and finally decided to try it out! I do not work with vinyl that much, but now I may try it more often!

Cricut Cartridge:
Life Is A Party  -- Baseball

Cricut Font: Varsity Letter Narrow. Using the curve feature in Cricut Design Space, I positioned the letters in BASEBALL for the curve.

I used Cricut Iron On Vinyl in red and white.

I am happy the way the design turned out and my daughter likes the shirt. That is all that matters, huh??

Hope you enjoy! Thanks for your visits and comments!

Hat Box

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Now I am making hat boxes! Well, actually my first one! Are you surprised that it is not Red and Purple! My first one has to be pink! I may have to try those colors soon!

The images are from Dreaming Tree. Hat box is the Skimmer Hat Box SVG. Box base is cut from white Colorbok cardstock. The pretty floral paper is Anna Griffin Blythe Paper Pad. Because I selected the pretty rose paper, I chose to use the Rose SVG from Dreaming Tree Alluring Florals Bundle for my flowers. Of course, all images were cut using my Cricut Explore.

Side view.

The box goes together easily using Dreaming Tree video for the project. The lid lifts up for a gift or storage area. I will use the pretty decorated hat box in my craft room to remind me of the beautiful Spring roses in bloom!

Hope you enjoy! Thanks for your visits and comments!

Spring Banner

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today's card features a Cricut print and cut image. Did you know there are many pretty cut and print images available in Cricut Access? The ivory color card is from Recollections and measures 6 1/2" wide x 5" high. Patterned papers are from the scrap stash.

Cricut Cartridges:
Enjoy the Season - Spring Banner with Flowers is print then cut image. Size is 5.396" wide x 3.135" high.
Cricut Phrases - Scallop Rectangle Tag is cut 6" wide x 4.50" high from the pink patterned paper. Blue layer is 5.715" x 4.17".
Using Insert Shapes, the floral paper mat is cut 6.25" wide x 4.74" high.

Cuttlebug folder Anna Griffin Matelasse is used on the blue layer for added dimension.
Mat edges are inked using Dew Drop Versa Magic.

Enjoy! Thanks for your visits and comments!

Paper Sculptures

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Recently I purchased the Cricut March Digital Mystery Box and have enjoyed playing with some of the images this week. I am loving the 3D SVG images from Dreaming Tree. Today I am sharing my projects.

The design is for a 12" x 12" shadowbox. I had two 9" x 9" white shadow boxes which I purchased last year just because they were on sale! Does anyone else do that?? Well, they were still being unused so I sized the images to fit in the 9" x  9" boxes. I used Colorbok white paper and of course, I had to have some pink! Craft Smith Wedding Neutrals pink paper is used for the background.

Cricut Cartridges:
Dreaming Tree Springtime Gifts - Butterfly Paper Sculpture is cut  26.54"wide x 8.25" high.
Also from the same digital cartridge - Hummingbird Paper Sculpture is cut 28.592" wide x 8.25".

Hummingbird Paper Sculpture

For the 3D effect, the project requires the use of pop-dots (foam pads). I also added some pink gemstones. I will hang these in my craft room. These projects would make awesome gifts too.

The projects go together pretty quickly. But trying to take a decent photo to share turned out to be a big deal! The photo does not capture all the 3D effects.

Hope you enjoy! Thanks for your visits and comments!
